hey merrick I did the led upgrade about two months ago on my 88 Jimmy basically a k5. But I purchased crystal clear regular glass headlights with the little reflector shield inside. It's also had the new aluminum housing which allows you to twist the bulb out the back like modern day headlights. The nice thing was they came with the connector adaptor that plugs into our oem h4 connector and allows you to use a 9007 bulb. The only thing I had to do was switch two of the three wires around on the adaptor so my low beams would stay on when I turned on the highbeams. Did a complete swap and love it next is digital gauges.
Do you have a video on step by step install of the 50 in. Light bar in the grill.?.. I have a small radiator just right behind the grill of my 87 suburban.
Yes they will. I had the competitor's brand (which is the same as what he's using only with a lifetime warranty) and mud not only makes them stop working but also voids the warranty. Remember kids, clean your bulbs BEFORE you send them back ;)
It is an issue. You'll like this though, remember I had them on my H3 Hummer - that means I drove it through a puddle deep enough to immerse the headlights on a rig with 35" tall tires.... sometimes, when I'm not sucking, I rock.
I had another maker's LED bulbs in my H3.... I finally got tired of sending them back for the 'free' replacement.... the issue is heat, same basic design as yours... Of course, with the LED you'll forever be having people irritated at you for high beams when you're on low beam. My solution was more lights, halogens for city/highway driving, LED fogs for country road, and combo light bar and/or dually lights when I needed a bit more light.
I honestly think you'll like them. LED lights tend towards blue and it makes driving at night much more enjoyable since the light you see isn't as harsh. Problem is the people coming at you are driving into the sun. I've been looking at the $800 lights for my square - though I think I'm still in your opinion "that's a lot of money for what?" One thing you may want to consider is some kind of yellow fog light. LED headlights into fog is no fun at all
that's funny that this video came out today. I JUST installed all LED lights behind my brake lenses on my 83 k5 like about an hour before this video came out.
Game Bred Duramax thanks man, I just went out to check, they appear to be working normally but the next time I have a buddy follow me ill be sure to ask them.

Man I thought I was anxious for the next weeks video before. Now I'm walking the floor JM!
Just FYI, you are solely responsible for driving up the price of K5's. Your channel makes us all want to go out and buy one (or two). ;)
I need one of those for my Blazer. Stock headlights suck. Plus the adjusting brackets break in the Arizona heat. Great review.

You should do a subscriber meet up and overlanding/offroading trip at Anza Borrego this summer. It would be great!
Seems like a great trail. Keep up the great work and keep the subscribers posted if your planning a meet up.
Yo bro that light bar in the grille is so sick I've been wanting to do it to mine for months now what size is that one
Go check my amazon store. I put all the stuff in there. Link in description.
Do you not have a support bar that runs down I’m having clearance issues
You think mud/water will effect the fan on the bulb? Might be something to keep an eye on.

a71landcruiser I figured mud would clog the little fan and possibly make them over heat/break.

What your favorite morrissey song
Seasick yet still docked. Or alma maters
I have a 89 burban with the side by side headlights im having a hard time finding headlights...well led headlights.
after going down that path and then just getting some new hella H4 bulbs and housings, I would say just to go that route
Merricks Garage thx...so its better to get the housing and find a led bulb for it? Cause i bin looking left and right cant find the one for this truck
I would skip the LED's and just get a Hella H4 setup. Go check my amazon store, I believe I have a bunch of options in there
Merricks Garage ok thx

Game Bred Duramax sounds like you need an led flasher fuse. It fixes the hyper flash issue trust me.
