- Come fly in the back seat of our latest and greatest Super D Bronco. @thisisbroncocountry
@n665cc
Lets go flying in the Backseat of Super Bronco 155418 which is a former US Marine Corps warbird. This Bronco saw action in Vietnam and was a Weapons developmet airframe at China Lake California in VX-5 known as the Vampires.
Full Garmin touch screen avionics (NGV) 3 Comm radios VHF, XM Radio, Satellite phone, Active traffic warning, Terrain warning, Radar Altimeter etc. Duel redundant systems in front and back seat. Fully aerobatic capable - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
This plane is ridiculously badass. Inlove it. And the view out of the cockpit is amzing! Lucky you, enjoy!
Those Garretts are some loud power plants just like the MU-2
Love the Bronco! Those Garrett Turboprop engines are loud enough to wake up people in the next county! Lol!
True that, Garrett's love to scream.
Another fine example of a loud Garrett is the Piper 400LS with a pair of even larger Garrett's. Good God,do they scream!
Always dreamed of owning a 400LS, until I found out they have an airframe mandatory life limit.
@@Rogue-7.62 Yeah, maybe the 400LS stands for "Loud scream" Lol! 😀
I want just be an observer just to follow throughout this amazing journey
Any aircraft you need to wear a helmet is badass !!!
I am wondering what the rate of climb is old versus the new propellers?
Looks like from what I can see it has a Garmin gtn750 gps and I'll take a punt that the attitude indicator is a GI275
Just curious but what airfield are you flying out of?
KCNO, Chino
On performance of a short field takeoff at V1 rotational speed with 10 degrees of flaps what is your best angle of climb in the Bronco?
Not sure yet.
What would a backseat ride cost?
Is Kermies A26 just to the right at start up ? Place looks familiar?
That’s Chino airport in California. The shop directly in front of the Bronco is Matt Nightingale’s restoration shop. I spent 40 plus years hanging around that airport before I escaped California.
Beautiful airplane. Too bad North American chose those pesky Garrets instead of PT-6A’s
I prefer PT6’s as well but the Garrets are more fuel efficient and don’t have as much lag if you need horsepower quickly. They’re also much louder and take more Amps to start. Pluses and minuses like everything else.
@@mdbryan9525 - I agree. I found PT-6’s to be much easier to maintain.
North American did actually have 1 test airframe with PT-6's installed, results were not favorable.
