A strong story of Faith, Sacrifice and Forgiveness. I highly recommend seeing it. So much has been forgotten by modern day man about the sacrifices made by early Christians. May they now know what true faith is all about and the pain and anguish that can come with it. In the end however, total peace and forgiveness will be the reward.

I happen to agree with the 70 Apostles theory as an Orthodox Christian. We hold to the apostolic teaching that Luke was the first iconographer and that his depictions are the reason we have such stunning consistency in paintings of Jesus and Mary, in other words, we know what He looked like, because of Luke. If you go and look at the photo negative in the Shroud of Turin, and overlay the image on top of Orthodox iconography of Jesus, particularly the Christ Pantocrator image which is 1,500 years old, it's nearly a 1 to 1 match. And the Shroud is almost certainly genuine based on forensic analysis. I think this lends credence to the idea that iconographic images match the real image of Jesus, and that this then could be explained by the tradition that Luke painted Jesus and thus had to have met Jesus. Fascinating stuff
