I just played this for some people to see if they could pick up some of the lyrics just by listening and they couldn't tell much of anything 😂 It's almost impossible
Just discovered this band and song through a meme. These guys are amazing. The world needs this kind of music these days. I hate that this band didn't see this blow up when it came out, but a time and place for everything. Maybe we just need it now. Thank you for the amazing song
Life was simpler back then. 9/11 kinda like started the whole deep state globalist takeover. It like triggers the apocalypse 😂 you can really see a huge shift in culture around the 2000s dude. Like everyone was pretty free spirited, then every year after 2001 got more and more depressing. I remember growing up me and my friends could run around the neighborhood and play in each others yards and we would have all the families have cookouts on holidays and birthdays and everyone could talk about politics and religion and life without it degenerating into violence or anger. No one had tablets or cellphones, no social media at all to make people feel envious or inadequate. I’m telling you the world will never go back to that again and it hurts my heart that y’all had to grow up in the midst of social media and All of this overstimulating anxious culture.
37 year old here and when I heard this song on social media, I figured it was from around 2002 but realized that it's much more recent than that. Pretty surprising to hear a band sound so uncannily like I may have heard them years ago and just couldn't remember it.

I’ve never heard this song, but it took me back to 04….school had just ended and I was supposed to meet my friends at the skatepark. This girl liked me, she left me a note to come hang out with her and smoke a cigarette by the swing-set next to the skate park. I was so awkward and shy. I thought she was so cool, with faded black jeans, a ripped up black hoodie covered in safety pins. I’m so glad I got to experience that slice of life. To sit there with her, angsty and awkward. How far I’ve come since then. Bunch of poor kids thinking we had the answers, but we really didn’t. Not a clue. I miss you Ashley. Thank you for thinking I was cool, and hanging out with me.
Lyrics: It's useless. I tried but to no avail, To tell you how much I know. How much I care. Come home. Breathe until your lungs fail. You can sing till you go deaf. Everyday that you don't call her, I can feel it. You're coming down. 1 am sick. I am horrified at everything I hear. The youngest daughter lost her way. Everyday repeats itself again. The cycle of our misery, it drives us all insane. Please come home. The poison takes away from us Now you're sick to death from all the drugs. Breathe until your lungs fail. You can sing till you go deaf. Everyday that you don't call her, I can feel it. You're coming down.
2:06 "I am sick. I am horrified with everything I hear. The youngest daughter lost her way." I honestly have a love-hate relationship with this song. I found it a few months ago, and I loved it. I love the way it sounds, and it flet like a song I've heard as a kid, but reading the lyrics hurt. I grew up with an alcoholic dad. He always ran off doing drugs and drank a lot. I grew up falling into his steps after telling myself I wouldn't. I drink and smoke because it makes me numb, and I forget about everything. It has a euphoria type of feeling. I feel guilty, though. Mom doesn't know, and I dont want her to lose her youngest daughter to substances after I had already been to the hospital from attempting suicide. This song has a big connection with me as well as others.
I completely understand, but get it together. I lost my brother to fentynal in 2017. I almost lost myself. My mother almost lost my brother and I on the same day from overdose. You deserve better.

Most of you are from US, but I'm not but as I live in a European culture, I think the perception is more different and contrasting for me, so maybe some of you don't realize how truly American this style of music is, really pure, this riffs, the way they deliver it is so rooted in true America. I've only known the band for a short time and I don't even know if they're American, but... I know they are.
I’m confused a little on your comment, you do understand that other countries have music have news radio and bands do travel lol so if I’m understanding your comment right your meaning this song hits ya different because your not American ? As in also your kinda saying because this is American band & the song was more than likely made in America your saying people in Europe don’t know music or this kind of music so it hits u different? lol trust me brotha I’m from America and I know a lot of non American music so ur comment is just a lil confusing lol sorry, but yes this song is very good hits back to my childhood late 90s early 2000s but trust me brotha this kind of music and even the band is probably known by some people in ur area u just don’t know them maybe but trust me music travels big time especially American and it all hits everyone the same it’s music man everyone I feel appreciates good music American or not

My mom is addicted to painkillers and constantly gets them off the street. It pains me because I love her so much, but she's so far down the rabbit hole that it costed her kidneys. She is currently in the hospital with two blood infections. This song speaks to me so much on such a deeper level.

Bro these type of songs give me so much nostalgia, I feel like im back in 2000's bcs of this song
We can climb out of the shadows and be our own. Love🩵

I’m not ashamed to say I’m back here because it is now trending, this song/band SLAPS!
