Good vid. I have many Bark River knives, but the quality control is terrible. And they know it. It's factored into their business model at this point, sad to say.

Beautiful knife. I also have a JX5, and I have a Cub coming. I Ordered it yesterday. I went with curly maple, black liners, and mosaic pins, Can't wait till it gets here! I probably should have waited because I also just got a Spyderco Bradley Bowie in the mail yesterday. I've wanted one of those for quite awhile too because I'm a fan of Gayle Bradley designs, but I wasn't willing to pay the $301 they were asking. Knifecenter has them on sale for $199 now though, so I snatched one up. It's an outstanding knife. I'm really anxious to get that Cub in hand though. Been on my wish list for a couple years now.

@@alphaomegasurvivalsupply6548 The bradley IS nice. I got it yesterday. Haven't had the chance to take it out to the woods yet, but it feels good in the hand. The stock sheath rides pretty high though. I'll be looking around to find a drop leg attchment for it. I hate knives digging into my ribs.

Thank you, that cub is awesome. I dont have any experience with the Northstar, but I've heard its great. Either way you can't go wrong with bark river lol.

Nothing major, just little nit picky things lol like the handle not being perfectly simetrical, finish from tang to blade showing, just little imperfections that looked like they were rushing. Overall great knife tho and I love it, I just wish they cared more about finish when companies like tops get it perfect for half the price (not including the difference in cost of materials)

@@Homeyomey im sure it will be, the things I found on mine had to be looked for they didn't jump out first thing. Im sure yours is going to be great and your going to love it.
I had 14 pre orders from BRKT and cancelled 13 of them because of how badly the quality control is.
I dont disagree lol I was disappointed in it as well, I still think they're great knives but for the cost they should be much better. I can make a better finished knife 🤣 but I can't produce the volume like they do lol, honestly I haven't bought one in a while but ive had several of them. I have gotten rid of most of them now but I do still have this cub lol, its a shame to see such potential go to waste.
Bark River is FAR superior to ANYTHING made by Tops.
I agree but comparing the two products is silly, COMPLETELY different animals. Both are quality made knives made for their purpose .
It's all about brand pride and wearing that puppy on your hip around camp .

Not another man around for miles yet maybe another knife lover will walk by and talk knife with ya LOL and if he does he will be admiring your blade of choice. ...BUT that never happens and we end up sharing our knife with our family while they roll their eyes and say...
"Yes dad another cool knife that looks like all the other knives"... no this one is different see ..
