    I’m no plumber but I think this is so the water and sediments in the bottom of the tank get recirculated better because the outgoing is in the top of the tank. This is Why tanks always get sediment build up if u don’t have these. I’m guessing.

      A recirc pump constantly cycles the hot water so you have almost instant hot water at everyfixture

  • @AgustinBernardo
    @AgustinBernardo ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Oh the same work of the "expansion tank", thanks for the advice btw. Although now my question is, why would you use a water recirculation pump? To have hot water in the moment you open a water tap?

    Hey I’m in the HVAC field 2nd year into working in the actual field… never seen a pump on a water heater like this even. I’ve seen it when theirs multiple zones but not like this definitely never on the things drain but I’m also out here in Boston, MA, and everywhere’s different. just curious what situation calls for this being added and would love to hear it from the installer 😊 (no sarcasm I’m truly interested lol)

    Cercirculation pump? My 40 gal NG water heater doesn't have any fancy crap like that. The only update when I replace it with a new one soon will be to add a sediment trap (easy) because that's code now here in TX. If more people would become DIYers they would save so much money. Plumbers charge an arm and a leg.

    Errrrrr wrong, return line always needs to be tied in to the cold feed. 1 Ball valve , 2 check valve, 3 expansion tank , 4 return line , then Tank. That bottom port should only be use to flush out tank when descaling.
