Thank you for this! Got my first of these plants last week. I know it must've taken a lot of time and commitment to produce a video that spans over months. Thank you 😊

Lost my collection to North Indian summer. Request a tutorial on how to protect them in the heat? How long do they take to start rooting & leafing?

My ones haven't flowered in more than a year. They are around 5 cuttings in a pot and they only get morning sun (albeit briefly, especially in the winter). Maybe I should move to a location that gets more sun?

Yes, they flourish in Sun so more sun will help

They like water. contrary to popular belief my succulent loves water I water her every other week throughly .....but we are entering winter and I will slow down on the water ...and just water when dry ...but they love water.just need that space in between to dry up .

But they don't necessarily need it. Their leaves are thick and hold lots of water. They can be a drought tolerant plant

A month ago, I planted up two mixed pots of various rooted succulents. While all the rest of the succulents liked the amount of water I gave them, the Chalksticks in both pots got root rot. This plant you should be extra careful not to overwater.

@@greeneyedlady5580 depends on your soil blue grass succulents in particular like less water the issue is too if you out other succulents that don’t need as much water and the soils is nit fast draining snd they don’t get enough sun you will get root rot The combination of sun water and soil is The magic ratio . I also meant to say every other week in my post not every other day hahahaha . Even so I had a sprinkler that was hitting them every week and they grew like crazy . The key is to get those leaves fat and that requires enough water and enough dry out time .Chalk sticks grow anywhere they need very little care . I noticed My Orange ser burst succulents like less water than the others too . But they need it at the right time .

can this grow in a smaller pot without getting out of hand or is it better for bigger planters and ground?

You can contain the growth in smaller planter. Depends on what you want to do

Probably too much heat. Can you move it inside?

    • @greeneyedlady5580

If the leaves are drying up, it probably needs more water.

Does this plant get root nodes? A friend has one with something coming out of the stem. There is some debates whether its worms or roots. To me, They look like the roots trailing house plants get.
