Exactly right! I remember my parents making me cover my eyes during the boob scene in Titanic! But like Joe, I had full reign on the internet in middle school watching people get their heads cut off with a buck knife on ebaumsworld!
2:40 Also in a retirement home there are visiting hours so your family HAS to leave at a certain time. You don't have to be the one to make them leave.
I had a discussion with someone years ago about the showering thing. They thought I was weird for showering at night. So I googled and found probably the best advice about it. If showering makes you sleepy, it's best to shower at night. And if it wakes you up it's best to shower in the morning. It makes me sleepy so I don't often shower in the morning.
That makes sense to me but even though showering wakes me up I’m going to shower at night because I think it’s gross to get into my bed dirty from the day. Like I would feel the need to wash my sheets so often if I showered in the morning.
Depends on how sleep deprived I am. I've had times when I worked graveyard I had to stay up for days at a time and ended up accidently falling asleep in the shower. But once I started working days again they started waking me up more.
The cremation bit should have been a Seinfeld episode "No, I'm telling you this isn't my mother's dust! Are you telling me there's not the dust of someone else? How can you know?? IT'S ALL DUST!"
In response to the cemetery or compost comment; dead bodies in cemeteries are filled with embalming fluids which help to preserve the body. These fluids are extremely toxic, such as formaldehyde. The coffins are also meant to protect the body and take more than a lifetime to deteriorate and use up alot of space. Composting dead bodies is leaving the body to naturally decompose, if it is in a coffin it would be biodegradable. Hope this helps :)
That smile on Joe's face when he said "kill your husband" 😂 I lost it! Also, recording kind gestures to people is how they make more money to give money to people in need.

YES!!! My cranberry sauce is always peoples’ favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner! It’s so good, I feel like it’d go well on almost any food! Poor Joe has no idea what real cranberry sauce tastes like.
I always shower at night because it feels gross to get into my clean bed with the "dirt of the day" on me. I'm also a sweaty person and tend to sweat a lot throughout the day even when I don't work out, so night showers are a must.
I'll bet part of it is child labor laws and you can only have a minor work on set for a certain number of hours. It's probably easier to just hire early 20 somethings to get around this. Also, I'm sure the older someone is, the more experience they have and are probably better at acting. Sometimes though you really have to suspend your disbelief to think these people are teens lol.
Unpopular opinion: Several people commenting on every one of Joe's posts to "bring back idiots of Walmart" or "the Internet" or "craigslist" or "madlibs"... Joe obviously is over doing those videos, at least for now...I mean he left the internet for a long time because shit got repetitive for him and he was bored/not enjoying himself anymore. His new stuff is GREAT... And just be happy he's posting regularly again! 😊
Joe I gotta tell you…cemeteries are definitely not composting the bodies in the ground…the casket (which, may or may not be made of actual wood) is encased in concrete so it can never decompose
@9BallBory more often than not, there is concrete already in the hole called a burial vault, it's there to keep the ground from collapsing once the wood of the casket is no longer stable
I put the canned cranberry sauce on my table on Thanksgiving because something about it makes my sister and I laugh every year. I don't think anyone ever eats it.
My dad is the only person who likes the canned cranberry on thanksgiving but we respect it because he grew up eating it every year. And it couldn’t be just any cranberry, it had to be canned. It’s just a cathartic reminder of his childhood for him.
I did an internship at a nursing home and let me tell you those residents were so so unhappy. they would rather sleep than go out in the common area. someone i took care of was consistently dirty and it broke my heart. another one was when a resident put her call light on and when i told the nurse she needed to be changed ( because at the time i couldn’t lift of dress/undress residents) and he rolled his eyes and turned her light off. broke my heart
I’m anti nursing home because as a nursing student several years ago doing a clinical rotation at one I saw horrible things. Some of it is not the nursing home’s fault and some of it is. I’m never allowing my parents to be put in a home, but everyone has to make the decision that is best for them.
As a nurse...I can agree to this. Some nursing homes are great, but from what I've seen, it's very hard to find a good one. The lack of care is concerning. If your parents aren't super dependent and sick, then I really advocate for senior living apartments and communities. You can even get home health nurses set up to go check on them weekly.
The worst I've seen was an alzheimers unit where some of the people are practically normal and others are screaming continually (and nurses chatting to each other and ignoring all of it).

i knew a girl who not only had a pic of herself as her phone background but would constantly update it to other pictures of herself, everytime i saw her phone it would changed
12:05 I actually have some answers to this one. So modern cemeteries can be awful for the environment. All the wood, cement, metal, and concrete that goes into the modern cemetery, plus the lawn upkeep, is a huge drain on resources. Plus, those caskets will leak, and formaldehyde gets into the local ground water. HOWEVER, green cemeteries, especially conservation cemeteries, are different. They involve burying a body in just a shroud, a cardboard box, or if you're really fancy, a woven reed box. Because cemeteries in the United States have to be up kept into perpetuity, the land can never be developed and is saved for forests and local wildlife, with just a few dead bodies in the ground. Body composting uses mushrooms to break down a body into soil, and this is done in an individual plastic pod. It's only legal in Washington State. It's illegal to use the same cremation machine for both humans and animals, but a tiny bit of cremanes of a previous person will be present in your ashes. Just a little. There are alternatives. Water cremation uses lye and other caustic, base chemicals to melt the flesh, leaving bones which are ground up and are the same as cremated remains. Also, embalming is never a legal requirement nor is it necessary for human safety. If a funeral home tries to pressure you into embalming, you have the right to take the body elsewhere. Remember, it's your corpse and you have rights. So get that advanced directive so folks know what you want
Yeah, wtf was he on about lmao. But I have to say, there ARE underage kids who manage to get into bars and clubs (lots of people were doing it back when I was in cegep) but it's definitely not legal like he made it sound 😅
In Arizona, we had a law change and now pretty much everything is 21. Used to be 18 for tobacco, 21 for liquor, weed, and gambling. Now, you have to be 21 to get a pack of cigarettes.
12:21 - animals and humans do NOT get cremated in the same units. It’s illegal to cremate humans and animals in the same retort. I work at a crematory lol
Immediately, when Joe started talking about Walt Disney’s frozen head, it made me think of the anti-semite joke from an old basement yard episode with him and Danny😅 that bit was hilarious when they started talking about it as if they were pest control giving a quote on a termite job lol
The reason for the hatred of nursing homes is because they're horrible places. My grandmother was in a home for a month. She was 95 with dementia. They got her meds wrong 9 times in a week, one time they were random meds out of the cart, fed her garbage that she couldn't even eat because it was so burnt it couldnt even be cut, and the neglect is rampant. She had to go to the hospital in an ambulance because they let her get dehydrated. She was covered in bedsores and was pretty much abandoned in her room. She was bathed twice in the month she was there. Nobody visited her except my mother and I, and that was to make sure the staff did what they get paid $50/h for. We ended taking her back home so that she could pass in comfort. Her husband was in one in the 70s. He peed himself and the staff left him in the pissed-in chair for three days. Nursing home staff doesn't care about the patients.
Completely disagree with 1:32 about being too cold is "better". First off this is not an unpopular opinion, most people I know hate the heat and love the cold, I see it online too. Liking warm weather is an unpopular opinion, I don't know many people who like the summer. Personally for me, I hate the cold, I can wear 20 jackets and still be freezing, not to mention you can't do anything to warm your face when out. I will take the heat any day, 80-90 degrees F is not something that bothers me, I like it. Anything 60F and below is too cold for me. I have a theory that people who like the cold have warmer bodies and people who hate the cold have colder bodies. Also cranberry sauce is delicious, I like candy corn too.
Bro showering in the dark is SO FUN, I cannot recommend it enough. If you got a glass door to your shower, shine a flashlight through in only one place and enjoy some ambient music or something.
Actually, you don't get the plot forever at most cemeteries, after about 50 years many of them will dig up and replace the contents of the grave. Commonly there is a term of internment after which time time the plot comes open for the next person. Family plots are a rare thing and those are the plots you will see graves over a century old, but money is exchanging hands to make that happen. Cemeteries are a business.
TW: Animal/Pet Loss - Post Mortem Large animal veterinary technician here - (not so) fun fact if you choose "mass disposal" for your dead horse, pig, llama, alpaca, cow, reindeer (etc) at our hospital, it goes into a large vat filled with acid that we refer to as "the digester". We usually don't tell the owners this because it is so morbid. Some owners elect for their furry friend to be cremated, but it is SUPER expensive. When you have a 1400 lb. horse, cremation can run you thousands upon thousands of dollars. We also sift all of the bone and tooth fragments that "the digester" cant break down and it gets spread on the soil around our campus - these fragments are high in calcium and make for a great fertilizer (I work at a large animal hospital on a college campus that is known for their school of agriculture). Anyway - just a fun little tidbit of my everyday life lmao I also know that a lot of small animal hospitals offer "group cremation"; which is pretty self explanatory. This is a MUCH cheaper option and you still get to have some of your own pets' ashes back.
If I was around you when you are having dating apprehension I would be telling you “You’re Joe Santagato, she is the one that should be apprehensive, worrying if she will meet your standards and be worthy of your time “. I guess giving you more of a pep talk extolling your abundant qualities and virtues. Anyone watching your vids for a period of time can pick up that you are a good guy and someone that is easy to have a fun time with.
So for the composting thing, dead bodies are processed to look good for funerals, and caskets decompose very very slowly. Dead bodies being embalmed and buried in those gaudy caskets is awful for the environment. I dont want to be embalmed or buried like that, personally

I was a fresh 17 year-old stuck overnight at Port Authority and there was a homeless man that was matted and smelled like piss. He asked me for a coffee. I had bought a black coffee and a bagel and told him "Here. It's black. So you can add whatever you want." He was extremely thankful and I went and just grabbed another coffee because I didn't have the money for anything else. But I really hope I made his day. 20 years later I still think about hoping he got a better deal in life.
I had a dude sit next to me on a plane and all he talked about was the drugs he took and I wanted nothing more than to just put my headphones in and pass out but he was so loud lol
The only good thing about recording good deeds like feeding and helping the homeless…is that if it does go viral they make more money to use on people in need.
In Europe everything starts at 18 years old, drivers license, buying alcohol, clubbing, be able to rent a vacation home etc. Weddings are expensive here as well btw.
I try telling people to shower by candlelight/nightlight all the time! It's so relaxing, and sensual-- such a fucking vibe! People act as if it's some deep niche kink or something. It's just calming; really not that weird. 🤷🏼♀️
Composting a body can be done a few ways: just putting a body into the ground, melting in down to liquid and used as fertilizer/ to feed an animals, etc. It’s actually very good for the environment. You can also use a hydro-pressure in some areas to make your body into essentially human soup and use to to grow trees, etc. Very interesting stuff.
Nope, European weddings are also big and ridiculous for the most part. It’s literally where the idea of the giant American Christian church wedding originated
Ive learned the reason why adults over 18 are cast to play highschoolers or even like 8th graders is because theres laws in acting that only allow kids under 18 to work certain hours in a day, so its easier to cast an adult who can work however long they need to
My 92 year old nan passed last year, she was in a home for a few years after living with my parents for a few years after the passing of my bamp. She woke up in the middle of the night to use the toilet and they were short staffed so the carer was rushing her even though her legs were bad and needed full support, this resulted in the carer pushing my nan instead of supporting. She then picked my nan up, put her back in bed (which isn't allowed) and left her there for the rest of the night in excruciating pain 😢. When the day staff arrived this hadn't been handed over and one of the day staff visited my nan and phoned an ambulance straight away. My nan had to have surgery as a result to the fall, and then had internal bleeding from this. It was a dreadful few weeks watching my nan deteriorate before her passing 😢😢.

Disney spent 100 years making billions of dollars off of rebranding other people's ideas. Look up any successful Disney movie. 10 times out of 10, the story was based on someone else's novel, or nursery rhyme. Or it was a remake of someone else's movie. The fact that they have an Imagination department is hillarious. All they do is steal ideas!
Hear me out though: what the company does best is bring the stories to life with visuals, voices, music, etc. It’s my understanding that they don't take credit for the stories, but even if they do, they are bringing a story to life (also through their own interpretation) which otherwise may have never made it off some book pages.
I never understood the cemetery tradition, like i get you want to honor their lives or whatever the fuck but bro just throw me in a lake, i don't care, i'm dead! why do we have like football fields of corpses that do nothing but take up space?
The buff 20 yr olds thing I feel is completely justified. There are some people that have bad self esteem because of their body, me included. It sets an unrealistic expectation for girls and guys. I’ve met girls before that have said their standards are too high because of shows like riverdale or whatever.
@@iWeir101 you don’t need actual sex scenes in movies. If you had to, you could do something that would “insinuate” them having sex, like in outer banks’ final episode.

I wanted to say I’d already seen much worse but also didn’t want to tell on myself. It’s funny when parents try to shelter their kids so much but completely miss that kids are going to see some shit when they’re not around.
Exactly right! I remember my parents making me cover my eyes during the boob scene in Titanic! But like Joe, I had full reign on the internet in middle school watching people get their heads cut off with a buck knife on ebaumsworld!
Doesn't matter they were trying to keep you innocent, that's the point. They were being good parents.
My parents were strict with it, and I was never exposed to it during my childhood. Times are very different now sadly.
@@libratude9595exactly! Good parents do the right thing. That’s what they were doing.
Lol genuinely I had restrictions but still found the most vile traumatizing stuff on Kik cuz they never really checked my phone
@@lizs5435same i get out of work at 3am and even tho they wake me up, i prefer to shower at night bc of all the bar cooties
Depends on how sleep deprived I am. I've had times when I worked graveyard I had to stay up for days at a time and ended up accidently falling asleep in the shower. But once I started working days again they started waking me up more.
Yeah I’m not switching seats on a plane. I paid $37 extra dollars to sit by the window and you’re not taking that from me 😂
we needed frankie in this video to correct joey on everything he said about cremation, graveyards, etc. cuz he was so wrong in so many ways😂
I couldn’t leave the comment section until I saw someone else said something 😹
Lmfao yes!!! I was getting ready to explain it all in the comments but way too much work
The cremation bit should have been a Seinfeld episode "No, I'm telling you this isn't my mother's dust! Are you telling me there's not the dust of someone else? How can you know?? IT'S ALL DUST!"
OMG! I can just picture George Castanza annoying a funeral home about it being the wrong ashes 😂😂
I love how Joe just randomly cosplayed as Rocky Balboa
That smile on Joe's face when he said "kill your husband"
😂
I lost it!
Also, recording kind gestures to people is how they make more money to give money to people in need.
The difference is intention
Also most people who film these good deeds brag about the tax write offs for that good deed lmao so it depends on your true intentions
So pure of Joe to think care homes are a good place 🥺
Crazy to think that I found your channel 8 yrs ago. Thank you for all the laughs during a difficult time in my life. Recently started watching your content again and I get the same vibes in these new videos as the ones back in 2016. Will have a lot to catch up on then.
Lmaooo I also kick my feet in excitement when I get underneath the warm covers!!! 🤣💀
Somebody needs to make Joe actual cranberry sauce made with boiled cranberries. Then, a side by side taste test.
Agreed
It baffles me how out of millions of actors they can't find an athletic teenager that looks like an athletic teenager.
Joey looks so cute at 0:28 when he says “I don know” 😍
Dying laughing about the chihuahua shaking🤣🤣 while you said that I look over and my chihuahua was shaking lol
Also the embalming, that is still often done in the U.S.
I’ve never seen them bury a casket with concrete around it
@9BallBory more often than not, there is concrete already in the hole called a burial vault, it's there to keep the ground from collapsing once the wood of the casket is no longer stable
Indian weddings cost WAY more, they're baller but still
Unpopular opinions: these videos are funnier than his old videos
I agree. I loved ppl of Walmart and madlibs, but his humour has evolved and these are more entertaining. I do however NEEEEEED another slam poetry 😂
I love seeing him grow and become a good person. I was with hom when he was in his mom's basement.
I put the canned cranberry sauce on my table on Thanksgiving because something about it makes my sister and I laugh every year. I don't think anyone ever eats it.
I love Cranberry sauce! and Candy corn for that matter.
tf?? wasting that deliciousness, y'all mental.
8:20 how the eff did joe get Rocky Balboa to do the Ads for his channel 😂😂😂
Its just funny to me when i see parents being absolute dicks to their kids because in tge coming decades, money is gonna be t i g h t
The worst I've seen was an alzheimers unit where some of the people are practically normal and others are screaming continually (and nurses chatting to each other and ignoring all of it).

I would rather be too cold than too hot because it’s easier to get warm than to cool off!
I got hot suuuper easily, so I'd much rather be cold.
When you said we should "thaw out Walt's head and step on it cause he had weird thoughts" probably the funniest shit I've heard in awhile
i knew a girl who not only had a pic of herself as her phone background but would constantly update it to other pictures of herself, everytime i saw her phone it would changed
The legal drinking age in Montréal is 18 🤷🏻♀️. 16 would be crazy 😂
Came here to say this! Thank you!😂
Yes, in Quebec, Manitoba and Alberta the drinking age is 18. Everywhere else in Canada is 19.
Yeah, wtf was he on about lmao. But I have to say, there ARE underage kids who manage to get into bars and clubs (lots of people were doing it back when I was in cegep) but it's definitely not legal like he made it sound 😅
Ça m'a fait "tické" aussi quand j'ai entendu ça 😉
In Arizona, we had a law change and now pretty much everything is 21. Used to be 18 for tobacco, 21 for liquor, weed, and gambling. Now, you have to be 21 to get a pack of cigarettes.
Dude YES on sleeping in the cold. A massive blanket, maybe a second to wrap around my neck or head. It's so cozy I love it.
I NEED Joe and Kieth to play the game where they both wear headphones and talk to each other. These guys would be hilarious 😂😂
12:21 - animals and humans do NOT get cremated in the same units. It’s illegal to cremate humans and animals in the same retort. I work at a crematory lol
14:19 😭 “we should probably just thaw it out and step on it”
Sleeping in the cold is the way. I’ll blast my fan and get under like ten blankets and curl up like a mf cat.
easier to get warm than to stay cool.
@@UltimateGamerCC its much harder to retain body heat than cool off, its why so many people die in the winter.
Nickel back, bro? HELL YEAH
im under attack, i love that, im gonna say that next time in having anxietty attack lol tahnks joe
To the person who said something about American weddings, um dude have you ever seen what an Indian wedding looks like? 🤨 (they’re goated)
I'd rather be too cold than be too warm. There's only so many layers you can take off in public when you get hot before you catch charges lmfao
Dark showers with a glow stick is the shit 😂😊
Dude I just wanna be friends with Joe, we'd get along well 😂😂

@@ankieb3980they just said they wanna be friends tf
Bro showering in the dark is SO FUN, I cannot recommend it enough. If you got a glass door to your shower, shine a flashlight through in only one place and enjoy some ambient music or something.
I agree with the cemetery one! Eventually we’re gonna run out of space 🤷♀️
TW: Animal/Pet Loss - Post Mortem
Large animal veterinary technician here - (not so) fun fact if you choose "mass disposal" for your dead horse, pig, llama, alpaca, cow, reindeer (etc) at our hospital, it goes into a large vat filled with acid that we refer to as "the digester". Anyway - just a fun little tidbit of my everyday life lmao
I also know that a lot of small animal hospitals offer "group cremation"; which is pretty self explanatory.
Thank you for defending Nickelback

I had bought a black coffee and a bagel and told him "Here. It's black. So you can add whatever you want." He was extremely thankful and I went and just grabbed another coffee because I didn't have the money for anything else.
I will NOT stand for the cranberry sauce slander 😂

Showering in the dark, sir I barely want to close my eyes when I wash my face 😂😂😂
Joe returning to the womb to sleep every night is something I can’t un-imagine now…thank you….🐣🐣🐣
I never understood the cemetery tradition, like i get you want to honor their lives or whatever the fuck but bro just throw me in a lake, i don't care, i'm dead! why do we have like football fields of corpses that do nothing but take up space?
I agree with Joe’s corn preference 1:31 . Yes for being too cold. I’ve tried the showering in the dark before, it’s nice.
The buff 20 yr olds thing I feel is completely justified. There are some people that have bad self esteem because of their body, me included. It sets an unrealistic expectation for girls and guys. I’ve met girls before that have said their standards are too high because of shows like riverdale or whatever.
Agreed, but casting actual teenagers for some of these roles would be a bad idea, with Riverdale also being an example.
@@iWeir101 you don’t need actual sex scenes in movies. If you had to, you could do something that would “insinuate” them having sex, like in outer banks’ final episode.
