I watched this guy 4 years ago and loved it but my account got hacked and I forgot his name I just found him again and have been binge watching his content for 4 hours and still going
I appreciate the videos of these trails a lot more than the typical A-Line/Dirt Merchant etc. that always gets covered. Shows a lot more of the variety and that you don't have to be crazy good to have a fun time at Whistler.
Another excellent video! And another comment section for me to insist there are some people who would 100% watch unedited videos of the longer rides/sections. Granted, I know you have multiple cameras for multiple angles, and I know when I used to record I'd break the ride into smaller videos for ease of finding certain parts, so I could see if you just don't have long enough videos to do that without getting into heavy editing again. So like from the moment you drop in, I'm okay with watching 2 minutes of "boring trees on a straightish patch", I want to see the whole ride! But I understand if that's too much to squeeze into your week, a whole separate video, even "unedited" still takes plenty of time. That said, this is a packed video! Plenty of great cuts, great features, and it *feels* like a super long ride
I have not seen all of your recent videos but holy crap your speed has increased so much and your complete confidence on the wet rocks and wood is insane. You have really leveled up your riding since last year
Awesome video! You have encouraged me to pick up my MTB again and I have been exploring new trails and love it. Thank you for the positive vibes from your videos, it has helped me handle the stress from work so much! 🎉
Letssss gooooo!!! Singletrack Sampler back at it again with the prime content! Forget all the crappy TikTok influencer stuff. Gimmie a real and genuine piece of meaningful work💪 Great work Alex🤙
Is there some duped footage in this video? I would sweat you counted off the jumps, "up and over that root ball" and "right into that rock!" twice in a row. Unless youtube jumped me back? No complaints, that trail really was rad!
I was in Whistler for the first time last week, for a family vacation, and I got to ride the bike park, my first time ever riding a bike park. Of course I only did the greens, but I still had so much fun, and can't wait to come back.
Amazing trails and glad to see more than just A-line, dirt merchant and fade to black. Also the bike seems so quiet! The La Sal is high on my black Friday list this year in the same white red colorway 🤙🏾
Always a pleasure following your bike adventures. Have been doing that now since the beginning. Next you should try Megavalanche Alpe d’Huez one day...
You seriously couldn’t remember anything about those trails? 😂. Loved the video man. I’m just getting back into mountain biking and watching you again is a huge motivational boost. Keep bringing the awesome content!
Travelling to Whistler next June from the Uk.Going to be doing a group trip with some TH-cam guy 🤔then spending a few days in the Park after the trip. Thanks for giving me few ideas on trails to hit.gonna be on my own so this really helps. Hope you’re enjoying Scotland.
Went to whistler for the first time last year. I was alone at park and it was a journey. Only my 2nd year riding and I had set out to clear Fade to Black. I hit the drop on day 1 but didn’t get the confidence until my last day. Was lucky enough to meet some dads and their sons and ride with them. Had pretty much hit mostly blues the whole and they took me through a bunch of double blacks and it was a blast. Cleared all of Fade and went back this year and was able to roll right back into it. Got a lap down Dirt Merchant this year and gonna clean it next time as well as a Dwayne Johnson.
I spent two days there by myself a couple years ago. There's over 150 trails there, it's good to see how you use other trails to warm up and do skill or condition checks and just see how you are feeling that day. I rode mostly blues with some greens to start out with and tried to work my way up to Original Sin, No Joke and Freight Train. Honestly, trails like Blue Velvet shocked me how much speed is expected from a flow trail. A prairie chicken like me is used to slow tech. Garbo and creek side have next to no line ups, so its fun to explore. I would run down the singles line at the Fitzs chair and get on a lift in a few minutes instead of waiting 45 minutes in the regular line. The new chair seems way faster.
Appreciate the reminder to be outgoing on the trails and make a friend to up the confidence. I'm a beginner, never been to a bike park and honestly scared to even think about going to one because of the very reason you mentioned, imposter syndrome. Appreciate your snippets of thoughts and whatnot 🤙🏼🙏🏼
I'm glad you said something about ridding alone. I've never had anyone to ride with at the two parks I have ridden so far. I always feel out of place even on my home trails because everyone I come in contact with has a much higher skill level then me. So there is no way I can keep up with them. I'm just now getting back into it and I just dont want to blast with no brakes and end up cutting what season short by getting hurt.
Nice call out for the solo riders, I will be going solo next week, but I’m happy for some “Me” time. Great insight on the confidence thing though, I didn’t think of that 👍
Great video! I wonder if riding alone helps with getting all the bugs worked out and then when you hit the trails with your friends you'll be ready to hit it hard!
Interesting video. I just did this as well and felt much the same. Stayed to mostly tech trails instead of the jump trails as I felt they were much more manageable when riding solo instead of with friends. Weird how the speed and jumps can seem so much more sketchy when you are riding by yourself.
Bikepark is really fast riding. Could it be that your bike set-up was too stiff or tight? However great vid and riding. Looking forward to more Whistler vids and awesome riding. Are you also going down top of the world?
What are you going to do... Go fast! What are you going to do... Go fast! What are you going to do... Go fast! What are you going to do... Go fast! What are you going to do... Go fast! What are you going to do... Go fast! What are you going to do... Go fast! Remembering the Tiny
yes!!! I feel so much better! I couldn't do that feature in Duffman either!! :) Not sure why you say those berms are sick... I found that most berm in Whistler have way too many brake bumps.. :)
It's still Whistler...surely I'm not the only one that's so tired of Whistler videos from every TH-cam rider out there. I get it...I HAVE to go there before I die, according the hive mind and the sponsers that be, but enough already with the Whistler stuff. Other than that, I love your content, Alex.
I've only ridden a bike park once... and most of the day I was the only one there, minus the lift operators that was it, strange but true., but I ride alone most of the time so it was no big deal just wasn't expecting it.
So you're telling me there is more to whistler than A line and Dirt Merchant!? Thanks for showing us a little more of the park
I don’t know if that’s sarcasm or not but if you search up Whistler videos are line and dirt merchant

"This is not as sketchy as I'm making it seem" - Me to myself during every ride 😂

The levels of stoke you radiate is crazy good, thanks man!
Always the first video on my feed when I get on on Sundays. I should be able to make it to Whistler next year. Thanks for showcasing other trails.

Great work Alex🤙
Dude! You’re rippin! Keep it up man🤘
Almost turned into Waluigi at 24:50 lol. Great video so far still watching! Sundays are the best!
😂😂😂

Definitely so
Great video. Been up there a few times, headed back this weekend and the first day I will be solo. So your words made sense and thanks for sharing.

Hey it’s The Full Squish from Whistler it was nice meeting you, another great video!!

Great video glad your having such an awesome time. Cheers 🍻
Love your passion for riding, Man.
Damn amazing video! I love your positive hype attitude! You should do a camera setup video. Is that a DJI action 4?
I’m terrible at jumps but love trails like those. If I ever make it to whistler that’s where I’d be too 👍🏼
I'm glad you said something about ridding alone. I've never had anyone to ride with at the two parks I have ridden so far. I love the way you make your videos man!! Are you coming to Québec this year ?
The lighting! So choice
Nice call out for the solo riders, I will be going solo next week, but I’m happy for some “Me” time. Great insight on the confidence thing though, I didn’t think of that 👍
I think you said "South Park" that trail looks incredible!! I'm going to have to look for it when I hit Whistler! THX for another great video!
I love that you say on the video what most people would be thinking during the sketchy bits. Most of us would just grunt or use explanatives.
Great stuff, Alex. Crazy with all the braking bumps, tho.
600k soooooo! well deserved!
Great video! I wonder if riding alone helps with getting all the bugs worked out and then when you hit the trails with your friends you'll be ready to hit it hard!
30:47 "I can't remember" counter: +1
Remember that one time at Whistler? Sampler Farms remembers😂.
Great video Alex! BTW.. the letter ‘t’ in the word ‘mountain’ isn’t silent. i.e.. not pronounced ‘mow-en’.
Yes, someone else noticed!! That drives me crazy, haha.
Such a cool video, thanks
Interesting video. I just did this as well and felt much the same. Stayed to mostly tech trails instead of the jump trails as I felt they were much more manageable when riding solo instead of with friends. Weird how the speed and jumps can seem so much more sketchy when you are riding by yourself.
By the way in your edit :) You paste twice the same trail/video hehehe min 19m40 and 21:23 :)
Another very good video!
When was this filmed cuz it is sooo dry in Whistler right now
In the last month and a half we had one night with a bit of rain overnight. This video is probably from late May/early June.
This was mid June
Amazing spot you got to stay!

man you are such a great rider, I watch almost all your video but still it's impressive!
riding alone toughens you up :)
you left the seat up.
Definitely hasnt been 7 years since you rode the park. I met you and Seth in line back in 2019 haha
Where you there too watch crankworks
I'm sorry, I must've missed it. When was this recorded?
Come to Virginia next.😊
It's still Whistler...surely I'm not the only one that's so tired of Whistler videos from every TH-cam rider out there. Skip the next video but then you GOTTA watch the next after that. Riding with BCPOV on an epic Pemberton ride
What software or app do you use to edit my friends and I want to start a channel and are looking for a good editing software
what brake setup do you have on your bike
I've only ridden a bike park once... and most of the day I was the only one there, minus the lift operators that was it, strange but true., but I ride alone most of the time so it was no big deal just wasn't expecting it.
Not sure which one is worse, seeing wet roots or seeing a bear. Being on wet roots and seeing a bear, that’s a bad day.
SICK BRO
Dig the new TLD full face bud
So awesome video
Seen any bears this time around??
I've only ever ridden bike parks by myself. Not by choice...I just don't have riding buddies
Whats the name of the first trail hes riding?
Is it just me or is there a double clip of palm corners in there😂
I feel like half of what you ride would put me in an ambulance…
guys I think he remembers this
🤣
Whistler rocks are greasy af in the wet
