I just recently got into it but after I finished the story I can’t stop watching every video I can find about it I’m obsessed with the grand scale of it even outliving it’s original creator while not being ruined because the people around him actually cared about his story that much.
Crazy to think it's no where near finished too, heard there'll be about 10 more years until the manga comes to an end. Hopefully it'll get a good anime adaptation when it's all said and done
Anyone ever notice how, in the scene where Guts is sitting beside the bed where Godo is resting, there is a beam of light that looks exactly like the dragonslayer in motion, coming down on Godo? I'm assuming it represents death creeping ever closer to him.
If I remember correctly Ricket basically jumped out the river of causality when he made the decision to slap griffin. Now the god hands and even griffin don’t know what ricket is going do. Guts is still in it but his just swimming against the stream of causality. That’s why griffin can’t be truly dmg or touch by guts.

His arc is him self sacrificing his clans honorable past to give them a new home where they can truly be free. He's growing throughout the story, his constant dissatisfaction with the world and the forces at be, and I just see him making a final stand for his beliefs and the chance for his people to live happily.
WTF!? Farnese still doesn’t know Serpico is her brother!? How did I never realize that? I guess these refreshers are more useful than you’d think now n then! Side note: it’s a bit interesting hearing an English voice doing a deep analyses of a Japanese author’s superior work (at least among contemporaries) of very English storytelling with its countless bits of Arthurian and Tolkien influences, perhaps above all else, not to mention Court politics of the War of Roses and 30 years war among so much else. Oh, and let’s not forget the obvious Shakespearean themes throughout! Btw This is no insult! Just wondering if this point is a fair one to my good friends across the pond and their massive and deep, lore and history. If anything, it speaks to the great inspiration even foreigners can see in the work of the English. Even the US, A Song of Ice and Fire wasn’t too shabby for another foreign attempt at an Anglo epic. Maybe it takes that bit of detachment to feel truly enchanted by what may seem a bit cringey to an English writer. Although Prachet, Gaiman, and a few others have done some of the best ever put to paper as well!
What if Guts becomes a God-hand, and chooses to destroy the current ones in position except Griffith due to some convenience, but before that their brand will be void, and will make Guts sacrifice Caska like the what Skull-Knight did. 🤔
Skull knight didn't sacrifice his wife. The current theories is that Void was some mage of Skull Knight (father morguz actually tell this story) when he was a king and he had a beef with him so Void sacrifices the entire kingdom and Skull Knight's wife to become a GodHand. They were the Guts-Griffth of the old generation. Skull Knight became this way because he let his armor consume him, like they are trying prevent to happen to Guts
In a twist like this, Guts would lose the rest of his empathy and feelings during his ascension into the God-hand, and in a crazy twist of events, Guts and Griffith might in some way become friends/allies again. The Berserk story is so insane and good that it's quite possible the end will be something that no one will foresee. My bet is that Griffith will in the end somehow be betrayed by the rest of the God-hand (or the other way around, so that Griffith will be the last God-hand), and that will give Guts the chance for revenge. But it is almost just as likely that Griffith might somehow win, and be the lone "God", "Leader" of the entire world. And Guts might never get his revenge. Maybe it is Rickon? Or maybe a son of Guts who will in the end get the final revenge
