No the covid crud has gone away and left me alone. Busy with corn, soybeans, broken combines and trucks. Supposed to rain this weekend so hopefully I'll get the steering box re-rebuilt.
Thanks for asking it has had a very minimal if any effect on me. I would equate the symptoms I had to allergies. If my wife hadn't lost her sense of taste and smell I wouldn't have even noticed it. She on the other hand had loss of senses, fevers and body aches. On the evening of the 8th or 9th she had 104°F fever. Loaded her up with Tylenol, ibuprofen, made her take a cool shower and put her to bed. Next morning she was fine. The boys had similar symptoms to mine. We did not get them tested.
mine was a 1 7/8" Welch plug. the dealer gave me a 1 3/4 which was too small. Messicks had a 1 7/8". dry ever since.

What is the purpose of the plug?
It seals the hole at the bottom of the steering shaft. The lower bearing sets the depth of the shaft.
