    I have been working on the top speed golf system for two months now and yesterday a was at the driving range and a local pro came over to me and said I have been watching you swing and you have got a lot better fast who is teaching you! I said Clay Ballard top speed golf. To top it off I was able to shoot 8 over for the 18 hole round, Thanks Clay this system works

    Hi Clay, I'm in Vegas where my club is still open for play. I've been a a decent player (4 handicap) for years but every now and then my game goes south. Had a recent tournament at my club where my game fell apart, which is usual when I play under pressure. I end up with too many swing thoughts when things don't go right and I just want the round to get over...
    Played yesterday after watching this video, and my only thought was to "cover the ball" and kept picturing your video in my head. I did my best to forget about positions, shallowing, etc and just allow myself to swing freely with just this in mind.
    Found my best swing in some time, hitting distances I used to have (190 7 iron). The best part was my driver came back to life using the same swing thought. 300-330 off the tee yesterday. By far my favorite video on you tube (at the moment lol). thank you Clay!

    There are good reasons you have so many followers Clay. You are indeed a brilliant instructor.Your 3 -wood tip , namely hitting slightly down on the ball ( rather then sweeping ) has positively transformed my ability to use this club. If you ever come to Australia, l would love to host you and your friends at my club, the "Grand" on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
    ( Promise l won't ask for free tips)

  • @jaymiller5949

    The video on chipping and this one sort of help me understand the swing. Most people, including me, don't understand the swing. I'm a good solid 10 handicap which means I can shoot anywhere from 78 to 90. I can be going along great; get tired or something and then start searching for a swing instead of relying on a grooved swing. I constantly fight: the path of the club head (in my mind; or the shortest/longest distance on the course; between my ears) and how it is supposed to come into the ball at impact. The club head animation on the chipping (one hop stop) was great. I relate the club head to my left hand. Back of my hand is the face of the club, bottom of the hand is the bottom of the club, etc. I know you are probably going to say what my pro says. Take the hands out of it; and then, when I swing; he says your right hand pushed the left hand over. In other words; he just sort of contradicted himself. What should my hands and wrist be doing through the swing in relation to the club head? Is there anyway for you to animate the angle of the club head through the swing and give me a target to hit at impact? I can handle a miss; but a miscue is hard to deal with.

    The concept of compression....is what really taught me that i have to bear down on the ball.....and not try to loft it. It just happens naturally from the club loft. My job is simply to bring down a strong solid centred swing right behind the ball. Made my swiing go from less than 50% success...to well over 90% success in hitting a solid iron shot.

    You make golf seem so easy, like I could watch your videos, then shoot under par. You should have some videos, where you take an average golfer who is struggling a bit, and get them dialed in. ( And sure, I would volunteer).

    I tested my club head speed using optishot with my regular swing versus covering the ball. And the covering ball method is definitely faster...even at half a swing

    I absolutely love how you explain and demonstrate the drill. By the way I am Lefthanded golfer and would like to know how to purchase the (Left handed golfing)) grip piece that you were using in that gripping video. Thanks again and keep up your good work! Maurice W

    Changing my grip to get under the bottom palm instead of in the middle and turning my right hand stronger and keeping my left arm straight event tho i cant go back that far makes flush hits way way way more. I have a great drill. If you set your driver up to door jam or something and grip club and get in position that feels natural to push the head as hard as you can would be the correct grip ball position and body set up just by seeing how u gotta get to be the most sturdy and powerful pushing the head against the jam. And irons grip it and get in natural position you feel most powerful ball position body set up and grip just pushing the head down into the ground in the most powerful grip n posture naturally to feel most powerful pushing down. Set from there. It will change your whole game along with finding the right clubs. And then start hit all your irons flush 15 feet and find flush spot with very short shots and build up from there. Do these drills and cut 20 strokes off u game

    Are you an advocate of Stack & Tilt Clay? I'm considering adopting the pre-set impact position because I can stay covering the ball through impact.

      No, we are an advocate of the Top Speed Golf System :-). You can swing that way but it's not a very powerful. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

    Love your vids. Are you aimed at the target or are you aimed right of the target playing a draw for a 7/6 iron? Im rotating better and now hitting left like I’m pulling the ball. No draw. So wondering about aim. Grew up lined up parallel to the target line created by pin and ball. When I played better as a kid. Regards

      If you hit a draw then it usually helps to aim a little right of the target and let it draw back. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

    Hi Clay, you say aim 45 degrees right but are you aiming your feet shoulders to the right or feet shoulders aiming at the flag thanks 🇬🇧👍

    Great video. Can't wait to get out there and try it!
    One point, the flip swing at 1:19 and the de-lofted swing at 5:34 went the same distance yet apparently the flip swing was 20 yrds short of the green but the de-lofted swing made the green. How so?

      @TopSpeedGolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, great point. I looked into it and I'm pretty sure we had the wrong data on there for the flip swing. I think Clay is hitting a 9 iron and there is no way he his it that far flipping a 9 iron. It probably went 140ish. Sorry for the confusion. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

      @@TopSpeedGolf No problem. Guessed it'd be something like that. One other thing watching it back again, am I right in saying if you have a divot after the ball then you must have forward shaft lean?, or is it somehow possible to flip but still take a divot?

    Hi Clay, really informative video. When turning, are you left or right side dominant? Do you feel one is better than the other? Thanks for your insight!

    Great video thanks quick question if un don’t mind , what about having more shaft lean at address.
    I’m off to the driving range to work on this today will be back thanks again

    • @TopSpeedGolf
      @TopSpeedGolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Having the shaft leaning forward at address doesn't mean that's where it will be at impact and that's the only place where it matters. If it helps you then by all means :-)
