Have you considered using Celebration cookies to make S'mores? I think it worked out pretty well! No need to buy Graham crackers, AND chocolate; it's got it all!
My husband and I are getting back into camping after a couple of years off, and were looking for some recommendations for parks to camp in around Ontario, found your channel this afternoon and binge-watched your videos for most of the day. Thank you SO much for putting in the effort in making these amazing videos!! Being from Espanola, I especially loved your driving POV through Sudbury and area in this video :)
Once you found us, you fell down the rabbit hole. LOL. We have a lot of videos and lots more to come. Thanks for watching. Maybe we'll see you out there in the wild sometime.
Hello their Coles i'm from Windsor and just want to say keep up the fantasstic videos they are the best at the provincial park reviews out there i've used them many times to decide where to go Thx abunch Cheers.👍✌
I went to Killbear for the first time earlier this year and absolutely loved it! Definitely want to go again. Using a peanut butter cup for s'mores is a genius idea! Thank you for these provincial park reviews, they are so helpful for planning future camping trips. Hope to one day run into you guys! ☺
Omg! Best episode yet! The lighting, the clouds, the wind, the islands, the coastline, the bright green in the trees... We haven't been to killbear yet but this looks like a 10 if there ever was one. Looks like this was a workout too. I'm sure you were both tired at that point. We are impressed how active and fit you both must be. That's a workout better than any gym can offer. Thanks. We're big fans. We're off to Algonquin next week for Thanksgiving.
Wow! Very high praise! We were pretty bushed by the time we got to Killbear. It was our 7th park in a row. I was worried that the video might be a little boring. It's such a good park and we wanted to do it justice.
Killbear Provincial Park...very interesting....the greenery is very lush.... The beach is so beautiful...so enchanting... It's a place worth visiting....
What an awesome season! As always, looking forward to the next ones! I was such a bad Mom, cause I always forgot to bring the marshmallows! I'm not a fan either! All that gooy sugar before bed!!! I guess I had a mental block! Alas, we usually bought a bag near by!
Just got home from Killbear. Your video was very informative, we watched it before going there, and thanks for making it. We camped in the Lighthouse B campground, and it was lovely. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the showers were very hot, I mean a child could easily be scalded! So I reported that, and it will be fixed ASAP. But if anyone reading this is going there, just wanted to give you a heads up just in case. Thanks again for this review, it was great to see tips and tricks before we headed there. 🥰
Lots of men in my family are also not fans of smores. Wienners smothered in mustard on the other hand is a must...lol Loved this review.. Will definitely book this one in the future.
I've been checking your videos for a while, thank you for all the information and pictures. Though I'm a day-trip hiker, not a camper, I find your videos very helpful and insightful. I went to Killbear yesterday and absolutely loved it. The weather was perfect, and the rocks were easier to walk than sand in hiking boots, and nice to sit on. I loved how clean the water was, soaking feet listening to kids screaming having fun jumping off from the rock in the background. What a beautiful and unique place. The tree was in a rough shape as you mentioned in the video, I hope it will be takne care well (by a tree doctor?). I will definitely go back to this park and explore more.
@@CampingwiththeColes my husband doesn't like driving and I can't drive so we took a bus trip from toronto. Spent there about 6 hrs / good but can't say it was enough, would've been nice to see the beautiful sunset you've mentioned.
We’ve stayed at Harold’s Point a number of times and made it a nightly event to walk out to Sunset Point for the view. My Wife took a picture that was used as the cover picture for the park paper a number of years ago. The Killbear tree is cool but my favourite is the “male” tree that you two were standing beside😉
Loved seeing what Killbear has to offer. I haven't been there yet - but I am definitely adding it to my list for next year... I already have a running list! Hoping to get up further north to some of the parks you've shared.
Killbear is a top park for sure. We were pretty warn out by the time we got there as it was our 7th park in a row. I wish we would have had some more energy for it as it's such an awesome park.
Heading there the first week of october on a quick 3 day tour of provincial Parks’s. We like to do drive thrus and pick out sights that suit us and keep track on the map for future reference. After seeing this I am quite excited as it looks like an amazing park. Thanks for your hard work.🥰
Wow you just keep getting better and better another great one guys. Killbear is definitely on the list for next year. We are headed to Grundy today but unfortunately the weather is going to be terrible, we will make the best of it anyway. I must admit I don’t like s’mores either sorry Cheryl 😊
We have something in common besides the love of camping. I don't like smores either. I like chocolate but the only marshmallows I like are in my chocolate milk. There are tons of camp snacks available. 😃😃
LOL! I don't like Smores either. One of our favourite parks, but after seeing your video, I think we will stick with May and June and Oct for camping there. Too busy for us!
That's a good idea if you don't like big crowds. It's a very busy park. We usually like quieter parks but every now and then for a change we enjoy going to a busier park. We enjoyed watching all the kids riding around on their bikes and playing together. It's refreshing to see them playing like we used to as kids rather than sitting on their butts glued to a screen of some sort. We didn't mind the hustle and bustle at this park.
We just got home from Killarney where I confessed to my husband s’mores were not my fav. I love marshmallows, chocolate and Graham crackers but oddly not mixed in one. So I am halfway with you Ben! Look forward to the next video in a couple of weeks

Do you plan to do any Winter camping videos? We're looking forward to Pinery for winter camping this year! 👍 Thanks for your park reviews! Much appreciated!
We are debating it. We used to winter camp in Yurts when the kids were young. Now it would be just the two of us and not as much fun as I can't see us going tobogganing and skating on our own. We'll see what happens. I (Ben) suggested it to Cheryl but she didn't seem to keen on the idea.
Great review as always ☺️ We look forward to your reviews on parks on the weekends. Great job! Oh and don't worry about not liking s'mores we don't either we just do them for the kids (19 & 14) LoL 😂

As a dog owner, I would give this park a "D" for pet friendliness. All of the accessible beaches are completely dog free.
