I'm not sure why, but I have always loved these trawler type boats. The way the inside looks with all the natural wood is what I love the most. I love to have a living room that invites everyone in that makes them feel like they can relax as if it's saying sit down and enjoy yourself with all your friends and family. A lot of boats out there doesn't have that type of natural feeling inside them as these trawlers have. These boats like this you can take them anywhere an a 3,000 mile range proves that. Granted you can't go over 10 knots but isn't that why you want to go on the water, to enjoy the ocean, seas, rivers or lakes to just relax and enjoy life. Meeting new people an going places that for many places you can only get to with a boat. Share the love, it's the glue that holds everything together in our Universe.

Another great video on a boat you represent. At 25 years young the boat does look well maintained and very tidy.

I too like the wing engines.....good enough to get you to a safe port and gives you all that extra room around the main engine. Also, I remember watching a video of a couple in the Washington area who mainly do a lot of inland waterways exploring and they almost exclusively use their wing engine.....they aren't fussed withe the slower speed and it really helps the economics....their main engine is their wing engine!!!!
Ulbre: What a thoughtful response, thankyou. Nordhavn builds 'em right and most owners look after them accordingly. Comparing price points with a lot of newer, lesser quality boats that are charging more, it is easy to see the value of a Nordhavn. Sure, there is always more you can spend, but the overall quality to price point is tough to beat with a Nordhavn and Grey Goose is a great example - you can buy her and go, I am not aware of any projects that would delay your trip.

For the kind of money, they’re asking 540,000. This vessel should be perfect for crying out loud. They probably paid that back in 2000 !

Brand new in 2000 it would have been a lot more than $540,000. Good news for you, it may be too late, Grey Goose is under contract.

That’s OK I just pass up ads like yours all the time. I’m currently working with a broker that we’re working on a deal right now anyway so yes, that is good news for me.
FYI, all you have to do is put “SOLD” after you sell it and you’re allowed and it’s OK to disclose important factors that prospective buyer wants to see immediately .

I would be curious to know how much more it would have cost the original builder to add a flybridge if that was an option. Jeff, do people ever buy an older boat like this and have the heads completely refitted with more modern finishes..and if so, how costly would something like that be approximately?
Mandalorian: The choice of a flybridge was an option when new, I don't have the numbers in front of me, but would guess it was about a $30,000 - $40,000 option depending upon wet or dry exhaust, mast and boom vs. arch and some layout options - plus extra for nav/com, canvas, etc. New toilets, counters and sinks - estimate $7,500 per head? Guess it depends on who does the work and what you select. All numbers can vary considerably, but hope this helps.

Frank: The current refrigerators we an upgrade from what was originally installed.
I am curious also why there isn't a full refrigerator?
Karen: The Isotherm stainless steel inboard of the stove is a replacement/improvement for the original full size/stand up refrigerator/freezer. There is also a portable freezer in the lazarette.

Phil: YES! The Nordhavn website posts: 3,000 miles @ 7.0 knots. So, depending upon your route, with all ready to go and a 10% fuel reserve at arrival it is certainly possible.

5:14 Wait......to get to the guest stateroom you go thru the owner's stateroom?
Rael: The primary entry for the guest stateroom is from the pilothouse down the stairs to the lower level landing. But, if you keep both doors open in the owner stateroom, as many do during the day, you can pass through the owner with less steps than going through the pilothouse.

John: The original owner had a choice on cabin layout. Most of the 50's have the same owner arrangement - the forward, guest area, was done in some different configurations. Grey Goose has the preferred two stateroom layout with the owner aft and a wide berth forward. She is a beautiful boat, thank you!
