My ownership of mk1 Audi TT Coupes stretches back to 1999, having seen a sneak 'preview' at a dealer launch in Germany in 1998 and then owning 4 since, one might say I have a 'soft spot' for the TT and so it was without hesitation that I personally purchased this TT in 2021, the car having come from small private collection. Having just under 57k miles at the time of purchase, now showing a smidge under 64k miles the TT was in wonderful condition on viewing. A tour around the car now shows the bodywork remains in stunning condition, the Lake Silver paintwork has a wonderful shine, all lenses remain bright, clear and scratch free and save for a few tiny / imperceptible marks, this 2002 mk1 Audi TT, I feel is a great representation of the marque. Always a fan of the 17" Competition Alloys, a £1000 option when new as a result of being forged and therefore light-weight, I had the wheels refurbished; powder-coated and diamond cut to original specification and these are fitted with a matched set of Pirelli tyres (5mm tread).
With her lovely low mileage the interior remains in fantastic condition too, the Black Nappa leather seats are in super condition and remain supremely comfortable and the retro styling, akin to the original concept, still remains a special place to be. The eagle-eyed will have spotted she also comes with the original Audi 'Cup-holders', original mats and rubber overmats and on reviewing the boot area you'll even find an original 'Audi' carry case for carrying a litre of oil.....I've never needed to open it!
Out on the open road, the 1.8 litre 20 valve Turbo engine, offering 225 bhp pulls strongly through the six speed manual gearbox and importantly for me, a purest, the car is devoid of any remaps, aftermarket exhausts, suspension tweaks....she's just as Audi intended. The car comes with her full Audi book pack, 2 keys plus the spare plastic key, MOT history and a fabulous service history record with no fewer than 13 stamps including Pdi, 10k, 13k, 19k, 22k, 25k, 33k, 40k, 44k, 49k, 53k (Belts, Waterpump, Haldex @£1300), 56k, 58k miles and ahead of sale she'll be serviced again, noting that the front discs / pads will be changed and that I have also had the headlight professional polished back to crystal clear, she'll also come with a Cover-zone Monsoon car! NB Cherished plate retained and car reverting to '02 registration
