What is a Distinguished Veterans pass?
The California Distinguished Veteran Pass is a free lifetime pass offered to qualified California resident veterans. It provides them with free day-use parking and entry for themselves and their family members at over 200 state park units.
To qualify for the pass, veterans must meet one of the following criteria:
* Be an honorably discharged veteran with a service-connected disability rating of 50% or greater.
* Be a former prisoner of war.
* Be a recipient of the Medal of Honor.
If you think you qualify, you can apply for the pass online or by mail. You will need to provide documentation to verify your eligibility, such as your DD-214 form and proof of residency.
Still, don't ever move back to that over-regulated state.
Yeah, your veteran benefits are miniscle in CA especially compared to TX and FL. In TX and FL you are literally saving millions of dollars in your retirement years.
