BOTTOM LINE: Better friends would easily have prevented this
Had 3x the amount of alcohol with THC 9 (illegal need MMC which he didn’t have) so he was drinking a lot but no one stopped him until he entered LB’s bar.
I still blame his “friends” for not staying with him to see he got back to hotel safe they just wanted to stay and drink more. They probably were using THC also

Original report said no water in the lungs, called it a "dry drowning" Now they found water in his lungs? How is that possible?

That could be easy and clear to answer, IF
They would actually show the report that supposedly says that there was no water in his lungs.
The only thing I have seen in reference of that is a statement from the guy his family hired and that is speaking of a lung edema and fluid in the chest cavity which is exactly what is to be expected if someone drowns in freshwater. Without the exact words it is impossible to say how this "no water in the lungs rumor" started, but yes it is explainable.
If he had a brief conversation with a police officer after leaving the bar with that high of an alcohol level why didn't the police officer take him in to the police station and arrest him for public drunkenness. At least he would have been safe 😢
Because the “brief conversation” consisted of the two passing each other walking in opposite directions and them saying “how are you”? “Good and you”? And then keeping on walking. It was literally them passing each other on the sidewalk.

Could that THC have been put in his drink? That would DEFINITELY explain why his "friends" didn't look for him, went to a dance the next day instead of searching for him and have never spoken to his parents. A LOT of us have suspected this is what happened.

He and his friends visited several bars, he purchased one alcohol drink and two waters at the last bar he went to, he was clearly drunk when he left.
This is a very sad situation. Shame on the fraternity brothers...imo. I think the people at LB's bar did they right thing but also don't feel the bar should be responsible to make sure every over-served person gets home safe. Prayers for Riley & his family ❤️🩹🙏
Words matter!!! Report says video shows Ryley stumbling and falling in parking lot, but what it really shows is Ryley running from someone or something and tripping and falling headfirst into the concrete base of a lamp post... From my point of view, Ryley was "stumbling" when he got up because of how hard his head hit the base.
What was Ryley running from?

I don’t know who the hell is doing these autopsies and investigation, but it’s a bunch of BS. Something else happened to that kid we all know that is drunk as he is there’s no reason that his boots and his pants and his wallet and all that crap should’ve been taken off.

Riley was attacked and robbed cut and dry. You need to talk to those men camped out along side of the river. One drink will not make you drunk. His boots and clothes were missing. If it was an accidental drowning, he would have been still wearing them. This is a cover up, because of publicity.... Still say that Riley Strain was murdered.

They were in four bars. The one last drink was in the last bar. The family tracked his evening after it happened by the charges on his card. He definitely had more than one drink.

He was wearing a belt, pants aren't going to fall off and neither are both boots. Did they test for GHB? No wonder the parents are seeking further info...

I think you meant to say debit card found and not wallet. If wallet was found that would be new news then we would want to know if cash & i.d. was included. Also, it's hard for pants & boots to come off if he was wearing a belt. It's hard to say if he went into the river 1/2 dressed? Thanks again for the update!
Sounds as though his drink(s) were spiked. Did he go to the river to wade in to try and feel better? Where were these so called friends? I’d question them individually. So sad. My condolences to his family. How difficult it must be to accept his diploma posthumously!

This confirms what I’ve thought all along. They were bar hopping and ended up at Luke Bryan’s bar where he was being unruly and kicked out. His “friends” let him leave alone and he ended up stumbling around in the wrong direction from his hotel. I suspect he may have stopped close to the river to use the bathroom and either slipped or tripped and fell down the hill into the river. His pants being unfastened would explain them being pulled off by the water along with his boots. His friends are ultimately responsible for leaving him on his own in that condition. The cop should have done something as well. The family needs to accept that this was a tragic accident and move on.

Ok, when he met up with the officer he did what everyone does when they have alcohol in them... you try to act sober. As he did. Rewatch this part of that video , he acted perfectly fine.. no slurred words no stumbling. If I saw him at that moment I wouldn't think there was anything wrong. Stop blaming the police.
Also they stated the friends DID go out after him but until they made it out to him he was gone. Remember they weren't allowed out that door.. so they had to get through the crowd of people n maybe possibly grab everyone in their group!

This is not so uncommon. Fraternities often sponsor drinking parties with 50 gallong garbage cans for drinkers to vomit in. After regurgitation many frat brothers see at as a sign they can continue drinking safely. All this leads to an atmosphere of one-upmanship where partyers feel obligated to outdrink the others. When I was in college one student was rushed to the hospital after imbibing mire than two quarts of hard liquor. Three days later he passed away after being taken off life support. Only two weeks later another student fell backwards over a balcony from the fourth floor of the dormitory after stumbling through the lounge backwards through an open sliding glass door. He remained a paraplegic the rest of life. This was only one semester. Campus police seldom were able to do anything to stop this. And hazing on football teams is far worse
They were not his friends leaving him all alone in that shape. I’m sure they have tremendous guilt. I feel for his family.

Yes, a sad situation that could have been avoided in numerous ways. Regardless, we need to educate... College students party like this commonly. Binge drinking, club hopping, etc. it is their responsibility to drink responsibility. Nothing good happens when you loose control

Which bar was he at when he told his mom his drink tasted funny? Someone sstole his pants and boots and belt. They didn't want the shirt cuz it was too obvious to notice. The private investigator said he had a higher amount of the drug that the body produces a small amount of
I believe news reports were that Riley was believed to have gone into the river on or about the 8th of the month, and his body was discovered and removed from the river on or about the 22nd day of the month. When Riley’s body was found, was his body’s condition consistent with the body having been in the river water for 14 days?
I personally believe he went for a swim trying to sober himself up... unfortunately his life took a tragic turn. May Riley rest in peace with our Lord.

He was very intoxicated now that his boots were off. My thought is he was so drunk and high he took his boots off to go for a swim to sober up .
He was not high. He had trace amounts of THC. A trace of something is a very small amount of it. He probably smoked weed the day before this happened

They weren’t responsible for his drunken condition. They cut him off after one drink when they realized how drunk he was. If anyone else shares responsibly with him in his death, it is his so-called frat brothers.
So drunk and out of control people should be left Inside? Should they be expected to have adult daycare? I feel horribly for him and his family but bars throw drunk people out and have for a thousand years.
If one wants to boil it down to something trivial like guilt or blame than that should be:
"He shouldn't have drank that much alcohol." Case closed.

Of course not but if someone wants to blame anyone, don't blame the people he was with, don't blame the bar, don't blame the cop who passed by him on the street.
