    I just love how easy succulents are to propagate.

      omg! yes they are so easy. over here if you keep them moist they grow like crazy! I've been taking cuttings and adding them all over my landscape.

    Thank you. I found some the landscapists have planted in my neighborhoods nature strips and tried to propagate leaves too. Will return to nab some cuttings tomorrow. :)

      They are, and they are the easiest plants to grow and propagate.

    I should have watched this before I tried to propagate mine! I took some of the individual leaves off and have been trying to root them. It’s been a month and I realized I probably needed to include some of the stem 🙈 thanks for the quick and simple video!

    • @GardenloveHomestead

      No worries, let them grow a little and tey it again. 😉 super easy.

    Oohh first video I see that they don’t get calloused first , straight to the dirt

    • @GardenloveHomestead
      @GardenloveHomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you live in a place where the humidity is high and or it rains alot I would calloused it first but here where i live southern Cali zone 9b. It works just fine.

      @@GardenloveHomestead thank you, I’m in Los Angeles and it’s zone 10b , I let them callus one day, and I swear I saw rooting the next day, I planted them now see how it goes , I hope I didn’t kill these , I’ll post an update

    I got a cutting from San Diego, when I got back home it was dried up leaves fell off stem is getting a little wrinkly. I’m trying to revive it , any tips, I have tons of cacti but not sure if the care is the same. What climate will handle these outdoors? We have cold snowy rainy winters here in Tennessee but I wish I could grow them outside

    • @GardenloveHomestead
      @GardenloveHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's tought. If you have a lot of rain put it in cactus mix so the water can drain well and or maybe you can put them where it doesn't get rain but lots of sun. I have a plant in a container. Sometimes I forget to water it for weeks and it does fine. If it's under alot of sun with no rain it will need more watering often, but it sounds like that's not the case for you.

    I live in an area where we get hot and dry summers and cold and wet winters. Do you have a video on succulents that might do well in this sort of climate?

      @hamidsabir2296 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GardenloveHomestead it's in full sun. I have planted a few trees though to get a little bit shade going but that's gonna take quite some time obviously.
