Paul, Apostle of Christ is the story of two men. Luke, as a friend and physician, risks his life every time he ventures into the city of Rome to visit Paul, who is held captive in Nero’s darkest, bleakest prison cell. Before Paul’s death sentence can be enacted, Luke resolves to write another book, one that details the beginnings of “The Way” and the birth of what will come to be known as the church. But Nero is determined to rid Rome of Christians, and does not flinch from executing them in the grisliest ways possible.
Bound in chains, Paul’s struggle is internal. He has survived so much-floggings, shipwreck, starvation, stoning, hunger and thirst, cold and exposure-yet as he waits for his appointment with death, he is haunted by the shadows of his past misdeeds. Alone in the dark, he wonders if he has been forgotten . . . and if he has the strength to finish well.

Yes. This is true. It's the Kingdom of Heaven vs. the Kingdom of Satan. This battle has been raging in the spiritual Realm for a very very long time. It's the same battle that has been raging in our minds, the battle between evil and good. When you saw the news last year with all the riots occurring throughout the United States and the world, in case you listed on mainstream media. Actually, I would only be giving the mainstream media credit if I said that, the reality is that they did not reveal what was going on in the rest of the world with all the riots. The fact is, the entire nation the entire world is fighting, the entire world is rioting against governments, there is an uprising in evil, evil is becoming more and more rampant all over the world. But the prophet Isaiah said that as evil increases, God will raise up a standard, that being the Holy Spirit. Remember what the scripture say, when all else is gone, only three things remain. Those are faith, hope and LOVE. Imagine that, Christianity outlasting the Roman Empire. What a Mighty God we have, the god of Israel, the god of my salvation. He is perfect in power, Purity and LOVE. Love is the answer. I believe that the Lord will bless you abundantly and give you so much grace if you truly respond with LOVE. Remember, GOD is love.

That line kind of sums up why God didn’t just destroy Satan on the spot when he rebelled. He knew if he ended Satans tantrum right there by destroying him, it would only prove Satans point to the other angels or they would serve God out of fear not love. And God knows love is the only way

Beautifully shot scene. Alot of symbolism that was recognized by the cinematography team. When Paul begins his speech about love, he is in the light of God, while we the doubters are afraid in the dark. He offers his hand (the hand of Christ ) and brings us out of the darkness.

You are the one who decides because you are responsible for yourself, so search for the correct religion, for it is the way to your salvation. You may be mistaken in your choice. There is no shame in searching for the truth in more than one way. Here we have shown the way.

The enemy is is full force in the earth. It's hard to be Strong in love with the attacks and persecution on the church. I side with Jim here AND I SIDE WITH PAUL. Paul WAS on the other side and look what the HOLY GHOST did while transforming Paul. We HAVE to keep fighting the good fight of faith. Be Strong everyone. Stay the course. Cast out demons, win the lost. Our Lord is almost here.

Masterful scene. Luke is having a moment of crisis, falling down into darkness literally. All Paul can see is that shadow of the Cross on the wall behind him, by that window. He steps into the light and lifts Luke up with the light of the Holy Gospel.
For all those believers in Christ, this was a tear jerkier for me. Even though the movie was rated as good, the part of Paul touched my soul. It is amazing how knowing the Word and the presence of the Spirit can touch our being by just imagining the suffering that Paul bared in the name of Christ. Last part of the movie did it... I could not hold my tears as I watched a man that I believe truly loved the LORD.

After getting robbed and blessing my enemies i was thinking about revenge and listened to this.
The acting and everything in this scene was sooooo good, I was in tears.
This is a very beautiful film, it is very accurate to the teachings of Apostle Paul I feel sad for the persecuted Christians during Nero's time!

One thing Jesus came to do was to show us The Way. The way to live and how to treat each other in order to live a life pleasing to our Heavenly Father. The Way... the way IS love.

This was the greatest part of the testimony for me the end scene was beautiful 🙏 but this scene when Luke falls back shattered by all the evil that is persecuting his people and Paul gives the most heart warming teachings about Love truly touched my soul 🙏

Love cancels out all evil that's opposed to it. Christ stood for love and forgiveness but since the world is so evil it couldn't bare his presence. They same of us christians. If we truly have the spirit of christ within us it actually feels like the world has a bullseye on you and treats you like an alien. Its very creepy but its what christ said what would happen and to rejoice because its a sign that we belong to him. Amen!!
There will be critics but if it shows just half the love of Christ it will be a blessing for many !

People speak of love like a trivial thing, or a term used for something that is slightly more than merely liking something.
Love is sacrificial, and the absolute opposite of selfishness. Hate doesn't deserve the recognition of being opposite to love. Real love has no other. If someone truly loves you, that outweighs anything else that anyone could have for or against you outside of love.

We should ALL learn to forgive. Whatever the crime is. Is hard. But I forgive to ym grandfather killer. I went to see him in prison for 15 yrs and when he came out I helped him to find a place and a job. How can we think that God will forgive us if we are not able to forgive?

There is not such thing as perfect movie, preacher, show, etc... I am talking in the terms of scriptural accuracy! For the most part from what I have read and studied the movie stays close to the word, but then again I can be wrong. The greatest part though is that this movie in particular helped me to reassure my faith! Watch the movie for those who haven't already its a must see!
Too bad I missed seeing this movie at the theaters but can't wait to see it on dvd

Christians did not get killed because they preached love! The world accepts love! They were killed because they preached against sin like Jesus!
Thank you for this comment. Christians should not go blindly into the movie theater and watch this movie without watching out for inaccuracies to Scripture. No Biblically-based movie is completely accurate, nor can it be. But what people need to watch out for is twisting Scripture, either subtly or blatantly, and also notice what the overall agenda and message of the film is, from the filmmaker's point of view. Is the filmmaker sympathetic to what he is filming, or is he just making this film to tear down a story or belief? Even if he is not a Christian, he should make it at least accurate to what it says in the text, as well as historically accurate.

This world we live in right now...the past year makes me think of this scene. You look around....things are not the way they should be, but are not the way they have to be. If we show the kind of live Paul talks about, the love of Jesus, we can change this world. Especially love those who don't love you back. If you only love those who love you back...what kind of love is that? Like he said, should we give up on the world, when Christ did not give up on us?
