Tocantins jury be like: "JT you blindsided all of us, well done we all trusted you and you used that to your advantage" "Stephen you blindsided all of us, why are you such a piece of crap"
You can somewhat see the logic in his HvV move, but no one can justify his move in game changers. A rise, fall, and destruction video truly never suited a player more than it suits J.T. I know there was nowhere for him to go but down after his first season, but damn he didn’t need to go that far down lol
JT despite his massive screw ups in his return appearances did change the game in every season he played. First perfect game, first player to gift his idol to a player on the other tribe, first player to start a live tribal. Now of course his second and third game changing moves were also game ending moves for him, but hey he'll be remembered forever in survivor lore. Up there with Boston Rob, Sandra and Tony. Like the Mount Rushmore of Survivor lol
I understand his thought process in HvV, but I still wouldn’t have given the idol to someone on the other tribe. The hidden immunity idol is your second lifeline in this game
@@carlasmith9093this is the part I’ve never understood. You know nothing about his game, but you know he’s considered a villain. I would understanding assuming you could trust a hero you didn’t know, but a villain?
It pains me that JT is now known more for his stupid moves instead of known for being the first person to play a perfect game Will always be one of my favorite winners
I don't care what happened in his other games--JT's Tocantins win is still the best ever for a first-time player. And I rank it as the second-best game in the history of Survivor behind only Tony's dominant performance in Winners at War.
@@bigbuffguy9589 I think Tony's win on Cagayan was the best ever for a first-time player. The idea of a "perfect game" is overrated, it just means that the jury all like each other and there are no internal factions. Really has nothing to do with the winner.
I remember reading somewhere that every time JT returns, he acts like he's playing with house money, and yeah, i see that. His games get progressively worse each time he plays, but he's undeniably more entertaining each time as well. I'd love if they kept bringing him back until he gets voted out first and somehow sinks fiji to the bottom of the sea.
Hear me out...WAY back in 2002-2003 I remember reading that the first boot on Survivor All Stars received a $25K appearance fee...I can only imagine they have gone up in the years since then, especially for returnee players...is JT actually a genius, and plays Survivor poorly post-Tocantins so he can get a windfall he wouldn't get back in Alabama? lol
I know the Winners at War players got 40k for being on that season. Tony said post game he wouldn't play without guaranteeing that much so he could install a pool at his house.
@@OnceUponAnIslandDamn that's 5k less than my yearly salary. I thought college was a smart move but I should have auditioned for a reality TV show competition.
Remember, fam, JT's full name is James...James is historically not a lucky name for Survivor players...when this is remembered it explains a lot of JT's faux pas (Tocantins aside, of course)
I saw the runtime and said to myself that I’ll never finish this video. 1:41:34 later and here I am done with this video and wanting to watch more Survivor.
I think Stephanie was rly good in tribe challenges actually. at least the physical ones. She was the strongest link of ulong which is why she was the last one. idk that challenge where u have to run around in a circle with weights and catch the other tribe, Stephanie was carrying like 2 other ppls bags for 30 mins and never dropped out until they lost. most girls do 1 or 2 laps with one bag and then tap out. she's a great competitor in physical challenges
I know this video is about JT, and I know he played a “perfect” game his first season, but can we acknowledge how hard Stephen fumbled the ball at final tribal? Dude looked like Mark Sanchez out there
JT is actually my favorite player in history I think (before this video). He’s so incredible and it’s like the merge tribe said in Tocantins, he’s an extremely likable guy. I doubt he’d play again but I really want to see a legend season with him in it. And I wish he would’ve done Winners at War, but I think him not being in WaW kinda tells us he won’t play again
It would have been interesting to have seen him get some redemption on 40. He's claimed his 2nd and 3rd game recklessly assuming he had little chance of getting to the end because of biases against winners. Would he have been under evaluated like Tony was early 40 because of some bad games?
Personally I like J.t. a lot and he will definitely never go out like that knowing him in survivor and he is a amazing player still to this day probably he is still a challenge beast, he is a social threat and he was nice in game changers for the most part
Not fair to call him a failure. The Handsome hero archetype almost never wins on Survivor. The survivor graveyard is littered with them (Joe x3, Jonathan, Terry x 2, Ozzy x 4, James x 2, Colby x 2, Matt, Parv’s ex husband forgot his name, and so many more). Ethan, JT, possibly Fabio and most recently Chris Underwood (and they had to add a special edge opportunity for the poor guy to even have a shot) are the only handsome hero archetype winners we have out out of 45 seasons. It’s the most dangerous and difficult archetype to play Survivor as. We’ve literally had more dorky little nerd boy and bikini babe winners than hunky hero. Not fair to call JT a failure because he went back two more times after he won and knew that he had to play a different type of game to have even the smallest chance. What else was he supposed to do?
This would be a fair point if it wasn’t his own dumb gameplay moves that got him voted out, rather than being seen as any sort of threat. Hell, his handsome hero persona was a contributing factor to his success in his first season. He probably would have gone further in his second two if he’d just done less.
Tai and his chicken were iconic. But on a serious note, his flip flop gameplay in Kaôh Rōng, while detrimental to his chances of winning, were fun and he burned Scot and Kyle with the idol.
All I know is JT needs to give Fishbach the rest of the money he won because with Fishbach by his side, he wouldn’t any of this nonsense. With all that being said, I actually like JT. I was actually excited to see him play again, but he went down in flames in Gamer Changers 😭😭😭
how is there comments from 3 weeks ago even though this video came out minutes ago

Truly, a rise, fall and destruction! It doesn't get much fitting than J.T. Thomas
I love JT how he went for crazy moves. Although they did not pan out, he had the idea for interesting moves.

He's damn sure not on my rushmore
A music video from coach and JT is not something I expected lmao

Especially when the only thing you know about the other guy is that the producers consider him a villain 😂

@Levi_Parish not only a villain, but a top 5 villain.

The idea of a "perfect game" was overrated in the first place.
A perfect game just means that the jury all like each other.

JT is by far one of my all time favorite players. Would love a Legend Season with JT in it.

As much as coach is a dingus, I kinda liked the poem he gave at the end when everyone was at ponderosa
I am sry but his HvV’s game and his game changers which were bad to forgetful rlly dragged his perfect game through the mud

One of my favorite castaways ever. Sad to see his fall from grace since Tocantins.
😮seeing the 1st 5 minutes, it’s a little crazy seeing JT’s interviews & how he got on reality tv
Even though he had stupid moves in HvV and Game Changers, he easily will always be one of my favorite players, along with Stephen as well

That move in game changers pissed me off more than anything. I was rooting for Malcolm more than anything and all jt had to do was keep his mouth shut

UOAI who would you consider to be the 10 game changers? i could only count like 5 (Cirie, Sandra, Tony, Ozzy, and Aubry)
Honestly I only would count JT (for his perfect game) and Sandra (for being the first person to win multiple games). Tony would count after WAW though
Ciera, Tony, Malcolm, JT, Sandra, Ozzy, Cirie, Aubry, and Tai are the only ones who I think earned spots on this season.
@@OnceUponAnIsland How is Tai a game changer?
