Love this, you doing the lords work :). It's always fun riding the bike and hitting record but the real work is done on the editing floor to turn footage into a video that people actually want to watch.
My wife is a professional wildlife photographer, so I'm well versed in how much time is spent in the editing room. Your videos are always well shot and well edited, but most people don't know how much time you spend making them look as good as they do. Well done!
Great video! In the example video, how far extended was the selfie stick from your seat post? Was it just to the end of your rear tire or some other distance?
Another amazing video Luis! I ride in an area with a lot of wildlife and when I missed so many photo ops so I decided to get this camera so I won't miss anymore of those coyotes, roadrunners or whatever!!! Thanks for all the great tips!!!
Good vid. X3 User here. My experiance is that the attachment points will fail. I had my x3 hit the deck twice, both times the lens were saved by the clear lens guards. 1st time the moto mount failed, the thread end snapped, 2nd time the threads on the selfie stick wore out. Keep an eye on attachment point wear. Out front won't work with aero bars either. Otherwise i enjoy the x3.
Hey that's me in the Major Taylor Alabama Kit TC 8:37 .....I have a instant 360 camera also. I'm digging the handle bar mount going to have to pick that mount up
The way you used the insta360 mount caught my attention...I usually use it upside down compared to you and attach my bike computer on top of it, which I hate. I'm going to try your way and see if it works better for me! Also, I used that mount on my mountain bike (bad idea) and all of the bouncing caused the carbon rod to strip and break on the end that attaches to the mount. I was able to super glue it back together but it would be nice if Insta sold those rods separately. I probably should've noticed that they recommend NOT using it on a mountain bike. 🙂 Thanks for the video!
OMG THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.....here I have been a lil scared to play with the desktop app and of course my Hero comes in to save the day with an excellent video thanks again brother!!!
I have a 360 insta camera also that have been using. But when i switched to integrated handle bar i cannot use the 3rd person mount. What brand is that motorcyvle mount naybe i could try that thanks for video
I have an aerroad so that’s basically a carbon handlebar that is flat. I worry that if I over torque I might break my handlebars. Same with my seat post. It’s carbon and flat. What do you recommend?
cool video thanks for the info. do you use the lens guards? For aero bars: NR GO ActionCam Aero Mount. I attach my GoPro to the head tube to to avoid the Turning of the handlebars.
With your PC at home is your ram 16g as I have just bought an insta x4 and the insta website to use the desktop software the minimum requirement is 16g
Excellent video, I’m hoping to upgrade my Garmin 360 to Insta 360 x4 soon so I can jump up the resolution. 11:56 The X3 taps out at 120 bitrate so no need to go higher than that. Should save a bit of filesize too
AMAZING COULD I UNDERSTAND ALL THIS HAHA NO but my Great grand Daughter age 6 years would show me how to do it i just love all these gadgets even if i never have them thank you for showing the magic of film making Luis Keep safe Sir love the video.
When you started using the 360 camera I thought you had some sort of remote to change where your focus was being set. Cool to see how you get the whole 360 angle to pick and choose from while you are editing the film.
Very cool sir! I use the X3 myself and overall, I’m happy with it. One thing I am waiting for is Garmin data overlay support to be added to the desktop app. Currently it’s only available on the mobile app ☹️ If you have some influence with the Insta360 company, please put in a good word for this 🙏🏽🙂 Keep up the good work!
Oohhhhhhh wow! I’ve always wondered about this. I’m like, “I don’t see a stick in the shots and how is it able to spin around during the ride?”😂😂 Nice work Louis, always enjoying the videos brother.
Insta360 is on my short list and when you shared footage of the group ride, I was so again about to get one. Got brake pads and rotors for the minivan instead lol. How do you balance the initial cost vs overall fragility of the unit? Fragility as in single incident lens cover damage. I didn't note a protective kit which the reviews suggest impedes the quality of footage capture. Awesome content!!
Great video. Unfortunately, the front mount won't work for me because I have Most one-piece aerobars. I think there is a mount that will fit both my Garmin and this device. Looking forward to pulling the trigger. Not a money thing. I just don't want to be one of those people that constantly take selfies. This is different. Mini movie

Thanks Chris! I appreciate all your help as well👍🏾

Great editing bro
Hi Luis. Most impressive editing, you make it look very easy. But the results are amazing...
Thank you. The program is very user friendly 👍🏾
Thank you for a peek behind the scenes. I have been wondering how you made your great videos.
Thanks for watching 👍🏾
As per the other people here this video is informative as I am a bike rider also

My pleasure
Awesome video. I am in the market for a good clamp to mount my x3 on my bike and I came across your video. How is the clamp working for you so far?
This is amazing.I often wondered how you filmed these
The technology is amazing!

Hi David! I do not use the lens guards👍🏾

Yeah, the editing is where the magic happens 😂😂
Some more editing tips pleas Luis. Am a 72 year old bicycle rider!
Cool!

Thanks Todd. I just decided to rough it. As you noted, I don't have the lens protectors. I do try to be careful with it though.👍🏾
is that an old restored Bianchi Mega Pro model? Great bike, congrats !
Can you control the speed that the camera auto-pans at? It moves very quickly.
Yes, you can. Just add more key frames as you pan around and it will spin very gradually. Thanks for watching👍🏾
Sub... great info thanks for sharing ...new to cycling
Thank you! Welcome to the party 🥳
Definitively record videos make us feel more motivation
In case anyone was wondering, you can do the same editing from the app on your phone. That way you can get it on your social media even quicker!
Yes you can. Thanks for watching 👍🏾

Thanks for watching. I have seen a few guys rig something up for their aerobars. Good luck with it👍🏾
Chest or helmet mounted action camera might also be a good starting option for recording your rides.
⚔️💪😎🏴👌👍(stroke)
I like to see the black man’s nice body , I love that camera angle ❤❤❤
