Dennis, you are getting better at this video skill, I found this one Very helpful and scanned slow enough that the frames were still in focus for pause viewing for greater detail...Thanks !!!
@@redblackvette God bless you too Dennis, I'm considering on building one from scratch as I'm a UK resident and these are very scarce in the UK and let's face it these are some of the most beautiful small planes
Hi dennis, it's me again more questions. I'm heading for 68 years old and last year got several hours in A Ramos before they sold it and I never got to complete my instruction in it. I'm A Private Pilot way back in 1977. That said You seem to know more about Ultra Cruisers than anyone on youtube. I am possibly going to look at a Ultra cruiser with a 45 horsepower half VW my scary part is I have never flown a taildragger, do you have any opinions on that? Even the flight school that I had went to last year have no tail dragger aircraft. Any of you are kind of wisdom would be appreciated
Hi Steve Castle well sir we are the same age!! As for tail dragger time I got about an hour and a half in a Champ. And I did not do all that good at first. But I got it and when I flew the UC it was so much easier than the Champ could of ever been. Now I will always tell everyone one to fly off grass and of course land on grass. Until you really get a feel for it.And when you go to hard surfaces make sure you have a pneumatic tail wheel. Not a solid hard plastic wheel. The UC handles very well but just please try to do as I'm saying. Please let me know if this was helpful......
Thank you for your kind reply and yes your information is always helpful. Hope it's okay if I continue to ask you questions. I have a used one to look at problem is a place to keep it I think it may fit in my garage with the wings off. I also have talked to Hummel and they have a tricycle gear conversion kit for 2100 Plus shipping. Seems a lot of people on the Hummel Facebook site are switching over to tricycle gear. Don't know if it's worth it or not? It is a big and expensive purchase to make at my life at this age but I'm not getting any younger. Thank you again for your help
Hi Tod C well sir it may just look light because it's not in the fuselage. And your not seeing all the attachment points. Plus Matt says the carry through is double and longer...
Wow......just a great little plane. Painted or polished it's a great design. Bless ya Dennis
Hi @barrywinslow9798 oh yes sir you will not get an argument out of me on that!! God bless you my friend....

That Yellow one with the polished alooominum is so pretty, aside from the nose gear.
Hi Cluelessbeekeeper it's your lucky day sir!! I believe it's for sale.....but it has a training wheel on the front..
That Original UltraCruiser looks like a build back better evolution, neat !!
Hi Regdor yes sir it's a great build back for the original UC!!!

Cool air plane
Hi Mr Jeep75 yes sir it is and you need one!! Check out Hummel Aircraft Company.....
So this new wing makes it an even faster build...?
Hi Electric Aviation well sir want Matt said it makes it easier to ship overseas. I'm not sure about the speed....
That tail wheel is rather unusual on the redone original...
Hi Regdor wow good catch by you sir!! I do not recommend that if you are flying off hard surface runways. It can not get traction. Fine for grass
Hi sir
Hi Junoon Music hi to you too sir!!
@@redblackvette sir please share the body structure ..wing size and all details
Man, that center section makes me a bit uneasy. Seems light

If it works it works! Just commenting on the necked down spar at the center section without much apparent beefing up of structure.
