XCOM recently revealed it's new expansion War Of The Chosen. Thing is, it costs just as much as the base game. But is this just another rip off in a long line of XCOM rip offs?
Same. I won't wait sales because i love this game and i've spent more than 200 Hours in it so i feel fine in spending a bit more money than usual for the xpack, expecially when i've spent 50Euros in games which lasted 8 hours in total, lol.
The value of the expansion or any other item in this world is determined by the market. If people are going to keep paying more they are going to keep charging more. Your best defense is to by it on sale and not at full price. This shows the developer that the market will not bear an increased price and they will stop. You said at the end that you won't do this because you don't want to wait and that is precisely the attitude they are banking on.
Your argument is valid it is expensive as hell for people who have to work for they're pay like me and you it's very unfortunate they decided to put the price so high I'm hoping that there really enough content to justify the price we really have to just wait and see and hope and that sucks that because you live in England they charge more from you than rest of us i heavily doubt they can justify that by any reason and new around here you have gained a subscriber :)
War of the chosen cannot be compared to Enemy within. It's the biggest expansion any Xcom game has ever seen and it changes the way the base game plays. If you don't think it's worth the price your daft.
well... that's some part of the truth... Just with one exception - XCOM was good game from the beginning. Enemy Within not fixed it but only enhance it a bit. And Long War enhanced it even better.

It happen the same shit with Xcom EW. Result: 1 year playing cracked torrent full game, then bought it full + all dlc's for 11 bucks. :D
