Cell Phone Service: Bell, Telus, Koodo & Virgin Mobile - cell service was poor. Lots of buffering and limited connection. Sometimes texting doesn't work. Very unreliable. If you've been to this park please let us know your experience with cell service, especially if your with a service provider different from the ones mentioned.
We were here July 18th-20th 2024 and had good service with Telus. The only place we had slow service was at the beach in front of the cabins. Our site (40) had excellent service and we were able to stream with no buffering.
So happy to have met you this year at Inverhuron PP....and a real thrill to appear in your video! (That's us walking behind your friend's new Escape trailer at 13:57, dressed in red. We were the ones who excitedly burst, uninvited, on to their site to meet you! .....Sorry about that, but you ARE THE COLES after all! Thanks for the fridge magnet and sticker!) I am happy to be one of your subscribers, and you are the ONLY camping TH-cam channel I follow. Thanks for all your videos. They are a real pleasure to watch, and most helpful for us planning our Ontario Provincial Park camping adventures. Inverhuron PP is one of our favourite parks...right up there with Awenda, MacGregor Point and Chutes.
Hey there! Yes, we remember you. Thanks for saying "Hello" to us, otherwise, we may never have met you! Thanks so much for subscribing and following along with us. Maybe we will bump into you again sometime. Happy camping! :)
We are in Holmes, and it sure is quiet. Site 240...its a pull through. Our daughter is in 241, its a back in and really private. We really enjoy this park. Lots of biking for the grandkids
What a wonderfully timed video!! My husband and I will be camping at Inverhuron next weekend, our third trip with our new camper 😊 I was there as a kid maybe 2007 or so, amazing to see what it looks like now!
We love this park! The sites are huge, private and level compared to most parks. Privacy is great. pull through sites are enormous. mostly quiet. best cleaned washrooms.
We have been to Inverhuron the last 7 years. Holmes Bay has amazing sites that are large and private. The beach has been as small as 10’ to the water to the point they’ve had to redirect traffic from the boardwalks. I’m amazed to see the beach as you’ve presented here. I’ve never seen it like this before. Looking forward to our trip in August when Huron has warmed up. Thanks for sharing.
We love Inverhuron just for the size and privacy of the lots. Plus I seen a bear the first time we were there. We would also venture over to the nuclear plant and there is usually a bunch of bald eagles. You’s did a great review of this park. Thanks❤️
We were in site 40 with the noisy diesel. If I would have been back another inch i never would have been able to plug in myself. It was a pleasure meeting u. Jen And Sean 😊
Just stayed on 176 last week definitely a big site as I have a 32 ft fifth wheel and had no issues could’ve put another one on the site with me had that much space. Just did a 5 park tour the past 2 weeks just got home today
Been a fan for many years! Here’s a suggestion: Give top three sites for each areas of the campgrounds! Keep up the good work and hope to met you two one day! 👍🏻
I get what you're saying but it would be nearly impossible to do. We would have to look at and assess every site in the park which we don't have time to do. Also, whether a site is good or bad is very much a personal opinion. Everyone looks for different things in an ideal site. We'd probably tick off a lot of people too, by making those sites harder to get in the future. I get where you're coming from but I don't think we'll be incorporating it into the videos. Thanks for the suggestion. Many of the things we show in our videos are as a result of viewers like you offering suggestions.
Luv the video, Inverhuron is my all time favorite park, simply because it was the first provincial park that I ever camped in, I cut my camping teeth at barely 1 yr old. To see the park now and what it was back in the late 1960s. I used to snowshoe the closed park in the winter months . Walking up and down the old overgrown roads seeing the old abandoned campsites, picnic tables and fire place grates getting overgrown. And now the rebirth of the park into a big rig park is awesome. If your ambitious, you can bike up to MacGregor provincial park on road 33, round trip is about 45 km. Not a very busy road. I kayaked up the channel past the rainbow bridge several years ago when the water was much higher, got about half way in then water got too shallow. The trail from Holmes bay past the cottages back to the office was called the scenic drive, you could actually drive a car on that road which is now a multi use trail. Still my favorite park and always will be.
Thanks for your videos. Just got into camping with a truck tent and my 2024 F150 with the Pro Power onboard (does your Ford have this? The 7.3 kwh option can power a 30 amp trailer). Anyway, I stumbled on your videos while trying to decide what parks to try out first. Did Earle Rowe last weekend and had a blast even with the rain. Balsam Lake and Sibbalt point are my next bookings. Then might go further North. Have you guys done Kap Kig Iwan? Looks like a super nice park.
You have the truck of my dreams! No more worries about getting an electrical site when you have a 7.3 kwh generator built into your truck. Our truck is a 2016, well before they came out with the electric/gas hybrid with the built in generator. Our TH-cam channel is going to have to get a lot bigger before I can afford to get a new truck.😊 We haven't been to Kap Kig Iwan yet. Probably a place will look at next year.
If you're looking to do something that is outside the park, I highly recommend you take your bicycles up to Port Elgin (a lovely little town itself worthy of exploring) and go to the Port Elgin main beach...lots of free parking. From there is a beautiful 7 km bicycle path to Southampton along the shore of Lake Huron. About a 20-25 minute mostly flat ride and there are plenty of pubs, restaurants, and a brewery as a reward for your pedal. Walker house has a beautiful outdoor garden and amazing food...can't say enough!! Really love the drive to get to the park. For us it takes us through what must be some of Ontarios best farm country and it's a very relaxing drive on mostly secondary roads (all good) with lots of great scenery along the way. Thanks for the great reviews, they really give you a good heads up for the things that most campers like to know about in advance.
Inverhuron is a great park! We've been going there for years. I like that its quiet, not once have we had problems with any roudy or inconsiderate people. Everyone has always been do friendly and nice. I will be completely honest they have the cleanest comfort stations of any campground I have been to. If we had to choose between Inverhuron and any other park we would always choose Inverhuron. We easily rate it a 9 even 9.5 out of 10.
@@CampingwiththeColes Yes it is a very high rating, that is how much we love this campground. Now we tent it and on the non-serviced sites in Lime Kiln. It never disappoints. So looking forward to our next vacation up there.
Hi Guys, since you don't have Rogers, perhaps ask viewers to comment below on other service providers cell signal strength. We use Rogers and get different signals depending on where we camp. Food for thoughts.
@@derekknight4214 I guess it's being overly cautious. Ontario Provincial Parks usually source their water from the municipal water in the area so it's perfectly safe for drinking. That's not always the case with private parks, state parks etc. We filter all the water going into our trailer to keep the plumbing system clean. We still don't usually drink that water, for drinking water we bring a 5 gallon jug from home. We use the trailer water for cooking, coffee, cleaning, showing etc. I know I can drink it if need be. Basically it's just to ensure a clean plumbing system.
Nothing worse than trying to have peace and quiet at the campsite with a fire and the neighbour site brings out the guitars. If I wanted a concert I'd go to one at the local pub.
Lol, reminds me of my first camping experince with the kids where I didn't sleep for 3 days at Emily park. Radio free zone was not off limits to guitars and druken singing. Now when I see it, I cringe. I have since lowered my expectations when camping in car camp parks.
Wow. I couldn’t disagree with you more. Camping is not for being quiet. People play music, have a sing along, talk, laugh, and have a good time. Maybe camping isn’t for you?
@@plainsight1249 no I’m not that singer. I can’t sing worth a crap. These people are lovely. They put together wonderful videos and this what you chose to write, really? With all the crap in our country, this is not something to complain about. Always be nice to good people. Cheers!

Internet seemed fine using Fido (so also Rogers). Stayed in Lime Kiln. Not as good on the end with the rustic cabins but still worked.
