    Im just impressed that its right hand drive. I would love to see the engine compartment on how they laid out the brake system and all. awesome vid. Aloha.

      Engine compartment stays the same actually.. they use a 90 degree ball joint system setup under the dash so steering is transferred to the right.
      Some companies transfer the whole lot though across to the right

    Best looking dually in the country mate. Will pay for itself in no time. I had assumed your bussiness was hot shot work, seems like the perfect vehicle

    just tell me after you have the airbrakes fitted and I write the Cheque for how much you want for it, plus sending cost to Ireland, great truck perfect for towing Livestock on gooseneck hitch, we in Ireland only have to date a miserable 3.5 tonne max' limit on pick-up trucks. great work guys, Liam in IRELAND

    Be interesting to see how this goes in the long run. Guys in the states that use these in the light haulage business seem to be having major issues with them and are rebuilding old 5.9 rams to use for the hard work.

      Its our Downfall here in Australia that there isnt an alternative.. all the big American brands even the powerstroke are not without issues. Although the main downfall is mainly the emissions systems not the motors.

      @rich7447 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LabiaLicker Not even close to the same capability. The 79 is rated to tow 3,500 kg no matter which country that you run it in. The Ram 3500 Mega Cab DRW with the H.O. diesel is rated to tow 32,930 lbs/15t.

    • @LabiaLicker
      @LabiaLicker ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rich7447 Isn't tow capacity limited by the vehicle class though?. With a car license only going to 4.5T. With some modifications I think you can get a 79 to 4.25T. Anything higher and you've got to go with light/medium rigid. The limited factor is our stupid laws. I've seen a 79 comfortably tow a 12 ton boat. It sat well on the road and pulled up good.

    Wouldn't a small tray truck be better ?
    Seems the autos are not without issues.
    Hoping that's incorrect for your sake.
    But enjoy I like our 1500.

      @rich7447 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 68RFEs are the transmissions that people have trouble with. They are fine at stock power levels, but if you tune the engine above stock they slip and burn the clutches. The Aisin in this truck is pretty bulletproof. The HD trucks are far more durable than the 1500s.
      I don't really know what a "small tray truck" is.

    Was wondering if you guys got the 3500. As I’ve never seen dually trucks a lot, that aren’t prime movers or medium duty trucks.

    Over 4.5 tons you need airbrakes man that weight is nothing. I knew Australia was very hard on car/truck modifying but had no idea to what extent plus this is a factory vehicle i wonder if thats the reason Dodge and the rest of these truck brands dont open up shop there. truly sucks 😔. I know the ford lightning is making its way to Australia imagine having to run a compressor on airbrakes with a EV truck its all you gonna hear running down hill lol.
