    In Kenya, the political class borrows money on behalf of the entire country, then divides it among themselves. Afterward, they raise taxes to repay the loans, and the cycle continues.

    The protest has become a lesson for many other countries in Africa. In Ethiopia, no protest is allowed, unlike Kenya and Nigeria. Consequently, if Ethiopians manage to protest, it will immediately change into a violent rebellion that will topple the regime.
    In Ethiopia, the citizens are experiencing anger and frustration over demolitions of their homes, rampant corruption, soaring cost of living, rising crimes, and widespread unemployment. It looks like a violent revolution is in the making, and the momentum is building fast. The brutal regime of ABiY has devalued Birr almost 100% further worsening the miserable lives of the people, and it has also shortened its rule by its aggressive actions. The downfall of the regime of ABiy is certain.

    Ruto ate more than he could chew , and now vommiting in his clothes. He got caught up by the emergence of GZ liberation movement group, which he ignored after being warned by his former boss and the national intelligence services (NIS), because he thought he'll deal with them the usual opposition way and things will get back to normality. Unfortunately, these are different tecno breads at adiffrent time in erra. They're young, energetic, tribe less, leaderless, truthful, brace, courageous, and unapologetic. If Ruto continues to kill, kidnap, and abdupt peaceful protestors, he's calling for the formation of civil disobedience armed groups in Kenya 🇰🇪 and will be chaotic for him to handle regardless of what security apparatus he surrounds him self with.

  • @NgaruaMwangi
    @NgaruaMwangi 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    As Kenyans, we are evading a critical discourse that extends beyond the office of the presidency. The issues we face are deeply ingrained in our culture, and our leadership is merely a mirror of the society it governs. The systemic issues we criticize in our leaders are reflective of the everyday behaviors of the citizenry-whether it’s the casual acceptance of littering, reckless driving, bribery, or theft. These are not merely isolated actions but are symptomatic of a broader societal malaise.
    Expecting our leaders to uphold the constitution and act with integrity while we, as citizens, engage in these detrimental behaviors is paradoxical. The reality is that our leaders, including President Ruto, embody the collective ethos of the majority. The futility of recent protests underscores this point; on the ground, individualism reigns supreme, and self-interest often overshadows the collective good. The political elite exploit this weakness, knowing full well that the so-called revolutionaries can be easily swayed with trivial incentives, causing their support base to dissipate rapidly.
    Moreover, our engagement with politicians often reflects our desperation for short-term gains. When we chase after their convoys, listen to their empty rhetoric, and await their handouts, we reinforce a cycle of dependency and superficiality in political engagement. If we truly desire change, we must begin by transforming ourselves and our actions. **Dear Kenyans, the revolution must start within our communities, with a fundamental shift in our values and behaviors.**

    • @SaqibMalik-lo3to
      @SaqibMalik-lo3to 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well thought out and incisive! And one of the cultural shifts is to discard the celebrity status of politicians and the belief that a wealthy MP will miraculously pull us out of poverty. The other fundamental flaw is to value an individual by the wealth they have amassed, irrespective of how (fraudulently) it was acquired.

    • @ubaachieng4668
      @ubaachieng4668 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The first term of the previous government, when most of the looting occurred, was pretty much a co-presidency in which Ruto was said to be involved in the looting which included over pricing of projects for kickbacks and over borrowing. Ruto decided to be clever and act like an outsider, without resigning, as he spent most of the second term campaigning. The sad part is that he has continued campaigning non stop in his presidency therefore adding more cost to government expenditure.

    the elephant in the room is debt. for every 100 shilling collected frpm tax 70 goes to repaying debt, huge fraction of 30 goes to recurring expenditure especiallt from counties eg naironi county owes over 103 billion.
