Amazing series of videos on this project! Absolutely love it and really appreciate documenting so much, very hard to find information condensed, thank you so much!
@@cheapthrillsgarageHey if you don't mind me asking could you tell me that if idle is still high or low after all the other adjustments how do you raise or lower the idle speed. I was told that you adjust the idle by the black cigar looking piece under flywheel. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
@@darrellhobbs1898 Yep you’re correct, adjusting that is changing the timing which control the idle speed. Idle quality is changed by the idle fuel screws in the carbs.
7 seconds no water/ water pump compromised all carb models and on the lean side idle screws on carb need 1/4 turn out if sneezing it’s too lean check all bleed hoses
You shouldn’t NEVER turn over or start your motor without the motor being in water or earmuffs and water running to it! There is a tremendous amount of heat buildup from the motor right off the bat from turning the motor over and trying to start it!! Hence, outboards are a WATER cooled motor!! Means having water running to the motor before turning over or starting!!! Just saying!!!
