Such a pity Boeing didn’t proceed with OV-10X.. it was imho a much more versatile and effective aircraft than the Tucano or Texan based options out there.. Ok I’m biased, it’s a Bronco 😉
@@JanPoesk with all due respect, just because you haven’t heard of it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. OV-10G/G+ was a fore runner of the LARA program - look up Combat Dragon II and Imminent Fury. Only a few were built and operated under a semi-transparent cloak of secrecy in 2016 to successfully fight ISIS in Iraq. Boeing made a pitch to make new build aircraft called the OV-10X based on their success but there was not enough interest to restart production. As far as avionics, weapons, and other kit it is about as far from an OV-10D that you can get and still have it be an OV-10. Think legacy Hornet versus Super Hornet.
