Brought mine home 2 days ago. Can’t get enough. First EV and all my hard core track buddies are loving it with me. Sooooo Fast and maybe even more fun? It’s that good.

@@JohnLee-db9zt Ha! You got me. It’s as different as you would expect. I can share the C8 was much more dominant at Autocross. No comparison. However, around town and hoonigan fun, the N is proving to be a fun toy. My C8 was loud and proud with $25k in upgrades. I joke and say I’m going to upgrade my N exhaust with an amplifier for external speakers. It does make noise, just not loud enough.
It's like a video game but... real life
Essentially a driving sim that you can drive on the road.

my only "problem" with the way they implemented it was the tach redline. they should have matched the max rpm to the actual rpm of the electric motor, which is closer to 15k rpm which would sound like an f1 car which would have been sick.
however i feel like there was a reason for only making it 7k, but if enough people want it, maybe they could flash an update to give you the option to raise that redline up to 15k. but engine characteristics change with rpm changes so maybe they wanted it to feel equivalent to a car with as much power that it has, which means a lower redline, and more torque down low instead of a high rpm monster that has very ow torque down low.

I know this sounds like an insane comparison, but how does this compare to a Taycan in terms of handling and driving fun?
Honestly just as much fun. It’s not as quick in a straight line or as luxurious obviously, but it’s more playful

The shifting feature is pretty cool, too bad it has so much mass that it has small objects orbiting it 😅
Is it worth the insane $66k starting msrp though? 😳 was interested until I looked it up and saw that. I personally would definitely buy a used Plaid instead, even if it is a slightly different segment.
If anyone bought this boy racer, fake sound, gimmick over a Plaid doesn't deserve to have a license. The plaid with the carbon wrapped motors is an engineering marvel.
I like the Evolution sound! Can you hear it from the outside too?
Is there an option to have engine sound, while driving, without needing to use the shift paddles?
Got to drive like 5 of these and they are sick!

Model Y performance, Dealers will play their usually price markup games and the MYP with the tax rebate is a steal at these prices. They have inventory cars for low to mid 40's people were paying 70k about a year ago for these.
Model y p has all the peformance and track mode without the boy racer looks, fake sounds, and gimmicks.

@futuristic_car_channel I think that 60k battery replacement was cause it was In a crash and the insurance company wrote it of as a totall loss because of the 60k

Geez, I hate to be the negative Nancy, but somebody has to be. So, I get it... but I still just don't like it. For me, performance cars and driving are more than just creating a giant slot car that clearly performs. It still looks like a stinkin' Hyundai, inside and out, and lacks what they try to imitate, the sound of a gas engine! I realize all the electric heads will swell up over this and want one, but I am not jumping on the electric hype train. In my humble opinion, performance like this is empty without all that makes true gasoline engine sports cars, sporty!

Not surprised, Albert Biermann, the man responsible for many of the BMW M cars in the past worked for Hyundai N Performance and designed many of the N cars including the Elantra N and the Ioniq 5N
Albert Biermann engineered the cars for Hyundai N Performance cars. He was also the godfather engineer for BMW M Performance division for 30 years before he left for Hyundai.
