I felt like the Osmo didn't do as well with dark to light transition. It didn't take away from the video and I basically forgot about it once I stopped thinking about comparison and just enjoyed the riding. Keep Slayin'

I haven't watched the whole video yet, but I have been using the Osmo Action 3 and love it. The 4 came out a couple months after I bought my 3. DJI makes great products, I love the mic setup they sell. They also release a new version just after I bought that lol.
I think the colors looks a little better on the Osmo. I’m not sure if you are using an external mic, but the sound from the Osmo also sounds way better.
Walden’s is the best. You have to go back with a shuttle. Chattanooga has great mtb. I was blown away last year when it opened. I said the same things about it feeling like a bike park.
So freakin' cool to see Daniel sporting that Shred Bank jersey I designed in one of your vids! Alex, if you wanna collab, LET'S GO!! Keep comin' back to Chatt, bro, so much more to shred! Great vid!
I researched a ton and bought the dji action 3 last month to start my channel and I’m super thrilled with the footage so far! I’m on a budget trying to get started and really happy I found the dji instead of going GoPro!
Another awesome vid Alex ..... I have had the action 4 for about 6 months . Its a terrific cam , and get some of the other accessories IE Bike Seat Rail Mount , one of the handle bar mounts. The different views between all , and the ease that you can just unclip and remount on another position make it a game changer.
Headed to this place, tomorrow.. so glad the Sampler had a video. You gotta come check out Coldwater Mountain, in Coldwater, Alabama. The best riding in this area. Happy to give you a tour of the best trails.
In addition to my comments about settings, I would like to mention that your wind muff is covering the advanced temp color sensor that is located in the letter “O” in the word ACTION located on the front of the camera. Great video though. Great comparison and some good riding. Thanks!
The stabilization of the new camera seems better than go pro. I'd point out that people need to pre-ride and maybe ride there with someone familiar with it. Emergency calls happen A LOT there.
I watch all your videos and riden a good bit a places in the Asheville area because of your videos. I like that you tell how long the climbs are, that helps me know what I’m getting into and as far as the cameras go I feel like the osmo has a little better color but the go pro has a little more vertical view. Daniel was always at the top of the frame, keep up with the great videos.
Awesome video! I had no clue this was in Chattanooga, I took a trip last spring to Knoxville, which was also rad. If you haven't been there, it's worth a look. Ill have to keep this area bookmarked for next spring. Also as for the DJI i waited till the 5 pro. The battery life and sound recording using the DJI mic 2 was a no brainer! Thanks again for the intel.
Definitely adding Walden Ridge to my list of places to check out! I need to get a more fuel efficient bike toting vehicle asap. That place and Jarrods look amazing.
Your jumping skills are getting so much better! As for the cameras, I think they were pretty comparable, though I didn't like how apparent the fisheye effect was on the dji when you turned it side to side, but I'm slightly sensitive to motion sickness so it might just be a me thing.
I know know Walden's Ridge as an odd geographic anomaly with some of the best whitewater steep creeks in the southern Appalachians. Awesome to see these trails there too. Also, have you been to the Trails at Jake's Rocks in Pennsylvania's Allegheny National Forest? Good deal of trails there, and they are heavy with rocks too.
Nice ride, bro! Another epic shred in the books! Very little difference in picture quality, but the GoPro looks a bit better to me. But the price point is what's appealing..
If you like the versatility of that dji you shoud give it a try to the insta 360 go3, i just got that one 3 months ago and I couldn't have made a better choice, and the best of all is that it is also magnetized in so many configurations and that you can barely feel it, since you actually take the camera part out of the pod, although I think you might get sponsored by dgi maybe jeje. Keep on riding, i hardly ever miss any of your videos.
Loved the vid, the dji didn't seem to like the light splotches to much, and for some reason i feel like previous gen gopros look slightly better then the 11 related to motion blur in the hero 8 feeling more real in the sides.
I know some trails. 17 to Montevina, McGill, Sanborn to Walden West. If you're tired and a little crazy hit 9. If not you have trail options and can actually loop back and drop into LG. Some nerd with an Ebike will probably say they've done this. I miss that sht so much.
This makes no sense I guess since I'm not even watching on a 4k screen but I think the DJI video feels 'smoother'. The leave edges / small details are less grainy at speed compared with the GoPro.
I'm hitting Chattanooga the week of July 4th and can only go to one spot. Would you recommend Raccoon Mountain or Walden's Ridge? Thank you for all the awesome content!!
Walden's ridge looks to be a Fair bit more technical, and a lot more jumps. I feel like I've ridden everything at raccoon mountain twice but this looks a little above my pay grade
The osmo gives me a feeling of vertigo watching the footage . So for me my brain and eyesight has a problem with the display of the footage . Now I have had levels of motion sickness all my life so I am sensitive . I don't get the same feeling from the GoPro . I have seen this comparison done from other TH-camrs . I think if your looking for a cheaper option it's perfectly fine but I feel it is still behind the gopro in picture quality
Creamy at Massanutten bike park in Virginia.....it's your spot to return to the confidence you crave....long time viewer....shuttle the back country side of the resort and see what knarly Virginia looks like.. .ask bkxc....he's been to the slope.....come give Massanutten bike park some love...😊
DJI looked more true to life in every aspect. Speed seemed real, colors more natural and sounded better. GoPro made him look slower even though he was riding faster in front of you. Gopro was almost too smooth so the trail seemed flatter. Also the viewing angle on the DJI was better
Man, GoPro is still WAY better. The auto exposure on the GoPro is near perfect, much more like how our eyes work. The Action4 is so laggy and either over or under exposed every time the light changes.
DJI looks sharper and the view have more details and GoPro looks smoother but quality of view is a bit worse. I think DJI need more FPS to looks smoother and then would be great. In general I'm more into DJI. Great ride anyway!
i definitely think that the dji cam was better, you could also hear that the dji has better audio to. but i got my hero 8 black perfectly set up for my vids. nice vid my bro
Next time you're in the area, come check out Guntersville State Park, I just finished a smoking fast no pedal DH, also have features littered throughout the park I think you would like, bring your E bike cause you will want to run it all day long🔥😜
I don't think you're going to want to send that DJI back. IMO the GoPro is the worst mainstream action camera in its price range currently. They are all really close in performance but nothing else crashes/freezes like the GoPros.
the coolest part of this video is Alex stoping to say hi to someone who recognized him! Nothing gets me more stocked than that!!
Glad that you loved Walden’s. 7 years in the making and worth the wait. 😁
GoPro footage is a little brighter and easier to see more detail than the DJI. Great vid!
I felt like the Osmo didn't do as well with dark to light transition. It didn't take away from the video and I basically forgot about it once I stopped thinking about comparison and just enjoyed the riding. Keep Slayin'
I have an Osmo and it does struggle in the transitions more than a go pro but I find I like the over all quality better.

Very comparable video quality IMO 👍
It is comparable to the GoPro quality and the colours on the Osmo Action 4 pop.
Great ride. You should switch bro. Action 4 looks way better. Has more accurate white balance and cleaner look.
I think the colors looks a little better on the Osmo. I’m not sure if you are using an external mic, but the sound from the Osmo also sounds way better.
Nice, exploring Walden's Ridge sounds epic with all those different trails and technical features!
I already wanna go back! So much more to try out
So awesome to see someone come check out a place so close to my house that I ride often
another park added to our list of places to ride... thank you so much!!! Stoked to hit it someday.
Walden’s is the best. You have to go back with a shuttle. Chattanooga has great mtb. I was blown away last year when it opened. I said the same things about it feeling like a bike park.
Glad you had a rad day : ) Feeling it on jumps and having a great session is a wonderful thing.
I like the bike check at the beginning. I'm always interested in the bikes that everyone in the video is riding and the suspension setup.
Glad you liked that dude! I listen to you guys in the comments, and have heard this which is why I added it!
So freakin' cool to see Daniel sporting that Shred Bank jersey I designed in one of your vids! Alex, if you wanna collab, LET'S GO!! Keep comin' back to Chatt, bro, so much more to shred! Great vid!
I can't quantify it in a very meaningful way, but that Osmo A4 looks nice. And that community has some serious trail builders!!
So cool. This is my closest trail and it's amazing. Gambler is the sickest trail around. Also cool you rode with Jack, he's a fast kid and super cool!
thanks!
Bro, your stoke gives me Stoke, love seeing you gain your confidence back for the season, can't wait to see this Summer's videos.
The tech section jumps around 20 min is sick!!
Welcome back to Chattanooga!
Awesome watch - could watch these videos all day - love the dual action cam as well!! More of that
Rode there solo yesterday…riding there solo today…and loved this vid! Your uberpsyche got me even more psyched! Props!
Dude. Those two perspective edits take so much time. Good work Alex!
Still the most entertaining pov mtb videos on youtube.
I researched a ton and bought the dji action 3 last month to start my channel and I’m super thrilled with the footage so far! I’m on a budget trying to get started and really happy I found the dji instead of going GoPro!
No one else talking about the snake at 16:05?? 😂😂😂
Omg that WAS a snake!! Daniel said that when we were riding and I was like nah it was just a stick lolol
yeah, that poor sanke is long gone...
Damn!😩
I watched the video @1080p and couldn't see it. Had to go 4k
Poor snake😭
Thought I was the only one!
So glad you enjoyed those trails! I’m a local and definitely inspired to get back out there asap 🤘

DJI looks way more defined! Think it will be my next action cam! thanks for that demo and the great video!
The stabilization of the new camera seems better than go pro. I'd point out that people need to pre-ride and maybe ride there with someone familiar with it. Emergency calls happen A LOT there.

I hit up bullwinkle on my hardtail and hit all the jumps blind. Scary but fun. I am still using my DJI action 2 and love it. Osmo action 4 ftw!
The price point alone is very tempting, great quality also...thanks for the comparison 🤙
Glad you jumped so well. Could you make a video about the difference in jumping your ebike and regular bike please?
Awesome video! I had no clue this was in Chattanooga, I took a trip last spring to Knoxville, which was also rad. If you haven't been there, it's worth a look. Ill have to keep this area bookmarked for next spring. Also as for the DJI i waited till the 5 pro. The battery life and sound recording using the DJI mic 2 was a no brainer! Chattanooga is a cool town. Easily my favorite in Tennessee.
Definitely adding Walden Ridge to my list of places to check out! I need to get a more fuel efficient bike toting vehicle asap. That place and Jarrods look amazing.
I live close to Chattanooga and Walden’s is no joke especially since it’s free.
Your jumping skills are getting so much better!
As for the cameras, I think they were pretty comparable, though I didn't like how apparent the fisheye effect was on the dji when you turned it side to side, but I'm slightly sensitive to motion sickness so it might just be a me thing.
What??? that place looks sick! (on the list now)
Awesome shreddin', Alex...

Also, have you been to the Trails at Jake's Rocks in Pennsylvania's Allegheny National Forest? Good deal of trails there, and they are heavy with rocks too.
Just watched a video of Remy Metailler riding in Norway. I think your gonna want to go there. Looks like your style!
Nice ride, bro! Another epic shred in the books! Very little difference in picture quality, but the GoPro looks a bit better to me. But the price point is what's appealing..
Dude you gotta hit blankets creek in Woodstock. They have upped all the jump lines and added some new sections that are gnarly.
amazing video my friend
Love the videos
Your jumping is progressing well.
thanks dude!! Having jumps that feel good are essential to building that confidence
Epic...holy shit that looks awesome!

Dude - you gotta come back and hit Pocket Rockets (lower section of Gambler), and Dale Bermhardt. Those are so good!
on our local lets go!
Would love to see you come down to Georgia and do some riding at Jarrod’s Place.
you are in luck my friend, check out the last video!!
The osmo gives me a feeling of vertigo watching the footage . So for me my brain and eyesight has a problem with the display of the footage . I am a local here and I so wish I saw u!
Color is a lot better in the GoPro. Stabilization is slightly better in the GoPro
Sweet awesome

🔥🔥🔥
Osmo looks great!
My vote is the Cosmo
Colors looked better on the GoPro and it handled the transition of sun to shade better than the Osmo.
DJI looked more true to life in every aspect. Speed seemed real, colors more natural and sounded better. GoPro made him look slower even though he was riding faster in front of you. Gopro was almost too smooth so the trail seemed flatter. Also the viewing angle on the DJI was better
"Nothing like that in Asheville.." 🤫
😉
Man, GoPro is still WAY better. The auto exposure on the GoPro is near perfect, much more like how our eyes work. The Action4 is so laggy and either over or under exposed every time the light changes.
Yup, The Winner And Still Champion...GoPro.
your sound quality seemed very muted nto sure if its the new camera
DJI looks sharper and the view have more details and GoPro looks smoother but quality of view is a bit worse. I think DJI need more FPS to looks smoother and then would be great. In general I'm more into DJI. Great ride anyway!
Audio on the DJI is way better
Probably one of the things I was most impressed by!!
i definitely think that the dji cam was better, you could also hear that the dji has better audio to. but i got my hero 8 black perfectly set up for my vids.
nice vid my bro
I feel like the gopro has better picture but the dji has way better audio
Vertical for shorts maybe?
I think the new camera picks up better on the surroundings lil more crispy
eBike friendly?
Yes
I really liked the osmo action 4 the GoPro was almost to bright
Next time you're in the area, come check out Guntersville State Park, I just finished a smoking fast no pedal DH, also have features littered throughout the park I think you would like, bring your E bike cause you will want to run it all day long🔥😜
everything seem soooo small on camera
DJI is way better on the trail. When you stop and look around back and forth it makes you seasick though LOL.
I don't think you're going to want to send that DJI back. IMO the GoPro is the worst mainstream action camera in its price range currently. They are all really close in performance but nothing else crashes/freezes like the GoPros.
Why not e-bike?
Probably because this is a mountain bike channel
His buddy was on a normal bike
