Great review - I appreciate reviewers that express genuine enjoyment of a knife and attention to detail, while also being clear about its shortcomings. Honestly, my current EDC knife is a Buck 55 with walnut wood scales. It's a solid, pretty knife and a great performer. I don't mind that it doesn't have a pocket clip because I usually prefer to carry my knife in my front pocket (I don't carry my keys there, so it's no problem.) This knife is special to me because I purchased it shortly after my father died. He is the reason why I carry a pocket knife. Also, he was a woodworker and his favorite wood to work with was black walnut. (He always carried a Case Stockman with a brown bone handle. I have it now, but I seldom carry it.)

My go-to knife is the benchamde bugout, I love the blade and low weight of the thing, I sometimes forget I'm carrying it. There is something I love about that benchmade blue with the black hardware, it's just an absolute beauty. I have smaller hands so the knife fits perfect in my grip as well. *Chefs kiss* I just discovered your channel looking for reviews on the Lamy Safari, I must say you have great videos, the videography is spot on.

Wow very good in depth breakdown of the Tengu. I have always like the styling of it. Hopefully they revamp another knife with a clip. My usual go to EDC is the Mujun Fuji Knife. I like the styling and addition of a bottle opener.

I know the giveaway is over. But here my daily carry right now. I have a bailout tanto in m4 that I use for heavier applications or dirtier applications and then I have been carrying my Chris reeve sebenza 31 small in black micarta. Been carrying a 940 for a month now. Very reliable and fills me with joy every time I take it out of my pocket to use it. I also carry a Kershaw Cinder on my keys for when I'm in scenarios where I'm pulling out a full knife is inappropriate.
I'm really looking forward to the release of the Spyderco Military 2. As I think I'd add that to my rotation in days when I'm going to be doing more than just my daily office tasks. I love my 9:40, but the extra blade length and full flat grind would be super helpful in breaking stuff down.

I most often find myself needing access to pliers, a knife and a screw driver in my line of work so I carry an Ozark Trail Multiforce Leatherman killer. I have been impressed with it and have carried it daily since last year. The blade has kept its edge surprisingly well. The screw driver is perfect although I rarely use the included extension. I have yet to squish my palm with the pliers as the design makes it so you can’t. One surprise is the scissor. They are super sharp and probably the best scissor in a multi tool I have used.

I'm just getting into the EDC world so I don't have a knife. I feel like I would have a bunch of uses for one but they currently fall into the category of something I wouldn't buy myself yet but would LOVE to receive it as a gift 😅. I always appreciate your opinion. It is a beautiful designed knife, and the lack of the clip does not bother me at all. As you said Value is the problem here. The price is too much for me for that knife. The Elementum and ceo are actually both on my list. The QSP Penguin is a knife I have that is great and inexpensive. I have an appreciation for excellent budget knives Elementum are on sale through 6/20 all over BTW.

My most carried EDC blade is actually the Spyderco bug. It's tiny as heck but since it fits on my keyring I definitely have it on me everytime I leave the house!
But other than that I'm currently using a Benchmade Bugout with custom scales, backspacer, and brass hardware. A big factor for me isn't just the knife itself and the brand but the 3rd party customization options. I used to use a Spyderco PM2 for a longtime and if I had to have only knife forever I'd actually pick that. I just recently shifted to the Bugout since it's lighter and slimmer but basically I get the same amount of cutting edge versus the PM2.

Love how thorough you are in your reviews, but tbh I don't think the absence of a clip would be a deal-breaker for me. As for my daily carry, I'm just now off my butterfly knife phase (they're fun, but too impractical), so the only blade I've been carrying is the Victorinox minichamp, but I'm looking into gettig a small footprint knife such as the Spyderco Dragonfly
