@@takeoutgrim9859 I think this person is trying to say that they've read the book "1984" by George Orwell and listened to Bloodhail a lot while doing so.
I know the band has said the song is about killing a god or the God of Christian faith but the feel and lyrics fit the fall of Lucifer so much better. His betrayal, his desperate attempt to seize heaven for himself and almost instantly losing, watching all the angels he dragged along suffer the most bitter defeat imaginable and in his pride still not being able to accept it. Even the arrowheads part starts to sound like arrogance, just to be followed by Lucifer trying to avoid the blame for what he’s done and the fate he’s doomed to suffer.
Human life is mysterious. Human beings aren't strong enough to live and die only for themselves. That's because we have ideals. We can only act for the sake of something. We eventually tire of living only for ourselves. It necessarily follows that we also need to die for something or be willing to. That something used to be called a 'noble cause', something greater than ourselves. That's what made it noble. To die for a noble cause was thought the most glorious, heroic and honorable way to die. But there are no noble causes today. Democratic governments have no need for noble causes. Yet if one can not find a value that transcends self, life itself, in a spiritual sense, is rendered meaningless.
