    Just now noticing that I said that this laptop has an nVIDIA GT 610 GPU, where in fact it has an nVIDIA 840M GPU. Sorry about that!

    Thank you very much for making such an informative video, you've just saved my folks several hundred dollars by letting me repair their laptop instead of sending it back to the manufacturer.

    You are a hero, my guy. Gonna try to reseat the RAM of my latitude cause it’s giving me the blinking double amber and four white lights. Hopefully it works! If it doesn’t work, I at least know what the RAM even looks like thanks to you haha!

      I do not really have a preference when is comes to RAM, as long as it has the speed and capacity that I need. Also good to hear that you're planning to upgrade to an ssd from an hdd.

    Did you have to tear the plastic sheet off under the battery compartment to expose what I see now? Mines has I easy removable plastic I haven't touched as of yet..

      Haha, I did have to test the plastic sheet off. And yes, compare my latitude E6430 RAM video to my most recent video 🤣

      @@TechBizmo also I think I have an incompatible battery, it says e7440 on it. Says battery not present and battery indicator blinks orange and white constantly.
      Ordered another battery which is meant to be for the e7450, says battery not present also but doesn't blink, just cones on once.. What do you think?
      I know my way around computers I just don't want to poke it too much as may return it. Poke meaning taking the battery off was poking enough, removing screws would be like superpoke etc enough for returning impossible.

    • @TechBizmo
      @TechBizmo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quite honestly, you should just return the system while you can. I've had a system like this in my past and it had the exact same issue. Had to just return the system after I attempted repair without success. The Latitude E7450 and E7440 batteries are compatible, I don't see it being the battery. Just return the item, and get your money back so you can make the purchase on another. I'm sorry! :( Hope you have a wonderful day! :)

    • @DJLNR.
      @DJLNR. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TechBizmo Wow thanks. How can I not take what you said into consideration. Urrgh returns though. ..
      I was thinking at the same time, would it hurt to always be plugged in and used as let's away a dedicated sound router / vnc watcher / anything besides a typical carry around laptop ..
      To be honest I would never purchase this brand new as the battery cycles are low even first hand. Big laptops with at least and over 9 volts seem to be the ones that lasted longer (replacement batteries worked better / maybe the windows of today is too much and or bios needs to be fully updated) than these new batteries that require adhoc infrastructure to be able to operate efficiently effectively etc all that crap
