Basim fast forwards because he doesn't have to deal with the synchronicity that all other characters do. Its the literal opening of the first game that tries to start at the isu artifacts that they want but desmonds mind starts falling apart due to the desynchronization leading to them needing to start at an earlier memory without the mental tear. Also the cash shop stuff is not cosmetic. All gear on sale has custom effects that are unique to that particular item or set. Also the dlcs fix your problems about the home base not producing anything because the Blood Of the Druids dlc is weirdly enough all about trade routes and getting legacy items through trade with the areas that those weapons are from. The druids are just a side detail however they do massively flesh out the combat system due to the werewolves and mist summoners. A better name for the dlc would be "Trade And Commerce".

coming back to odyssey after valhalla and mirage ... and boi do I love me some odyssey. I nearly forgot how much of a great time i had with it. best "non-assassin's creed" of the series for me

Huh, I'm only halfway through the video, but I think that's the first time I've ever heard anyone be critical of Melissanthi Mahut's performance as Kassandra. I think it helps make her be one of the most charismatic and engaging game leads I've ever encountered. It's a remarkably ballsy mix of arrogance, rage, compassion, wit, and at times melancholy. Alexios's performance is hilariously terrible by comparison, but I think Melissanthi is perfect. Playing her as a fuckboy swaggering across the Greek world is also an immense amount of fun... The flirting and 'romance' can be as bad as an older BioWare game (and the possible kiss with Aspasia is thoroughly bizarre), but quite often the script and framing makes her come across as a character who just really enjoys sex. There's nothing self-conscious or po faced, and that's still quite rare in media. I wonder if she'd have been allowed that quality had she been the only lead. Doubtful. For the setting/era and Kassandra, I genuinely loved Odyssey, and it'll likely remain my favourite AC (it's the game that made me play several others after I couldn't stand Brotherhood). But as game design? Boy, does it have immense issues, just like Origins and Valhalla. And I hated the Atlantis stuff. Those DLCs were like torture. For Kass and the world depicted, I still rather miss Odyssey.

Best way to play this game is NOT upgrading Arno or his gear imo

well tbf, if you call AC Origins grindy, then AC Odyssey and Valhalla are the grind queens and kings of the franchise lmao

All i remember about rage 2 is that it was a fun play. I don't remember any characters, story points, memorable moments. But i had alot of fun playing it, i think.

It has, way, way, waaaay to many bugs for it to be enjoyable even if it were a good game. Which it's not. Just the same formula, recycled in a different world. I wanted to finish it but I just couldn't mainly for the bugs, but I didn't really mind not finishing either tbh.

Man your videos are really good except for that annoying background music. Hopefully you'll consider removing that.

Valhalla was slower because of all the puzzles and dungeons they added…which they added because old AC fans complained odyssey had little to none,I think we should stop listening to old ac fans

its best played when you do not play much of the collect & mystery quests. You gotta enjoy the possibility its there but do not play it because its repetetive.

AC Valhalla is a terrible assassins creed game. But a pretty cool viking RPG with some AC lore sprinkled in

One thing I like bout origin an odyssey was how the npcs will react differently to you and how if u kill a guard they take the dead body out the camp to bury it

I like both I sympathizes with bayek cause he know it’s his fault his son is dead and also sympathizes with Kassandra cause I did the bad ending I really felt for her she kill her adopted father and real father and couldn’t save my lil brother an mother an I end up all alone

I'm not an AC purist as the first game I played was Origins, I didn't like Valhalla after coming from Odyssey. I find it gruelling and I don't like Eivor as a character. My favorite part was when you meet Kassandra for nostalgia's sake.

personally i found unity fun, just in the way u traverse alone, syndicates parkour is just pressing a button to get around with your grappling hook, because of this i found enjoying paris more than london, again saying what game is better is subjective and is just my opinion, but i think syndicate is just more boring, i will say it performs better but its less fun in my opinion

Ive easily play 96hrs and still havent gotten half the main game done, and only completed the druid dlc. Next to Unity I love this setting.

The only problem for Valhalla is it just too fucking long i played 30 hours of it realize i had like 120 hours still to go. And most of the time that be a good thing but i just could handle it

well Elden Ring is not the best example since soulsgames are known for much optional stuff, so you can actually finish them faster. You got tons of optional bosses, some areas that are not needed for the end and all the NPC's quests who are mostly if not all optional. So if you do not want to see "everything", Elden Ring aint that long :D

It’s a mark of a truly mid game where the best part is where you avenge another play who got killed by a snake. Genuinely the best part of this game.

Evie, Aya, Kassandra, all amazing female player characters with fully fleshed out personalities and backgrounds (why no Aya free roam???), distinguished from their male counterparts. No idea wtf they were thinking with Eivor. Marketing team says we gotta have a female character, just do a model swap and hire someone to do their worst batman voice and call it a day I guess.

Still better than the newer games Mirage included they are all copy and paste cash cows

The only thing that bothered me about this entire video is your question on why Ubisoft is afraid to just embrace a female protagonist. So firstly as a male I cannot relate to any female based game character. And why in the hell would you want to take choice away from the player base? I mean we have snowflakes running rampant right now with this frigan gender identity crisis trash. Why do those things get a choice on how they identify but we don't get a choice on how we play our game? Freedom of choice is part of the experience sometimes. And in a video game series like this where they've started going in that direction to take that choice away right now would be the wrong move. Especially because that choice is probably one of the reasons why a lot of people have started playing it now.

Man I just really hate there’s no new game + I really appreciate a game that’s very thorough , explaining every little detail. But shiiiid talkin bout 200+ hrs on a playthrough( I explore a lot in my playthroughs 😅) And then not having any of your hard earned rewards on the next. That’s honestly the only reason I won’t play it. This game is too damn long to not have it

It's not a bad game, origins through odyssey are the worst assassin's Creed games. Thats pretty much the narrative.
