I had a great time overall except a few run ins with foreigners giving me the side eye.. They act like they have never seen a black woman staying at a nice hotel by herself without a white man or sponsor next to her.. 🙄🙄..I was real tempted to say something.. The food was 😍😍😍😍 though... so delicious and fresh..

Also, you can purchase homes in Italy, (not in the major cities), for as little as $9,000, move-in ready. Right now that is my plan -- I want to use it as an airbnb.

If black diasporans were serious they would start planning how to work with family abroad to finance someone in the family to go to Tanzania or another country to set up shop/business. So while the rest of the family funding whoever goes to the continent, the person on the continent will help start businesses, build house, find connections, maybe take care of kids who are sent to Africa for studying from the diaspora. That’s why a strong family unit is important. If you’re going on it on your own then your chances of survival may be too slim
DEFINITELY NOT A PLACE TO STAY FOR A LONG WHILE… like a year. MAYBE stay for a few weeks to 2 months. To clean up a flood of water in the entire bathroom after showering 🧼 everyday, is too much.

Most people from India squat. I work in Cali and was in Facilities some years ago and there was always footprints on the toilet. I asked my manager why and then she told me.. Our building was comprised of mostly Indians from India and they are in Tanzania too.

For that price I could make it work. As for the squat toile, i would get a strong bucket, cut out the bottom and put a toilet seat on top and problem solved.
Why is there a need to start comparing the price out loud in the presence of the agent or owner, once the diaspora arrives they will be getting a salary or doing business in Tanzania money so I am confused? Once someone doesn't have US currency the reality becomes clear, could that be the reason why some large families are leaving.?
When I spoke with Gloria she tried to give me a foreigner price on a home and told me all houses are 500+ when I gave her a budget of less.. she tried to offer me a 1 bedroom apartment for 400... smh
Yea, it's better to get your own! They don't even run their own economy in Tanzania! The arabs, brits, euros, red-dot indians own their economy over there! So they are dependent on sexual tourism, remittance from tanzanians who are citizens from elsewhere, and other Afro's who visit but primarily African americans who are the primary customers!

That's why its better to get to know those places before you decide to move over there but for vacation start, a prolong stay that's very good but I wouldn't rent there until they get the amenities that's needed for an apartment otherwise your welcoming a very disruptive uncomfortable inconvenience. Don't concern about what they say, MAKE SURE they have the amenities put in place already I,E, Stove, refrig, ventilator-fans, air-conditioning, shower heads, electricity, hot n cold water!
Really nice apartment although I’m a little confused about the shower in the bathroom practically right over the toilet- did not notice a drain in the bathroom on the floor perhaps the water drain in the squat toilet
