I have a 2004 XC70 with faulty blowers, I am hoping it has the same design as the V70 because you have given an excellent tutorial, very very clear and well spoken throughout. Thank you very much.
Hi, I’ve watched you replace the blower motor and resistor on the V70. How different is the S80? I’ve got a bad resistor on my blower motor of my 2007 S80. Thank you!
I guess my Vo’s blower declared it’s independence. Fan blows whenever it wants, no matter on which speed it is set on. Will changing the resistor help me on my case? P. S. These type of videos keeps us, old-timer owners, from scraping our engine powered trash bins.
+Kief Delisle Some symptoms would be: Loss of HVAC fan control (total or certain speeds) The fan only works on its highest speed setting No air coming from vents Intermittent or inconsistent fan speed

Is it still in the same place (gloves box) on a UK right hand drive model (this looks like driver side is on the left)

Wonderful video, so useful, thanks
So, a bad resistor van cause blower fan speed to go up and down? Is there a module that should control blower speed too?

I'm having a hard time removing the power cable that goes to the blower motor. Any advice?
Can you drive de car with fan and resistor disconnected?
What are the symptoms of a bad resistor?
