- We met Alan in Bethnal Green outside Iceland sitting on the floor with his dog. Alan told us how he became homeless after his girlfriend cheated on him and kicked him out of the house. He told us his toughest day on the streets was when his dog passed away who had been by his side for 17 years. Alans message to every one is to stop and speak to homeless people to know the truth about their situation.

Homelessness is a growing issue for the UK with more than 300,000 people living on the streets. Many of these people don't even make it onto the official figures.
The Unseen is an organisation we set up to give Homeless people a platform to have their stories and their struggles heard. We also want everyday people to have an opportunity to understand what leads a person into being Homeless. We at the The Unseen believe that everybody has a responsibility to help the unfortunate.
We want employers and regular people to support the homeless towards getting back into work and off the streets.
We hope their stories can touch the hearts of many.

Been watching you for sometime and today’s vlog was one of the best this man seems very sincere very truthful and sad he deserves a break I hope he is soon housed he really seems to love company somebody to stop and have a chat with him if you live in the vicinity of we’re this man sits give him a break talk to him it doesn’t hurt to be kind . He has a very caring luck about him the way he nursed his puppy 🐶 was beautiful. He gave up the chance to be housed in a hotel during lock down but chose to stay homeless because of his dog to me that shows loyalty . Please keep us updated on his progress and thank you for sharing once again x

These lovely people, are never bitter, they don't judge, but they hurt like we all do, they are so acceptable for the lives they have, cold, hungry, not being able to wash, I love these beautiful people, they can teach us so much , please don't walk on by, that lovely human sitting on the ground, has such a story to tell all as we have to do, is listen

I feel for this man but the first thing he said was , " I moved in with her" .. He went wrong there. Never move in with anybody unless yall moving in "together". There's a difference between living with someone and living together..

I never knew there are lots of homeless people in UK all of them has different stories, now I know now while I'm watching your videos.
Yes there are more than 300,000 homeless in the UK but they go unnoticed sadly. I'm glad they are given a voice this way.
At least give the guy a break to find a home/apartment to live in. Brutal lessons learned???

If my ex girlfriend didn't want me around i would just say get on with it and just pack one bag with a load of jumpers and transit bottoms and a sleeping bag and sleep behind buildings and go to homeless day centers and keep begging everyday and get on with street life
I am sorry but if that was my dad i would not give him a choice he be living with me!
I like dogs as well, but I think he should prioritise accommodation rather than wait another 6-12 months
