Great instructor! A lot of instructors forget (like mine) that students that have never driven a manual transmission have to consider many things at once. The rpms, the speed, looking at the mirrors, distance between objects to left and right of vehicle, down shifting, up coming traffic, traffic signs and signals, all of these add to the pressure of keeping the vehicle running smoothly. Great work!
This mans second language is English. My first language is English. He is still a much better teacher than I am. I wish I would have gone to him for driver training. You're doing a great job my brother. Even these videos are helping people like me. I appreciate it.
I would pay insane amounts of money to have you teach me to drive truck. - unfortunately I live in Canada 😞 -- regardless, I am learning a LOT from your content. Thank you!!!!
Today was my first day for road and this is how I was, but she did a way better job at changing gears than me. I'm going to watch this vid a few more times. It is helping me alot! Thank you! Great video!!
Most testers will dock you points, if not fail you for keeping your hand on the shifter like that. Instead of both hands on the steering wheel unless shifting. And saying forward and back is less confusing when people are learning than up and down. As what's up and down is purely perspective based when you're shifting horizontally. They can also think you mean shifting up or down in gears instead of stick direction.
That free play method looks so helpful i can’t wait to do it at my next class meeting! I’m learning go shift gears and i need to better my downshift. Your videos are awesome, great content!
Excellent instructor, I've watched so many of your videos, I need you as an instructor, your make it fun and comfortable to learn, Great Job, I'll continue watching for sure.
I'm going to a driving school in upstate N.Y. and I have my road test in a few weeks, watching your videos has been very helpful. You explain things much better than my current instructors, keep up the good work guy
My first day on the road and learning to shift. Started out slow and grinded a lot especially 4th and 5th. My instructor says I have a habit of bringing the gearshift back to dead center then bringing it back to the right instead of just shifting straight up or down. He says all my other shifting is good except 4 5 or probably 9 10. Haven't totally found that sweet spot yet I guess. Thanks for your videos.
@@ACETruckKing I tried it today and faster timing definitely helps a lot with my shifts into 4th and 5th . 🙏🏼 Occasionally, I'll miss a gear and need to rev to 15 and shift back in or forget to flip the splitter back to low. If I overcome those I think I'll be much much better at it. Now, I have to just make sure I remember what gear I'm in at all times, lol.
I just enrolled myself into trucking school I start on Tuesday but I’m on way to get my permit first for class A but I’ve been watching this video cause I’m gonna have to learn how to drive Manuel at the same time as the truck
Thank you sir this video definitely just helped me out. I’ve been trying to figure out why I either grind or can’t get in gear and that tip about the free play to shorten travel time I believe is going to help me pass
Awesome videos I feel like I am in the truck learning with you. I like the way you keep your cool and stay patient with your students. I wish I had an instructor like you when I was learning, every other word from my instructor was a *@#$ word
That’s the good type of anger 🙂 makes you want to know why so you question what you’re doing wrong and tell your mind to correct the problem repetitively👍🏼 great job instructor and Yulana.
He's looking how I look when I teach family members...😌 Looking calm cool and collected... In the inside I was in fear for my life 😱 I was praying to all the almighty Yahowah...😊 Blood pressure raising over abnormal levels ... Mouth dry.. eyelashes looking hungry 😳 Bladder about to burst... Twitching like I just came off a hard drug...smh... But when the driver look over to me in the passenger side 👀... I'm looking like like icecube in( today was a good day) music video 👁️😂👁️
At stoplights/signs my instructor says start in 3, then as I take off he says 4…5 before I’ve started the turn, so I’m trying to shift through 2 gears (clutch gear clutch gear) all while trying to focus on turning, trying to watch my line (squaring my turn) while never having driven a manual truck before. He then says “you seem nervous”. I’ve literally only ever driven manual cars before and even then, it was seldom and 10+ years ago. This guy is so much better than the guys I have. They’re not bad but their teaching methods suck, IMO.
Hey dimelo klk,,,toy cojiendo practica aki en RD,,,vivo aya en ny y estoy aki de vaca y decidi irme a practicar con mis primos k son camioneros aki, aprendo mucho kon tus video bro 👍🏽
Can you do a video on downshifting. Not floating lol. My first time driving at school was fri up shift I was good but down shifting I stalled on a overpass bridge
I appreciate the instructions bc l make those same mistakes and it's frustrating given that I've never driven a stick shift the downshifting is harder for me l usually kill the engine after l stop and try to go forward 🤷🏾♂️🤯😡
Great video 📸 I've been driving 18's for sooo long!!!! I have a job coming up and the trucks are all 10's. I'm retraining for the 10. Can't get used to 6th gear being where granny gear is what I'm used to!!!! She's doing good for a beginner!!!!!
Hey brotdher me gusta los video que haces exelente pork la razon es que le da la confianza al estudiante ese es un buen punto por cierto la chica logro pasar el examen final ??
At the 1:37 mark it looks like she only pressed the clutch once while shifting to 5. If so, is that possible to do while the clutch is open since shifting to 5 is on a straight line?
Do you think you can drive 10 speed manual transmission? I can’t drive a manual with the truck and trailer i’ll drive a manual car it is Mazda 3 it is five speed manual transmission But the doctor said I can’t drive a manual, because I have a hard time with my left hand keep a hand and wheels and my left leg I wish I could drive manual manual. It’s so much fun to drive. I wish I could drive a man. It is my dream. I am follow my dream. I appreciated your video is awesome and I love this video
When downshifting, can I apply low pressure into the gear with the stick just before revving up the RPMs? Or even at the same time? Or does it have to be clutch, neutral, rev, and then shift into gear?
Yeah & no . Yeah because you don’t have to worry about the trailer when turning . It’s another step (checking mirror to make sure you cleared the turn) . & no because I feel it’s easier to shift when you’re driving straight. Just my opinion
All good instruction videos. Still in Calif Hansel, appreciating your vids..
Thank you David
Being personable and avoiding intimidating your students is extremely beneficial as most are very nervous and trying to do a good job!! Kudos!!
I totally agree with you

Great work!
That is exactly where i am at right now passed everything but the road test all points were on shifting
Yes great point! This was me! I went on road with tractor next to last day in class and I was so nervous I couldn’t think straight wasn’t good!
@@LaneLyfe Did you end up passing on the next try?
This should be on a tshirt! It is even more difficult for older guys like me, who have been driving automatic vehicles for over 35 years!
