It was such a funny day, especially when we found the ridiculously slippy off piste trail at the end. I cut about five minutes of hysterical laughter out because it was just getting silly 😂. We all agreed that it would be awesome in the dry but dry it most certainly wasn't!
That set of lines in the woods are super nice with lower switchbacks depending which way you go. Definitely a dry ride kind of place if you haven’t been back.
Ha ha....what a great day you guys had ....brilliant watch ...I did laugh at “the bog “ bit . Fair play for you giving that section a go where you had the off....that could have been a far worse outcome ! . The slick forest section was well funny ..... A great day had by all 👍
This is what I think of when someone talks about brittish mountainbiking. Total mud carnage, steep slippery flow trails, and rocky gnar on the top of the hill. Lovely.
Brilliant video mate, I was proper laughing watching that :D Looked like great fun & I can honestly say you wouldnt catch me riding any off that unless it'd stayed dry for at least 70 months. I'm not keen on slippy rocks but i'll usually give them a go, roots on the other hand......Not a chance!!
Thanks Steve. It was definitely challenging, especially the last trail, but I do kind of enjoy riding in muddy, slippery conditions. It just takes a few rides to get used to and then come Spring, dry trails feel weird and take some getting used to.... Give me dry trails over wet any time though; I’m not totally stupid 😂👍
Cheers mate and yeah, this one was definitely epic. I bet these guys will be glad of the lockdown as it’s a break for them from me taking them down silly things 👍😀
Top marks for attempting Parkin Clough👏 I've been down it probably 8-10 times and never got anywhere near clearing it in the dry and don't think I would have had the balls to try the sections you did. Quite a bit more stuff in the woods if you know where to look.
Thanks Martin, it’s definitely a challenging trail and one of these days, when it’s a lot drier, I would love to give it another go. We would have loved to have ridden other stuff in the woods but unfortunately we ran out of time.
See the peaks aren't too shabby 😜 This was as funny as I was expecting. It actually made me feel better about my effort the other week if you lot were struggling too. My ride was all on the same hill but as we said I took the far left track that you started but then you turned right down to where everyone was slipping off. I kept left. I reckon it's all ridiculous in the wet. It was similar to when I went. Just fab mate! So disappointed to miss it. Also fair play for having a go at parkin clough but it's a no from me 😂😂😂
Thanks mate. It was just daft trying to find traction on that last descent; you turned your bars and the bike just went where it wanted to, you just hoped that it wanted to go the same way you did. As for Parkin Clough, not sure I will be giving it another go 😃
@@Stopadoodledoo yes that was my feeling. Though the top section, I did, seemed to have a grippier surface at the top... Lower down nah! Parkin clough..... Very wise 👍
What a day this looked, never seen anything like it! The clip where you are sliding down the hill was worried you were going to plop off the edge 😳🤣 Cracking video and looked like you all had such a laugh 😁 great riding by all.
It was fantastic mate, such a shame you were locked in your house waiting for a cold that never arrived (although obviously it's good that you didn't get the illness). If you were worried I would fall off the edge, imagine how I felt 😂
@@Stopadoodledoo yep, darn self isolation grrr. Yeh you just seem to keep sliding and thought you really were going over edge! Part of me with recent riding is probably glad as well I never came 🤣
You mean you didn't watch my video from that same hill a few weeks ago? . ... 😱 In fairness I was riding solo so laughing like that wasn't my reaction it was more oh I'm going to be needing mountain rescue. 😂
@@Stopadoodledoo I pushed up it a few weeks ago to check it after watching Blowers vid years ago. Makes you realise just how talented he is. Thankfully I got a much drier day than you boys!
I did actually walk up it with Blower, Shag and a few others a couple of years after his video came out, in similar conditions to last week. Nobody was interested in giving it a go 😂
@@davesbikelife Yeah, we got lucky that day but you could tell it had rained a lot in the days preceding it by the state of the trails in the woods, and Parkin Clough has that section which is more techy than any DH track I've ridden (and that includes Champery) 👍😃
Been riding for years mate, long before wife and child came along and back then, I was able to go away with the lads on holidays to the Alps, etc., every year. Can't really get away for a full week or two nowadays but I guess I am lucky that I can get to some pretty spectacular places to ride most weekends 👍
What a belter video . No wonder TheGib loves it . That track at 13:00 🕐 was insane . Imagine that place when its dry

I was about to say ‘I bet you wish you had made it now’ but I’m guessing after watching what we tried to ride, you’re glad you didn’t 😂

Spot on mate, that’s exactly how I feel. A million miles from trail centre trails 👍
That was hilarious to watch, all the epic fails were so funny. Great commentary.
Thanks mate, this was one of those days where your face ends up hurting from laughing so much 👍
My favourite Place to ride so many different roots to choose from! Definitely keeps you on your toes up around there, great clips 🤟
Thanks mate and yeah, it's some place to ride 👍
Very good video
Thanks mate, really appreciate that 👍
Enjoyed watching that and looked a cracking ride all round
Thanks mate, it was yet another cracking ride 👍
What a fantastic ride this was, never stopped laughing all day, even when i got home haha, brilliant video jason, loved it 😊👍
Cheers mate, such a fun day and followed a week later by another fun one 👍😃
Had me in stitches with this one.
Top stuff. XD

Its the main drag up to Win Hill for the walkers so to get a run when there are no walkers on it is almost unknown
