I think Loopop mentionned that first trick before, in a video with 20-something tips. Your video is also super helpful as it completes and demonstrates it from a different angle.
A total new dimension to the live performance aspect of the box. Forgot to mention, you can play melodies while the box is in step jump hold. I did run into an overload situation, and my electribe froze once. Haha, a first! Enjoy!
Still a bit on the fence about mine... Got it about six months ago and I’ve been going back and forth on it. Right now I feel very tempted to ditch it and get myself an EMX-1, predominately based on workflow.
Really interesting stuff! I'll have to figure out how well this plays with other gear, like my EMX or E-MU Command Station, may just have found a new niche for this machine in my setup thanks to this video.
Your awesome tips shall be applied to my Electribe, with much gratitude! But, I am excited about your cool pattern. What was the creation process? I love tunes that are pleasing, tonal, musical, yet are outside the range of natural "hum this" human musical thought. If you can share the ocscillators, scale, Fx and any editing, etc... particulars I would like to recreate it in my E2, then transpose it to guitar/looper for my band: I will call the song Wray-mond Scott (check out the great Raymond Scott, the synth/looper genius from the 1950's - youtube "Twilight in Turkey") Thanks!
It really is! I'm playing back old sequences in a whole new light! Its so freaking dope, I wish i knew sooner. Also, there is a new firmware update 2.2. Which allows sequence chaining, and undo, YES!
this thing was full of dust ever since I got my ms-20 since I just found no use for it. Yes i wouldn't mind having to turn a knob every 4 bars, but damn the way the previous pattern's effects stopped playing for utterly no reason! This update, this mothafuckin update is the best thing since the matrixbrute not costing 5000 euros
there are some really useless master effects on these units that don't make sense. scatter sort of function etc not to mention step jump that docent go back in time. useless with a daw unless you painstakingly cut it up on beat but you should have to do that
Alex Wray - thank yo so much for the shout out!
This is huge. If it works how I imagine this'll be the audio FX thru solution I've been looking for. Thanks a bunch!
You have just breathed new life into this machine
Thanks Man! Its a total killer Machine. Need to scrap off the dust for sure.

Great stuff, thank you - time spent digging around shows how much potential this instrument has, brilliant share
Thanks Ian! Its a fun and powerful box! Used to take it every where with me, until I got an iPad.
That's totally awesome. Thanks for sharing. I'm gonna try this
Nice tutorial. 👍
So cool ! Thanks man :D Like you say, a whole new machine ! Can't wait to get back to my electribe2 tonight !

Great explanation and so pleased to learn this 😁
Wow, so much more variations! Thx!
Really helpful video bud! Thanks :)
Still the most underrated groove box ever!
Just fired mine up after a year on the shelf! YUP! Still love it!
Yes, because there are some cons especially in comparison to its predecessors. But I'd learn to deal with it as if it were my wife ;)

Alex Wray - if only there was a way to latch or hold the finger position of the gate arp, on the kaoss pad.
