Love seeing Shawn Michaels here. I meet him at WWF New York in 2002, when he came out in the wheelchair for the match with Triple H. I was the guy in a red shirt holding this big ass frame of one of his playgirl photos, the one where he is sitting in jeans with one leg up and look at the camera make those HBK faces he makes lol. And when I saw the playback, I noticed they blurred out the photo and really never knew why until I saw, what WWE wants you to forget, and that’s that he posed for play girl. He looked at it twice but kept in with his promo. He then later on did a signing and I was able to meet him, and wrote a biblical verse under his signature. The girl friend I was with cried when we met him and he said, “I hope those are tears of joy.” I know he had this issues but I truly love this dude for every piece of entertainment he gave us. Julian Edelman as one of my favorite receivers of all time, who played my all time favorite QB Tom Brady, thank you for this.
Came from WMBD with Julian as guest. Just want to say, this podcast was so much better with Morril. He adds the fan view and also the comedic breaks. I miss this version.
Absolutely you got to score this one high because not only was it the first Iron Man match in WWE at Wrestlemania you have two pioneers of their time when wrestlers we're not High Flyers both of these guys put on a show for the ages on the grandest stage of the all Main Eventing WrestleMania for the Title. Also Shawn Michaels was the first ladder match in WWE history again showing off how talented he was. In the ladder match he defended his Intercontinental Championship successfully accounts Razor Ramon. Also Shawn Michaels was the first to participate in Hell in a Cell against Taker. Shawn is one of the greatest to ever do it and a true pioneer of what we see today. But you definitely have to put it into perspective when watching these matches because they were the first compared to today where it is commonplace. Sometimes over done
Shout out to Sam And Julian. This is great podcast and I'm late to the party.. why didn't you ever promo this one.. still love you bro.. now that Julian is retired seeing the nonfootball side of him is great. He has the Rizz as the kids say
Basically everyone watching this think these two guys are like gayish . There is something about them you just don't like. Notice the beard guy with jeans on the way he crosses his legs .
Here are some game ideas....Spurs over Heat 2014 finals ending the big 3 Ray Allen's corner 3 in the finals (or Ray Allen '96 Big East championship vs. Iverson/Georgetown) Andrew Luck 2014 playoff comeback against the Chiefs That bowler who said "who do you think you are, I am"
lol Julian talking about getting suspended for doing the dx suck it gesture. I know we ask got a story about it. My favorite story was when the suck it gesture was well old by time I got to high school in 06 and we had a school assistant in a wheelchair and he would help Native kids like myself out and get us to understand and focus on work. So I see him rolling down hallway kinda far and I hell my homie imma get Scott and I do the suck it 🙅🏽🙅🏽 all fast to sorta see if he understood the reference so I can see his reaction. He keeps rollin towards us and does it back but it looked so much smoother then mine.
What a legend and a stand up human being first match I could remember watching was a Monday Night Raw (think this was 1995) when Owen Hart kicked him in the back of the head and Shawn had an "concussion" man my ass cried my eyes out.. From that point on, I was hooked to WWF.
Never seen aJulian Edelman podcast but with Shawn Michaels I have too. Also Julian Edelman (underrated receiver) I'm interested to see who else you get one
HBK has been my hero since 1995 and he will always be my favorite. Im pretty smart to the tricks of the trade but I had never heard they had a number system
Lol I think Bret brought it up in their interview with JR. I believe Shawn said he didn’t remember but it’s obvious that he said it. However some people pointed out that it looked like he intended it to be for Jose and that the referee misunderstood and thought it was for Bret. You can see him glancing at Jose as he entered the ring while he says it. The referee then looked at Jose and hesitated before going to Bret instead. It looked like he was confused on who the message was for. He also went to tell the referee the same thing again just after the ref told Bret that. Unless he wanted them both out.
Talking about rebooking it....I think it'd be awesome to have the only fall be a quick roll up or small package like 1 minute in and that be the final score.
I follow you from Spain. Here we loved Triple H jeff Hardy, Batista. Even there was a rumour that said Undertaker and Kane were brothers from Spain, I don´t konw how it started. BTW Edelman is a crack, funny guy hehe. It woud be huge a program with Gasol brothers about the all star they played together.
Stone Cold started the attitude era. Bret is the one who made Stone Cold. The I quit/submission match. Austin passes out bloody in the sharp shooter. Hart and Austins rivalry started the attitude era.
Shit stone cold started the attitude Era at King Of The Ring when Austin 3:16 was born. You had Austin an Brets fued but you got to remember with DX when it was just Shawn hunter an Chyna they brought the really edgy stuff to tv.
One time in 96’ i was pretending to dance to Sexy Boy in my mirror at home…when i felt the most unbelievable dope SLAP across the back of my head 😅 It was my older bro who caught me and thought it was a little too girly 😂😂😂.
Remember when Shawn threw Marty Jannetty through the glass in Brutus The Barber Beefcakes shop on WWF Superstar lol little did we know that one was going to be a Superstar and legend and Marty become irrelevant
Wrestlemania 12 was literally on the day I was born and the pond (Honda center) is like 20 minutes from the hospital I was born at lol… doesn’t really mean shit but I always kind of thought that was cool haha
The "gameplay" (workrate) was 11 out of 10. The stakes and name werent that high. The talent is unmatched in my opinion. Doesnt get much better than bret and shawn for 60 minutes.
i don't understand the big deal about the iron man match concept. i mean, not that i don't respect it, but bret was having those iron man matches throughout the 90's with flair, owen, and curt henning. maybe it was b/c he was older by the time he did it with shawn?
Bret was definitely going 30 maybe even 45 mins but in the WWF they didn't do 60 mins. The NWA days the champion would usually go do an hour because they still had time limits and world title matches were 60 minute time limits and it was a way to have a draw so neither guy lost any momentum
Mad respect to wrestlers in this era , honestly i didnt like shawn micheals back in the day mostly cuz of his music. Being older now i like you now shaun M.
Gotta love two guys who don't know what the hell they're talking about, talking about it anyway. Shawn wasn't a heel here, Bret was a 3 time Champion going into this, and he and Shawn didn't hate each other yet (that came later). Please do some better research.
So I love Julz, Bostonian, YES, guilty. He's training like an amateur or novice would. 3-3min rounds, usually is what an amateur fight consists of. Ton of respect, tho I don't think he needs anymore head shots.
Good job. Edelman was an all time wide receiver. 3 rings and no HOF??? Ok. I have only seen two others near as good in the slot: Wes Welker and Antonio Brown. I would take Edelman
I love Edelman too... but we forget what Welker did and was... he created the slot receiver..... we never heard the slot till wes..... go look back at dudes stats 112,111,123,86,122,118 then Tom took a pay cut to keep his guy and bill let him go to denver!!!! That's how edleman was created.... cause bill saw a cheaper guy that would take the hits to be Tom's friend lol..... if they resign Wes for 3 years he has another 300 catches and we don't get to see what Julien could become
If i was blindfolded I would have guessed HBKs voice for Stone Colds, regardless was a fan of the rockers then and still am today!! That sweet sweet chin music for me was the best finisher. In moto boots to boot lol. Marty's name is fun to say out loud, lol. Marty Jannetty!!
I think the better match was the wrestlemania match between Ricky steamboat in macho man Randy savage. Think both competed and I thought macho man has a advantage with lady Elizabeth being in his corner but Ricky steamboat prevailed in the end. I think if you have 10 matches macho man may win 78 and just at night Ricky steamboat prevails
How is Edelman the comedic relief? Sam is like an Acquired pallet. Stepped on hosts toes during the interview. And picked a QB as first pick in the draft??? Malo malo malo.
As a kid HBK was my favorite. My question has always been, what was HBKs gimmick supposed to be exactly?? I think he was supposed to be a male prostitute...
Hell HBK got his lazy eye from a match with kane. I had my back fused in the same place he was injured I believe he got fusion too. I know how much pain im in and I don't know how he came back and I can't believe he wrestled at mania 14. I have never experienced such pain. My 2 discs got smashed when i got run over by a car. I was crying because of the pain for 48 hours straight. I also woke up in the middle of back surgery and that was horrible. What he did after that injury will forever have me questioning if he's not a cyborg
Hbk had to be on steroids to get that shape , especially if he wasn't really into working out that much or know much ..I just wish he said what he took
lol there are plenty of folks on roids that have horrible physique's. Many of his friends claim his genetics are wild to which he could have been a beast if he tried, dieted and whatnot
Other than Michael Jackson this man right here HBK was my childhood hero and idol growing up, even to this day he's still my hero😂😂💔
Do you think michael Jackson did any of the pedo stuff?
Lol both named Michael
Same with both. Glad I got to see MJ in concert, and HBK live in action.
@@NK-wy8wp you’re very fortunate
@@NK-wy8wp so lucky dude
HBK is a legend! So happy to see him with these guys!
My favorite guest so far 👏🏻
My favorite wrestler and football player, can’t get any better than this!
My sentiments exactly

Bret Hart guy here.. shawn has an incredible mind for the business and it shows beautifully here
Love you Shawn 💗🧸
HBK forever 💪
Shawn FN Michaels! HBK!!! Living legend Beyond Forever 💔💔💔💔
Came from WMBD with Julian as guest. Just want to say, this podcast was so much better with Morril. He adds the fan view and also the comedic breaks. I miss this version.
Born in 91 yall! Oohhh, I grew up watching wrestling in the mid and late 90s, loved this ep!
HBK really the 🐐
If by HBK you mean Bret Hart then I agree😁
Great episode boys
HBK is my all time favorite wrestler. Love that man for the wrestler and the human that he is.
I LOVE to see Sam talk wrestling.

Actually the very first ladder match in WWE was Bret vs Shawn when Bret pitched the idea of a ladder match to Vince!
Shout out to Sam And Julian. This is great podcast and I'm late to the party.. why didn't you ever promo this one.. still love you bro.. now that Julian is retired seeing the nonfootball side of him is great. He has the Rizz as the kids say
Bret and Shawn had such amazing chemistry even survivor series 97 was a great match until the screw job. People forget how good the match was.
Besides Shawn vs bret this was the worse WM ever! These guys clearly no nothing about wwf/wcw
It really was..it was amazing..flawless execution, logical attacks, great transitions and ebbs and flows.
How is this podcast not blowing up faster than it is?
Basically everyone watching this think these two guys are like gayish . There is something about them you just don't like. Notice the beard guy with jeans on the way he crosses his legs .
@@trentaccid2177I didnt notice any of that. Maybe you are gay?

Epic episode

I was born in 1987... I have always loved wrestling but it was THE THING in the late 90s and early 2000s.
It’s so wholesome him being so humble now
Back in the day, Raw was 9-11.. it eventually went to 8-11... but even 11 pm was not a dead stop time, sometimes the show would run 5-10 minutes over.
What a legend and a stand up human being first match I could remember watching was a Monday Night Raw (think this was 1995) when Owen Hart kicked him in the back of the head and Shawn had an "concussion" man my ass cried my eyes out.. From that point on, I was hooked to WWF.
Hey Jules, what about Undertaker vs Mankind WWE Hell in the Cell 👍👍
Never seen aJulian Edelman podcast but with Shawn Michaels I have too. Also Julian Edelman (underrated receiver) I'm interested to see who else you get one
I'm not your boy toy...
Sexy boy!
HBK has been my hero since 1995 and he will always be my favorite. Im pretty smart to the tricks of the trade but I had never heard they had a number system
HBK- Living Legend
Unanimous Top 3 wrestler of All Time
You guys forgot to ask Shawn if he told Bret, to leave the ring in not so nice language lol
Love him giving Tully some props ❤
Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels to me are the greatest wrestlers of all time!
Let’s go!!!
A regular match is an episode of friends. This match was a novel on par with The Stand.
Talking about rebooking it....I think it'd be awesome to have the only fall be a quick roll up or small package like 1 minute in and that be the final score.
RIP Woman/Nancy Benoit, Chris killed her in that terrible murder suicide
I follow you from Spain. Here we loved Triple H jeff Hardy, Batista. Even there was a rumour that said Undertaker and Kane were brothers from Spain, I don´t konw how it started. 18:14 “Jesse “The Ventura” Jackson”.
This is single-handedly the best thing I’ve ever heard.
Yoooo. Ever since the Gronk ep i been tapped in to this show. Then I saw The sheriff on. Cool stuff. But now HBk??? Crazy!
This is dope!!
Stone Cold started the attitude era. Bret is the one who made Stone Cold. The I quit/submission match. Austin passes out bloody in the sharp shooter. Hart and Austins rivalry started the attitude era.

I was Hitman guy too. Shawn Micheals back then hes whole character was a male stripper.
The Bodega Cat hat, is hard
Remember when Shawn threw Marty Jannetty through the glass in Brutus The Barber Beefcakes shop on WWF Superstar lol little did we know that one was going to be a Superstar and legend and Marty become irrelevant
Marty threw himself through that window. Heenan called it! Lol.
John cena and Shawn’s iron man match was the greatest wrestling match I’ve ever seen
It went close to an hour but it wasn't an official ironman match. Great nonetheless 🎉
Jules do you remember doctor x, pepper Gomez, Vern Gagne, black Jack Lanza, going way back in high school.
Shawn and Bret were pretty close to the time period. Now mindset yes very different.
Wrestlemania 12 was literally on the day I was born and the pond (Honda center) is like 20 minutes from the hospital I was born at lol… doesn’t really mean shit but I always kind of thought that was cool haha
I appreciate the research but you guys could’ve done a lot better. But I guess I’m gonna be harsh about this match considering I’m a wrestling fan.
Hate to be that guy but their facts are all distorted here. Good show but you can tell these guys aren't long term wrestling fans.
I didn't want to say anything either because I enjoyed this interview, but their facts are totally off.
The "gameplay" (workrate) was 11 out of 10. The stakes and name werent that high. The talent is unmatched in my opinion. Doesnt get much better than bret and shawn for 60 minutes.
These guys have no idea what they’re talking about XD
Seriously…and they even bragged about doing research…🤦♂️

Wow did you guys really just bring up Woman? Are you not aware her name was Nancy Benoit? Or, you know, her awful fate?
I had the same pillows
Die hard fans respect this match , but it’s no one’s favorite. Prob not even in Shawn’s top 10
It was deff my favorite match
Oh wow! Cool! Edelman’s winning me over here.

I love Julien Edelman
How is Edelman the comedic relief? Sam is like an Acquired pallet. Stepped on hosts toes during the interview. And picked a QB as first pick in the draft??? Malo malo malo.

No one look up Benoit and his manager “women” Just don’t.
Stop interrupting the Legend...let him speak!

His eye is much better with glasses
Setting up angle with pat for mania? I'm down with that

Shawn “you know” Michaels
🐐
Shawn michaels is proof all those good looks fade away with age. He was a stud back in the late 90s
How could you not mention Joel Embiid during the ( suck it ) talk?
Damn, Julz doesn't know much. That HHH/helwig match was a squash. It's Iron Man Match, not iron match.
Is there a reason the guy with the jeans keeps like playing with himself. It's like strange it aggravates the watcher I turned it off.
Who else cringed when they called nxt next 😭
Me. You can tell they didn’t do some research, but it was still a good interview.
The hitman was the better man and 2 times the wrestler shawn m. was....bret is one of my top best wrestler of all time
What’s the cartoon over Shawn’s shoulder ???
Jesse “The Ventura” Jackson

Its so hard watchin 2 guys who really dont know anything about wrestling have a certified legend on their pod
Josh allen going to be the reason I win this week 😂😂😂😂
What happened to the show???
