    Thank you for the demo replacing with no flats! Mine were just delivered. Can’t wait to trash the always flat tires that were the original stock. Your video was the most helpful. Short of buying a mini truck like a Honda ACTY dump truck I will continue to use my utility cart. Now with No Flats. 🌞🌱❤️

    You’re a life saver! I have had my gorila cart (different model) for a month and I love it EXCEPT I have had several flats, immediately after my husband filled the air tires. I agree these are going in the TRASH and Gorilla should eliminate them and just put these on. I just bought some from Harbor Freight with foam in them but the shaft was too long. Just placed my Amazon order and can’t wait to get them as I use my cart every day right now. THANK YOU! I will subscribe to your channel. Glad I found you and your video was short. I can’t stand when people ramble when the point is quick and easy.

    The tires are fine. The tubes have just gone flat. The problem with tube type tires is that if you don't keep them inflated properly from day one, the tires and tubes will spin on the wheel. Once they spin on the wheel, the valve stems will rub on the sharp edges of the valve stem holes. So I bet that if you use some soapy water as a leak detector, you'll find that the leak was at the valve stem for the tubes. The flaw is that the valve stem holes are not beveled enough and have a sharp edge that cuts into the stems.

      I was wondering if my tires were rotting and I had one go flat after about 3 1/2 years and could not remember and now that you’re saying all this with the tube i rememer- because it is cur at the valve stem (I have two more now) but is there someway to keep these on and still or like soften that edge is there any kind of solution because now I suddenly have two more flats and honestly the only time I could have used it would be just rolling it over to my tire pressure thing I just thought at first it may be these were getting rotten with the heat of California with sitting outside in the sun or something as its prob 4 1/2 yrs old now.. and maybe that’s what it is I don’t know I’m just looking for some way to make this tube stay still EVEN if they’re a little under inflated so I don’t cut these at the valve stem again

    Similar issue... I tightened the valve inserts one had worked itself slightly loose and was also deflating very fast. This completely solved my tire issues with my Gorilla Cart. Also for some reason I seemed to have lost a pair of my valve caps, bummer, ordered a set of them too so I don't get the usual dirt in the valves.
    But, if you still have the old wheels, I'd buy them off you.

  • @bogieman101

    Wondering if you found the leak before you replaced the tires? Could have been from loose valve stem. You also could have replaced the tubes. Would last for years if you didn't punch a hole in them. I would rather have run flat but they are thinner thread width which I don't like and damn expensive for what they are.

  • @mellowjammer
    @mellowjammer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Why don't they make all tire tubes with fully threaded valve stems so that the stem can be tightened to the wheel rim and never shift and get cut by the edge of the valve stem hole in the wheel? They do this on some motorcycle tire tubes...should be standard on all tubes. Won't stop you from getting a flat from a puncture but would help solve the "cut valve stem" issue.

    When you buy something rated as being a "Gorilla" of a cart and it still has center pin steering - you are not getting a Gorilla of a cart, pneumatic tires notwithstanding. The first upgrade I'd do is get rid of it and buy any one of the many heavy duty available carts with articulated steering, then upgrade the tires after I've obtained a cart that tows better and doesn't tip it's front corner when that stupid center pinned rigid axle is turned to ninety degrees to cart axis.

      I have the same problem, and replaced the standard 10-in pneumatics with solid rubber tires. The wheel hub length was shorter, so I needed a 1-in spacer - which I added to the inside of the axle, putting the tires further out, which made it a lot more steady and haven't had any problems with it tipping since then.

      Tell me about it. I can say though, still use it to this day and it got me thru a full house build using it on various heavy heavy haul projects. So, the investment is worth it as long as you keep the cart out of the rain. They do like to rust over time.

    • @2KChilds
      @2KChilds ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don't have to buy the gorilla card brand. You can get any brand of no flat tires for 5 to 10 bucks a piece. Just make sure you get the right size for the cart's weight capacity.

    • @mlaugh3
      @mlaugh3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@2KChilds Really? Not 5 or 10 bucks. I looked all over and most the time the hub is too wide for the axel and were all lot more for a 13"tire. I got mine on Amazon a set of four for $94.00

    • @2KChilds
      @2KChilds ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mlaugh3 Well, the two gorilla carts we have came standard with 10-in pneumatic tires. Which I replaced four solid rubber tires on Amazon - 4 for 42 bucks. Then another 10 bucks for four 1-in spacers, since the hub length on the rubber tires is shorter than the pneumatic ones.
      I also made sure to get solid rubber tires, not the more common rubber tires with a foam center, which deform and go flat under static environments. I've left heavy loads of bricks, pavers, firewood in there for days and had no issues so far.
      I did think about going up to a 13-in, but they were more expensive and not necessary, since the load capacity was more than sufficient on the 10-in tires.

      @@Jeromeeb Hi Jeromee! The second set was fine until I used them in a manner that was not recommended. The first set developed a flat spot on one of the tires from sitting for a long period of time with about 75 lbs of weight on the wheel. The second set quickly developed flat spots and fell apart when I tried running them at 30 mph down the street. I ignored the "not for highway use" warning and they subsequently fell apart. Used properly, and not letting excessive weight in the cart for long period would assuredly yield better results.
