Microsoft CEO believes AI is tangibly changing economic productivity, whether it's for software development, frontline work in retail and healthcare, or its access to citizens. 100% job cuts will be there but no CEO would agree with that.. Rather they say it's a job shift than a job loss... But as far as India is concerned nearly 2.5 lakh people are coming out of colleges every year.. It's a big challenge to provide a job for every engineer who's coming out of colleges... It's a high pressure life for a normal average students
Mass looting will happen because the unemployed guys will band together to form groups and will loot pillage stuff from those who have.

This is what sets Microsoft apart from all other tech companies. the CEO goes down to the market and is extremely hands-on. He doesn't just sit at his throne at HQ and then demands revenue from each region. HE responds rapidly to market trends and sensitive towards the market projections
AI should automate CEOs job first. Then we will see how useful AI is to the world!! 😆😆😆😆

Automations has become a basic component in software engineering. But the issue is , there was always something more to automate.
This is not the case in 2023 or 2024. Everyday I find new issues with this broken market. The hiring process needs to change and change for good.
This is what happens
- Loss of jobs
- less expertise needed for previously high paid jobs
- low wages for previously high paid jobs as there will be more people (because there is less learning curve )

Great insights, as someone working in AI Automation, AI will take clerical lift and shift monotonous part of the work only, just like early industrial machines did, but hight time Govts worked with top leaders to device policy to save jobs where incremental productivity is balanced with social stability

That's because they've over hired at high salaries during the pandemic and now they can rehire at vastly lower salary

learning AI is not so easy, even for people having IT and mathematics background will have trouble scaling on this technology. Is he expecting store front people and admin jobs will able to train them selves on AI, its a joke.
You don't have to learn Generative AI. It will work transparently. How many have to learn how to use Co-Pilot? Today a class 5 student uses it.
I disagree with satya. He is talking on behalf of white color jobs but what about blue color jobs. AI will take over all driving, flying,delivering, food preparing , marketing , basically 95 percent of our jobs. Human will have to find new purposes for living in life.
