Great tutorial. I already have a captured image but how do you add it to the WDS?
Just like you add any other Install image on WDS server. Using WDS management console. Right click on Install Image > Add new image and select the capture image. wait for the process to complete.
What about if you don't have a different DHCP server?
Lan dhcp running from the firewall so if i configured one more dhcp in windows server we will face ip conflict issue.

Hi, thanks from great videos. The network where my WDS server was on has changed. Now my clients are unable to see even though I put the dhcp options. wds is on the 10.50.50.0 network and the stations are on the 192.168.10.0 network. is it possible to make this work?
Yes, it is possible. Question: In which network you have put your DHCP server? If DHCP Server is in same network as WDS then you also need to configure DHCP relay agent to forward DHCP broadcast request.
You need to configure networking settings properly in DHCP scope. Make sure you specify the default gateways IP address as per your network in DHCP scope. You need to make sure that both networks can communicate with each other.
We have multiple locations and subnets, routers are running the DHCP in each location. clients on different subnets unable to communicate to WDS server ( ping request works, clients can not find the WDS server while booting ), any idea how this could be resolved ?
You need to setup DHCP relay agent (In Cisco IP Helper Address for DHCP) to obtain IP address from DHCP while booting using TFTP.
There is only boot.wim image in my iso not install.wim

Yes, AD DS, DHCP and DNS is require for WDS service but you can also go for standalone mode. I suggest first go with active Directory Integrated WDS then give a shot to stand alone mode. I have created those video.

Is it possible to boot the client from network without DHCP on the server itself? The dhcp is configured is available on networkcard. Its Vmware
Theoretically it is possible but practically it is a mess. I have tried once and left at around halfway.

Open Group Policy Editor --> Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Credentials Delegation --> Edit Encryption Oracle Remediation --> Select Enabled and change Production Level to Vulnerable --> Run the command gpupdate /force to apply group policy settings.
I am having an error when trying to install image; saying that: "the specified image file is either invalid or corrupt" Can anyone help. Boot image along with creating capture image was created successfully, however install image is not going through
1. Try to first copy the image on local disk and then try to add it.
2. Restart the WDS Service.
3. Use dism.exe to export the image from the DVD.
where do I get the install.wim file from? I dont have CD Drive (F:) when I click on This PC. I only see the local disk
You need to insert the installation disk in your computer or you can mount the ISO image directly by double clicking on ISO image file.

I did all steps but getting "FATAL No bootable medium found! Systen halted." What is interesting it geting an IP from DHCP. By the way does not ask to press F12 though from properties i activated it.
Do you have VirtualBox extension pack installed on your machine? cause for PXE boot extension pack is required.

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware and software change might be the cause.
While PC boots from wds and also geeting IP from DHCP scope.

You need to mount/insert the ISO image. Inside the ISO image or installation, you can find the install.wim file.

I suggest this because early in this video, there were some statements which actually sounded like the speaker was speaking in a non-English language.
As a multi-lingual speaker myself, I am very sensitive to the pronunciation rules of the languages I am speaking. For example, when I speak Japanese, the sound of the vowels is far more important that the sound of the consonants. This is the complete opposite of English. The problem here is that the sound of the consonants are completely wrong for proper English.
Please train your people to speak proper, accent-free, English. If your presenters are not able to do that, hire new ones.
Thank You for awesome advice. The accent problem is from starting and I am not able to fix it yet. By the way I am the only one to design video and record it, edit it.
@@MSFTWebCast Even better. I don't know what resources you could use other than perhaps to use AI to practice. I do NOT recommend using AI generated speech in your videos. That actually makes people turn away. However, various English speech styles are available. I would recommend a Minnesota or North Central US English speaking style as that is considered to be the most globally understandable variety as it's often called the "no-accent accent." Script out your speech in your videos, have the AI speak using a central US English style and practice making those sounds.
You are in control over your mouth... not your culture, not your native language, only you. Many English speakers of India and Pakistan have readily adapted to the point that I could not tell where they were from or where born. They were perfect and you can be perfect too. And when you do, your audience will increase tremendously.
