ครู New, Thank you very much for a very valuable lesson. The expressions and words featured have filled a very big gap and long-felt need in my Thai vocabulary. สวัสดีครับ
ขอบคุณนะครับครู🙏😀 แต่ผมมีคำถามครับ ผิวคล้ำ is the polite way to say dark skin. What about white skin? How do we say it then? By the way in our language ( hokkian ) we also describe skin complexion in two type only : bright or dark not base on race and dont have yellow or brown.
@@thailessonsbynew thanks for you reply kruu but we dont have polite way for dark skin. In Thai there is a polite way for dark, I wonder if there is a polite way for white skin too?
i often took a motorbike taxi in bangkok but i always got confused in thai language if i had to ask stop in the beginning of the street or the middle or the end of the street...could you make a lesson around that theme Kruu New?
The fashion trend now in Thailand of wearing colored braces, sai lek dat fan, esp when one doesn't need (?!) seems strange to me as a foreigner...Also find it interesting/sort of funny many Thais, กลัวดำ glua dam...prefer fair to white skin while many westerners like brown to dark - thanks for the lesson 📝👏😉
I like how your facial expression changes when you talk about handsome girl vs gandome guy xD And I definitely don't think all Thais are yellow. That's what people that haven't been to Thailand may think lol. Definitely have seen very pale Thais and very brown Thais lol. Like very lol. So yeah, yellow skin is more of a racial slogan for Asians. Ps. Dark skin looks great. Thais shouldn't worry to sunbathe. But I understand it's not perceived that way by most.
Pretty sure no one actually thinks that all the peoples over the Asian continent look the same in colour and appearance generally. And that colour surely is not yellow. The idea of Asian people being a yellow colour is just some old racist business. If you still hear that from people maybe they are not good people to know.
very very very useful lesson thank you khru New 🙏🙏🙏

Thai is similar to your language. We would call ขาว/kăao/ for lighter colour and ดำ/dam/ for darker colour, no yellow or brown 😊
@@thailessonsbynew thanks for you reply kruu but we dont have polite way for dark skin. In Thai there is a polite way for dark, I wonder if there is a polite way for white skin too?
I think ขาว is justify as a compliment already so it's already a nice word to say
@@thailessonsbynew yeah I thought so although for westerner they prefer tan but for mostly Asian bright skin is preferable. ขอบคุณนะครับครูNew 🙏🙏🙏😀
