I submitted a few of these commercials, and one of them was the "talk to dead pets with AI" mobile ad you see at the very end. It was genuinely the most loathsome thing I'd ever seen.
Yo, I submitted that one to MadClown also! And yeah, it was genuinely loathsome as fuck to witness in its own accord. Vinny's expansion on it makes it so much worse when you consider the implications it can cause later on down the line in the future.

@@jackcouch8322 Okay, in my defense for the Santa Claus exploding ad, I was only exposed to that ad because of Chadtronic showing viewers like me that ad first in one of his Cursed Commercials videos (specifically the one released last year (2022)). So in that case, the evil is more blamed on him for exposing it to me first and foremost. This literally would have been a case of potential lost media otherwise.
The shit jokes in the Kmart ad are made all the more funny by the fact that my sister found an actual turd in one of the dressing rooms at our hometown's Kmart, about a couple years before it closed it's doors. So yeah, poop really is tied to memories of Kmart.

I don't even know what Old Navy is, but it's definitely one of those ads that stir something in your soul, that hatred and loathing that comes with seeing an ad one too many times. I get the same with Subway ads, more specifically the ones on SoundCloud. One of them just blared an alarm in my ears no warning which scared the hell out of me :(

BTW, their scroll ball mouse is abyssmal. It's hard to scroll in a single direction because it does both horizontal and vertical, and it also feels terrible.

The Sprite Cranberry commercial is not only a nice homage to Rankin Bass, but it also becomes a meme at its peak since 2018 (the same year Big Chungus was introduced).
More culturally significant than Big Chungus, if we're honest here.
The reason why the commercial at 34:07 skipped is because it was advertising a contest; first-run Pokemon episode showings in Japan usually advertise some sort of weekly drawing for a piece of merch, but during events like Summer, season premieres or Christmas/New Years there are often more prizes available.
That doesnt really explain the skip to me - why not keep it for the segment?

I've been watching this since the second segment, but always was a longtime Binyot fan. This for some reason was what made go from a casual viewer to not missing an upload. It's just comfy, relaxing and always a source of good lulz. ESPECIALLY when he get mad at Sparta Remixes.
A little bit of ancient videogame history trivia, at 35:17 for a moment you can see a screenshot of Habitat (the one where you see two characters standing and speaking), developed by Lucasfilm Games in 1986, one of the first MMO's ever made.
MadClown taking the wheel was the best thing to happen to this segment. Chat can be really polarized on whatever gets featured, but it's still nice to tune in together and subject ourselves to our monthly dose of Commercial Chaos. Happy Holidays, chat ❤

1:34:13 I lit up when this commercial started. I live in St. Louis, Missouri, and the Old Man Winter promo was an early 90s classic on my local NBC station, KSDK. They even brought it back the past year or two!
I was so caught up in nostalgia that I didn't even really notice the video footage was completely unfamiliar to me, and the jingle finishing with "Happy Holidays from Fox 10" instead of "Happy Holidays from Channel 5" hit me like a ton of fucking bricks. Learning that this wasn't exclusive to a news channel in my area has completely shattered my worldview. It's like finding out Santa Claus isn't real all over again... I don't know if I'll ever be able to recover.

There's a couple reasons why the Nightmare Before Christmas game looks like a DMC game: Capcom made it, and it ran on the same engine.
Seeing the computer commercial and how simple they were feels like playing bioshock and finding the old plasmid adds before it all went down.
I am AMAZED that popee the entertainer is in these ads now, and it's proof that jabroni mike is having a definite (negative) effect on the internet

Back at it again with my Commercial Chaos bullshit! Explanations, fun facts, and whatever else is on my mind is up with the commercials I submitted here for this month. Believe me, I got a lot of them on board for this month...
With the first ad I submitted at 10:13, I mainly submitted it for the purpose of having an NBA based ad to share here more than anything else. The fact that it was Adam Sandler based was a bonus and Eight Crazy Nights based was just icing on the cake by comparison. However, none of that footage shown was found in the movie; it was all just for the advertisement. The old man's thing (Whitey is his name) was seizures instead of being fat with eating a bunch of hot dogs. So him exploding in the end was put in there just because they wanted to. Also, Vinny's comment on him having a man pussy before exploding was fucking wild. Make of that information as what you will...
Next up is the Mariah Carey Walkers Crisps (which are just the British version of Lay's chips) ad at around 12:48 or so. I don't know why the fuck this ad was shot in mono instead of stereo or even in surround sound, especially since the link I found the commercial from was on Walkers' official TH-cam channel. Anyways, this was a part of a bigger compilation of ads that were found in a bigger pile from a website linked from TV Tropes in their So Bad, It's Good page for advertisements. Rewatching the ad on its own again, I remembered why the note was there the entire time: because the instrumental was there pretty much the entire time. Thanks for the help, MadClown!
For the first time ever, the next ad afterward was another ad submission of mine! The Ozzy Osbourne and the Osbourne/Osmond family commercial for Pepsi Twist came from a random perusing I did for old ads I thought would be good to share, and I somehow stumbled upon my way onto this ad right there. One fun fact I had in mind is when he said that "You're a bunch of bloody magicians" line, I thought he was going to say twists instead as a bit of fun wordplay. Also, when he yells out Sharon's name, I sometimes think he sounds like he's going to say shut up instead. Sadly, the original video I found it on was gone, but I'm thankful MadClown found an alternative upload on TH-cam. So once again, thanks for the help there, MadClown.
This next ad at around 17:06 or so wasn't exactly an ad of mine, but I did help encourage JusticeWellerColde into submitting it for MadClown, with him approving it! You see, he found this ad from a video called "KCAL TV Prime 9 News at Ten Los Angeles July 11, 1991" and it was unfortunately (or fortunately?) the only copy around online. Basically, the recording got corrupted around a certain point there. I told him to go for it since it's better to go for broken visuals than broken audio, MadClown loved it and told me a fun fact about it being a while since a direct rip was around like that for Commercial Chaos, and the rest is history. Justice also told me no one caught Jack Nicholson in a top hat during that commercial also, but to be fair, not even I noticed that until he told me about it!
After another Ozzy Osbourne ad, I also submitted the LeBron James Sprite Cranberry ad at 18:35. Honestly, this one didn't need much explanation: classic for the meme. I enjoy Sprite (though not cranberry), LeBron was most enjoyable in his time with Cleveland, and I think the autotune singer was T-Pain? Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.
Well, after that long wait, the next ad I submitted properly was at 1:04:38. This ad was something I found by random chance at the end after starting with advertisements with basketball players, believe it or not. I have no idea what world that kind of "dinosaur" would exist under. However, the Christmas half was why I felt it'd be perfect to put in for December.
The next one after that was at 1:07:41 and it unfortunately was the version with the more goofy sounding dub instead. Honestly, I'm not going to lie, I thought Vinny was going to hate that one considering even as a pizza guy myself, I wouldn't really want that one myself. And keep in mind I normally do like Dairy Queen myself. That being said, one slice wouldn't be the worst idea in the world, provided others shared in the experience as well. Otherwise, it'd just be a waste of the rest. Also, the main reason why I chose this ad was because the ending jingle "Hot eats, cool treats, we treat you right" was something I remember so fondly despite it only appearing for a short while in my life, and I really wanted to hear it again!
Funnily enough, for the second time in this video, the next ad afterward is another ad submission of mine! This honestly came up by accident after trying to help MadClown out with something. It was a surprise even to me since I didn't even watch this clip before the livestream myself!
Oh boy, the one at 1:16:32 or so is quite the doozy nowadays, huh? I mean, I was wondering if it was going to be played as it was, but the edit MadClown did was quite funny in its own right. :P Seriously, though, it's clearly obvious that his diss toward Jared Fogle would still be relevant nowadays as it was back then. Shit, it's better timed nowadays by comparison, for obvious reasons! Maybe Peter Griffin should be Subway's new mascot going forward?
So 1:20:31 is the thing that was related to what I was talking about earlier on with helping MadClown out. Not so much that ad specifically, though it did relate in general, but you get the gist. You also don't need much explanation here.
The next two ads at hand were also my submissions, and they're both Simpsons based! The T.G.I. Friday's food here looks so obviously fake here by comparison for this ad. Hard to believe this felt like it was before they went for microwaveable food, huh? As for the KFC ad, Canada was quite lucky to have that deal.
Yes! I was hoping this would show up! 1:25:35 was my most hyped moment of them all! I was waiting since fucking August for this moment! Both Vinny and chat were none the wiser on this one, which made this one so much more glorious to me! >:D Anyways, the only reason why I knew of this ad was because it was featured on Chadtronic's own Cursed Commercials Holiday Special video last year. However, Chadtronic cut out the last part of it, hence why I thought it should be shared here instead. Fun fact, this ad was animated by one Richard Williams. I also found the ad in a compilation video of sorts, meaning JusticeWellerColde also helped out with the editing there. So thank him for the memories and subsequent juxtaposition also. (And yet, it's still wild that it was only in the Top 3 for most disturbing local ads in that section.)
The next ad I submitted at around 1:34:13 is also a hyped moment for me for a different reason as a local to Arizona. The song that Fox 10 plays (which is called "Christmas Time Again" by Jolly Demis from an obscure Christmas album called Merry Arizona or Merry Arizona Christmas) is a fucking classic that honestly deserves to be heard by more people beyond those of us lucky to be living in Arizona. I was just lucky to find an ad with the song that felt like it'd work well enough with the Vinesauce spirit to make it work! :) Though I have no idea where the idea of Kari Lake being involved with this commercial came from.
Normally, I would say that would be that for me, but sadly, I did most of the mobile phone/gaming ads this time around! Yep, from around 1:52:43 until I think 1:56:55, then the ad at 1:58:23, followed by the ad from around 1:59:41 until about 2:01:22, then the ad from about 2:02:06 or so before the final two ads of the mobile phone/gaming segment. I might as well say that I got my rips from Reddit in a place that tears apart these shitty ads to shreds themselves, though I first found that place years ago on TV Tropes back when a horrible ad involving Etika's death (R.I.P.) was used for exploitative purposes. Many of those ads are still as skunty as ever before. It's just a weird feeling to have many of my ads I found be involved this time around.

Not so fun fact in regard to 1:50:50 - Don't use laser pointers to play with your cats. It doesn't actually stimulate their predator drive, as they need a reward to grab physically onto, their 'prey'. All it does is piss them off. Is it an easy way to get them to move around? Sure! But that doesn't mean it's fun for them. Use a ribbon and maybe get off the couch to play with your cat... they'll thank you!
