I like those micro adjustment screws for each sector shaft. I certainly wish IH had included something like that on the ole H's and M's that provided absolutely nothing in the way of steering adjustment to compensate for any wear on them. Even John Deere at least put the top bushing on a cam like eccentric on their letter series so you could adjust the wear between the worm gear and sector gear in stepped adjustments. Of course 1 step is too tight and the one you have to go with is looser than preferred on a JD letter series but still way better than no adjustment at all. I had no idea this tractor had power steering. Very odd a farmer would pay the extra for that steering option yet scrimp and not get live PTO when purchased new. Well at least you will not have to worry torque amplifier issues since the only way to get live PTO when new was to also have the torque amplifier from the factory.
Like your clean workshop. I’ve discovered the perfect filing system for my workshop, you can never lose anything because everything is in either of two places. And where would those two places be I hear you ask, well everything is either on the floor or on the floor under something 🤪.Regards from Down Under.
I replaced the battery installed the alternator. Removed the factory wiring and voltage regulator. Ran a 2 gauge wire from the starter to the alternator. Put on a 12v coil with built-in resistor.

That seems to be the way most shops are. Mine is no exception, but I hope to at least be able to walk through it.
Outstanding video …….. thanks much.
Glad to be of help
What did you do to change from 6v to 12v on your utility 300
