Hi@@barrywinslow9798 lol well sir I sure can't wait for you to build one either!! Then you can join in on all the fun!! Have you got to watch my building videos? You will be so much fun to help during your build. Again God bless you with your build!!! And keep watching my videos.....
What a treat Dennis. I guess Terry had little to worry about with all of your Ultra Cruiser flight hours. While this "green house" canopy may appeal to some, I prefer the bubble as it makes the UC look like a mini fighter. I would think the larger turtle deck and canopy would be pushing the weight limit, unless of course, Terry trimmed off weight elsewhere, like the missing tail cone.
Hi Gary Plewa thank you sir!! Well I believe Terry said it came in at 258. But I would have to watch my videos. Any way I'm with you with the bubble canopy....looks like a fighter!! Lots of videos coming....
Learned to fly aerobatics in a T-6. Easy to loop. Not so sure I would want to loop the Hummel. I talked to a guy that had a Ercoupe he said he had flown a loop with so I guess you can in almost anything, if your cahonies are large enough! Nice plane, just missing a red spinner.
Hi Dennis enjoy your videos. I'm sort of looking around and thinking of maybe getting an Ultra cruiser. I know of one with a half vw. Do you have any knowledge of how to convert it to electric start? I know it will add some weight but really bothers me being 67 years old and props starting an airplane. I've looked all over TH-cam it cannot find any electric start conversions. If you could give me some info I sure would appreciate it thank you
I didn't brother. I have been up to my eyeballs at work lately. Terry asked if he could throw a plane in my hangar to make room and I said sure. Didn't even realize he what he needed the room for!
Burns a lot less fuel than the other AT-6 too! I had to look it up but the old AT-6 carries about 110 gallons, so that's over two Ultracruisers' empty weight, worth of avgas!
Mr Brooks, do you still have your h5? If so could you show your engine compartment to include throttle hook up at the carb, remote oil filter if there is one etc. Thank you sir
@jacekpiterow900 It's normal with aluminum aircraft. It's called oil canning, and much of what you hear is the rudder cables running through the aft fuselage.
@@DeltaVTX I was thinking about some kind of adhesive tape where metal sheets overlap. Something which is used to glue cellphone screens to the phone case. I think this compound will be flexible for really different temperatures and stay that way for long.
Hi djal1030 no sir it is not. I will tell you if you find one for sell if it's a good one they go fast. So jump on one if you find one. I know I could sell mine real easy....
Hi @davidmann4533 well sir they are not. You had better fly one before you able one as such. Great flying airplanes of which I have over 2000 hours in.......
Nice looking canopy
Hi Brent1041 yes sir it's sure different...
Hey ya big Pooh Bear....lol.....can't wait to build one of these.....just too much flying fun. Bless ya Buddy

NIce looking AT-6!
Hi TryStateAirport lol yes it is!!!
That's a Purdy one. ❤
Hi@@GarysEagle yes sir it sure was!! It got sold.....
@redblackvette you know not long after I asked about your friends Affordaplane redrive I ended up buying my legal eagle with the same redrive.

Hi DDT1934 yes sir not to sure about doing a loop. But I think about every airplane can do a roll. Oh yeah it needs a red spinner!!!

Hi Steve Castle thank you sir. By the way I'm 68 and I prop mine!! But Scott a Hummel Engines does do electric start for 1/2 VW.
I forgot that was this weekend! You taxied right by my hangar!
Hi circutmonkey6 oh man that's to bad sir. I guess you did not see my reminder videos...

Hi pdutube lol yes sir the UC is not as Thirsty.
Where / what web site does terry have it listed on?
Cool plane!!!
Mr Brooks, do you still have your h5? If so could you show your engine compartment to include throttle hook up at the carb, remote oil filter if there is one etc. Thank you sir
Hi d ro 506 yes is I can do that right now as I am home!!!
Bhagwan sadda khush rkhe
Hi BobMehra8711 well thank you sir.....I think...
Decided to cut the take off out of the real huh? 🤔
Hi Everpresent33908 well sir not sure what you mean now. That was a couple years ago. But I will say the take off was a bit squirrely....
As a pilot and a car enthusiast, it's so weird seeing automotive style gauges on a cockpit panel 😮
Hi SLGY yes sir that would be a strange thing to a real pilot!!!
So which is quieter the brain or the half Volkswagen motor? Hours till rebuild on the v twin?
Hi themechanic6 well sir I have to say the 1/2 VW is quieter.
I want to put a porcha 6cyl in one or a turbine engine maybe rig some retractable gear. Wonder how a small jet engine would be 🤔😁👋
Hi Donald Anderson 5291 wow sir I think it would need to be a H5 not a UC. But I like how you are thinking.......
Nice looking plane what is the price on it? And are you still using the VW engines?
Hi ScottFrasca7489 thank you sir. It was not my airplane and it did get sold. Yes VW engines can still be used......
@@redblackvette thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate it. Please keep making your videos. I love watching them.
Cool Dude
Hi Mark Knue thank you sir. It sure was a different look for a UC. Terry sold it....
Hi Mark Krue thank you sir!!
What airport were you at fir this video
Hi HFJCHS123 well sir this is Hummels airport in Bryan Ohio. Airport identifier is 0G6
Is there a way to make the metal of the airplane skin not rattling so much?
This it’s the best part 😅 the sound
@@juanalmira350 Little uncomfortable. Worries me that if will fall apart.

Make it out of thicker metal

It looks like a Varga ( shinn)
Hi @deanmurphy1240 well sir there are a lot of airplanes it looks like. I had not thought of the Varga. Thank you for your input...
What is the listed price?
Hi Electric Aviation Channel well sir I just asked Terry . He said $20.000.00
@@redblackvette That is a good deal!
is it still available?
