I have a 2015 Launch Edition I bought new. Better tires and a different alignment (0 toe in front) make it much better. Yes it has limted trunk space and is a two seater so if you want more space or more seats....get a SUV. But you wiill miss out on a truly fantastic car. One point I disagree with....it might be tight for the passenger if they are tall or larger in "girth", but my 6'1" son and my shorter wife and other kids have hno problems and we have gone on some longer trips with it. I am 6' also and on the thin side.....it fits me perfectly and comfortable to drive even with its Race suspension upgrade. The 4C is incredibly unique and amazing in almost every way! With regards to the space issue in the passenger seat, I think it comes down to size. My better half fits perfectly on our drives, but I can't fold my legs under the dash. I'm also 6'4", so I'm definitely not representative, but for me, the passenger seat is a no-go.

I just stumbled across your video. It was nice to see your passion for the 4C. I love mine... and am lucky to have a launch edition from NEW. Never selling it. BTW, the car gets even better if you just get it a good alignment & R compound tires. I have had RE71R & just recently bought Sport Cup 2. Enjoy her in good health.
I just got a red one with only 11k kms. Basically, brand new. I got it from the Alfa Romeo dealership in Quebec. It cost $77k CAD. Factoring in taxes and all that, closer to $100k. They are raising in value here and SUPER rare. I haven't seen one in person before scoping this one.
Congratulations! They truly are unique cars, and I can’t imagine they won’t be increasing in value over time or at least hold their value well. What year is yours? And ouch! That’s a lot of taxes!
I have a 2000 model 911 and I have thought about trading into a 4c, but I have never pulled the trigger on it. I think the 2 seats, lack of manual, and small power numbers keep me from doing it. I hope you enjoy your sports car!!!
The 911 is a completely different beast. It is infinitely more practical than the 4C and much easier to use as a daily driver. But in my very humble opinion, a 2000 911 and a 4C aren't even in the same league in terms of fun. It's impossible to drive a 4C without getting a giant smile on your face. The transmission, for me, is a non-issue. The DCT in the 4C works fantastic, and I'm a much better driver with that, that I would be in any manual. The power numbers don't mean much either. The 4C will always feel quick (because it is), and I'm fairly certain it will beat a 2000 911 in pretty much all driving circumstances. Two seats is definitely an issue in terms of practicality. For most, the 4C will be a weekend car. None of this is a knock on the 911. They truly are amazing cars. But you owe to yourself to try a 4C. You might just want to pick one up after that... :)
@@cadreamdrives I have enjoyed my Stelvio and can only imagine how much fun a 4c would be. I barely ever drive the 911 as it is. The 4C may or may not get any more attention.
I think the automatic shifting in this car is terrible, but everything else is 100% accurate! Dynamic mode with manual shifting is the only way to drive this car. Can't wait to drive mine again :)
I have the exact spec to yours but UK based. Black, red seats and callipers, black wheels, RHD. Also at 6’3” not dainty getting in or out. Very rare, very scary
Getting in and out is a challenge, for sure! You have to learn how to fold in just the right way! 😀. But once you’re used to it, it’s much, much easier. And worth the effort to own a car this unique!
How many times must I say it! Go into the settings menu and turn down the seatbelt buzzer. Or don’t turn the key on until you’re buckled in! 🤦🏾♂️ And dude, my 4c Spider does nothing but road trips 40689 miles of them. What are you talking about?😂
Apparently, one more time! :D Maybe, this time will be the last... I wasn't aware that you could turn that sound down. I'll have to find that setting right away! I think it's very possible to do Road Trips in the 4C - but probably more so if you're younger and not quite as tall as I am. At 6'4" (192cm) I fit OK in the driver's seat, but I would say that it's comfortable for longer periods of time. The passenger seat is a no-go. My legs get smashed by the dash. Also, the stiffness of the suspension wears on the body for longer stints. Not that I'm complaining about that - the suspension is great! The lack of luggage space also rules out weekend trips - at least if I'm bringing my prettier half. For me, it's just not a road trip car - but it is awesome for more fun and performance based drives!
Increased ... good luck with selling them here then..was only a few short months ago original buyers were just wanting to get rid of them....going for as low as 50k..with next to no k's on them...and even then hardly any takers at that low price. SO the owners are upping the price on them now.....guess there is someone in the whole wide world that...might buy...might take the it off your hands.
Allowing the car to move forward or backwards slightly when parking or maneuvering in close places, will make the steering lighter. If you just turn the steering with the car stationary, it will be more difficult.
hahaha! this quirks and features remind me so much of my evora. the ridiculous ergonomics, low rent interior, lack of space. but the drive is all i care about!! i'd love to add a 4C to the stable lol
The 4C is an incredible toy! Is useless for most things, but it’s amazing for having fun while driving! I sold mine a while back, but I still miss it and keep thinking about buying another one 😄
I like the screen for its functionality. Everything seems to work great, and having the backup camera is a huge upgrade and extremely helpful. It also does Apple Car Play, and the phone integrations works great. Unfortunately, I can't tell you much about the sound. The previous owner did the upgrade in my car, so I don't know what it sounded like before. But I do know that it sounds HORRIBLE now. To the point where I get angry at the system when I try to play music :D They put in a subwoofer in the passenger footwell as well, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how they got it all to sound so bad. I'm guessing there is something that isn't set or installed quite right, but I've been playing around with all the settings I could find, and the sound only ever gets tolerable. I don't think any of that is the Alpine unit's fault, but because of that, I can't really guide you on the sound.
I reckon the carbon fibre tub plays its role to don’t make the sound good, I don’t think it had as a good acoustic abilities. In fact, every time I hear a noise, I can’t tell where is actually coming from.
@@manni8180 That's a good point. I've actually noticed that it's difficult to pinpoint "noises" from inside the cabin as well. However, I do think the awfulness of the sound system goes beyond just the carbon fiber tub. I had transistor radios in the 80's that sounded better than the speakers in the 4C :D
In the old days (when I was younger too), I would have agreed with you. And certainly, a 4C with a manual could be an exciting experience. However, in my opinion (and it is just an opinion), I like the current transmission and I think it fits the car well. I can do basic heel and toe shifts (and used to do those when I tracked my Porsche 944), but the DCT in the Alfa and the paddles instantly make me a MUCH better driver. And I'll never get tired of hearing the awesome downshifts, available sd libitum with a flick of my finger :D
First drive it before making a call. A manual box will ruin the car and make it undriveable due to the frantic unassisted steering combined with the explosive powerband. I thought the same before I drove one. Now I own one and can confirm it won't work as a manual.
This and the F Types along with the R8s are bargain cars honestly o love em. In a world where Lambos and Ferraris seem to be a standard along rich people R8s 4Cs FType And even the Porsches are bargains super car looking cars
Thank you for your kind words! At 6'8", there is a good chance you won't. It depends a little on how you're a built, and what kind of position you are willing to live with. I'm 6'4" and I fit better than I would have thought. I still have a little bit of headroom left, and can even have the seat one click from the bulkhead. I wouldn't say it's the best fit for me, but it's plenty good for shorter stints. I think you'll have to try one out to see for yourself.
The enthusiasm level is what Politicians today lack. This guy could win elections with his enthusiasm level alone. Even if what he is so enthused about is not as good as the 8C. 🤣😂👍
😀 Thank you. I get excited when I talk about cars! And no, the 4C is not an 8C, but it’s also a fraction of the price - and you can easily find one to buy.
haha. 4C and 8C are very different machines. On a mountain pass or average track, the 4C will smack an 8C... The 8C is a grand tourer Maserati with a designer frock and an Alfa badge. Not very dynamic. The 4C is a focussed lightweight trackday and mountain pass weapon. 8C is beautiful and very expensive, but for fun factor and as dynamic weapon they aren't great.
I think it all depends on how you’re built. I’m 6’4” and I fit. I wouldn’t want to drive for hours, but I fit OK for shorter drives. I won’t, however, fit with a helmet on. The passenger side is a different story. I’m not even close to being able to fit there (see section in video on this).
Can you get those with a stick shift? My two Mr2 spyders, both are manual. Love mid engine cars. Triptronic sequential shifting, I'll use that when I'm playing a videogame. Lol!
No manual available on this car (much like in F1). And you're in luck - driving it is very much like playing your favorite video game - only much more fun!
First drive one before making a decision. It is much too frantic to allow you to not have both hands on the steering wheel at all times. It is a blast and a clutch pedal would make it less driveable. A very unique experience... I am saying that as a fan of manual cara and I own and have raced classic Alfas. Drive it in anger and you will understand it.
The 4C looks good in red but man it looks sinister in black. I can’t afford an Alfa 4C so I’ll stick with a Ducati Monster instead. Same Italian thrills for less money.
Terrific review. Very accurate and fair. You can always rely on Alfa design to be jaw-droppingly original. But then, if it's an Alfa it will always come with some sort of serious drawback: terrible driving position, only enough space for a bag of peas; reliability problems, rust (in the past), etc... - But this is what makes them human and thus wins our hearts. The engines are superb (I have a 3.0 V6 GTV); they punch way above their weight - while looking like a supermodel. 😎
I feel like they have gotten (somewhat) better in the reliability and quirks department. But I very much remember all the Alfas we owned in the 80s and 90s. There was ALWAYS something wrong - and many issues would come and go. It could be frustrating at times, but it was also part of the Alfa charm.
Note...a lot of Italian cars have what they call the 'Italian Ape' driver problem. Apparently designed for a shortish person with apparently longer than average arms. That's shorter than a usual Texan, and for a person who likes to drive with straight arms, as per a conventional Race Car. Which is actually the best way to steer any car, as no-one is supposed to: - cross your arms, or drive with a single hand, or drive bolt-upright over the wheel. It's the most efficient way to drive, the circulation in your arms and hands is that way best served, and it's the Safest.
So when some idiot drives into you and cracks the carbon tub, then what? Is it a write off? or can the tub be safely repaired? Same question for the composite bodywork.
I was in love with my Giulia and Alfa Romeo as a brand, however, I will never again buy/recommend another Alfa Romeo in my life. I had the brake by wire system fail on me and it caused me to crash and total the car. They sent someone from Bosch to diagnose the vehicle and in the charts it clearly showed that something malfunctioned (brakes were slammed 2 seconds before the impact at 40 MPH and it took more than 1.5 seconds for the speed to start going down.) Also, after having had various discussions with other people, it's come to my attention that they should not have sent someone from Bosch to diagnose my vehicle because they did not design the braking system. Which means that not only is alfa/stellantis designing crappy vehicles, but they are also shady af! Anyways, stellantis told me that they were not going to take responsibility for it and that I needed to have my insurance pay for the vehicle. Absolute garbage. I will never recommend this car brand to anyone again! Buy an AUDI, BMW, Mercedes or literally anything else instead!!!
Have you driven one in anger? No other box would make the car driveable. It is too frantic, nervous and punchy powerband to have a manual. Trust me, I thought the same as you before driving one.
I have owned 14 in Africa over 22yrs and I don't have issues with them. Just maintain them right. 4C particularly uncomplicated, reliable and cheap to maintain.
It's like a proper sportscar buy then smaller.... It is build on the Lotus Elise like the Opel Speedster and the Tesla Roadster but the engine makes the difference... 👍
I have to say that for me, the 4C has plenty of power as it is. I could be wrong (it wouldn't be the first time...), but I think adding 100HP more might upset the balance of fun and serious track car that the 4C rides so perfectly now.
@@cadreamdrives great ! Im 1.92 as well. Yes I also seen other tall reviewers saying that when properly adjusted the driving position is pretty good actually...great video !
@@Alex-dz6xw Thank you! If you are thinking about getting one, I’d definitely recommend you try it out. The space depends a little bit on how you’re built as well (legs vs torso). I wouldn’t want to do a 10 hour road trip in the car (but that’s not just because of the seating position), but it’s fine for fun drives. My only issue is that there isn’t enough space for me to wear a helmet, so no track usage.
@@cadreamdrives yes the build is also important. I have big legs for example. But 1.92 is 1.92 haha. If you feel ok I should too. Also yes, you cant sit there for many hours...the car is tiring overall, not just the position. But that's the car's character and nature. It not meant to be for daily driving or long trips. It's the raw sports car feel and the pure driving experience that it offers. And that's what people love about this car. Again, thanks a lot !!!
I tend to agree with this in general. Black was not my first choice for the 4C either, but over time, it has actually grown on me. Never mind that you need to wash it within two minutes of taking it out in order for it to not look dirty....
Stock tyres were not great, driven mainly by journalists who are not great drivers. All racing drivers rave about them on track and in mountain passes - where and from whom it matters. That being said, by minor tweaks it becomes a serious weapon. I fitted different tyres and fettled with alignment and front geometry and cut 3s of laptime on an average track. It is meant to be on the edge and exhilirating. You have to know what you are doing. Not as easy as an expensive supercar like a Lambo or Fezza to track, but so rewarding if you get it right.
@@Kalahari46 Haven't driven one but pretty sure it's a wonderful car, I simply don't enjoy automatic cars. I'd have a lot more choices of great cars if I was going to buy them, I want the toys with manual transmission.
@@Mexxx65 Drive it first at pace and then you tell me it needs a manual box 😉 you won't... trust me. Your hands will be too busy on the steering wheel trying to keep things under control - torque/weight, turbo punch and adhd steering makes it rowdy... You still get manuak paddle shifters, you just don't have a clutch pedal.
I think that all depends on your perspective. $60k (or in some cases, $45k) is not a trivial amount of money by any stretch - but when compared to what cars at this level generally go for, the 4C is definitely a bargain! You get so much for your money, compared to other cars.
Its the size of a Miata, does not have a flat 6 or a V 8, 10 or 12 cyl engine, no awd, no storage and is tiny inside....Looks pretty cool but is too short, too narrow and too small overall....

They are fantastic cars - and just so beautiful! I ended up selling mine, but I’m always thinking that I may get another one some day!
Its considered,"the fun car." Totally worth it!👍✌
I just got a red one with only 11k kms.
The 4C may or may not get any more attention.
a coulple years ago, a 4C could be had for under $40K ... but the lack of manual trans is a deal breaker for most drivers.
I think it’s mostly a dealbreaker for people who haven’t driven the 4C. The DCT is fantastic, and I would take that any day over a manual!
It reminds me a lot of the 8C.
Which Jeremy Clarkson discribed as the most beautiful car ever made 👍
Congratulations on this beauty !!
Thank you! Videos and photos just don’t do it justice. The car is even more incredible in real life!
I think the automatic shifting in this car is terrible, but everything else is 100% accurate! Dynamic mode with manual shifting is the only way to drive this car. Can't wait to drive mine again :)
I think it all comes down to driving styles. But luckily, we have the option to go manual, and what a glorious option it is!
your reviews are so funn and wholesome to watch omgg
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoy them!
I bought one last week, took it to the dragon over the weekend and I am in love 🥰
Definitely the right car for that drive! And so, so beautiful to look at took! Congratulations on your purchase!
Very accurate description!
Una belleza sin igual!👏👏👏🏁🏁🏁🍀🍀🍀💪💪💪✌✌✌🍾🍾🍾🥂🥂🥂😍😍😍😎😉👍👍👍

IN BLACK............THIS CAR IS STUNNING /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
How many times must I say it! Go into the settings menu and turn down the seatbelt buzzer. Or don’t turn the key on until you’re buckled in! 🤦🏾♂️
And dude, my 4c Spider does nothing but road trips 40689 miles of them. What are you talking about?😂
true that. hated forgetting to buckle up before turning the key. our ears!
I found a lot of first world problems in this video. I would just drive it and smile about all the 4c quirks and features.
First world problems? Most definitely! I’m lucky and blessed to be able to own and drive this car!
But even first world problems can be annoying 😀
Yep an amazing Alfa ❤ in Australia these have increased in value. Cheers 😊
This tall Scandinavian is handsome and has nice legs ~Hairy-blonde😋🤫
Looks amazing!
Great review, well done
Thank you very much!
How’s the Alpine screen? Have considered one for mine, among others.. Any change in sound quality? I currently have the Parrot(?) one.. 😊
You don’t buy this car to listen to stereo music guys…leave that for your daily
@@CI_4C some of us enjoy music when driving these kind of cars, and there are also people dailying these 😊
Only issue when i drive my 4c is my Blood pressure rises. 😊
They should put that feature on the options list! 😀
Saw a White one with a special spoiler on it the kind where the mounts from the top of the wing and it was loud almost straight piped.
At well over $100K for a second hand one in Oz, they are hardly a bargain. A cool car but they sure aren’t cheap.
Ouch! That's definitely a pretty penny! It seems you guys always get hit hard on the car prices!
I am Italian, and don't worry, it wasn't offensive. Thanks for this video!
😄Thank you very much!
For me, it only has one issue, never built with a manual transmission
In the old days (when I was younger too), I would have agreed with you. And certainly, a 4C with a manual could be an exciting experience. However, in my opinion (and it is just an opinion), I like the current transmission and I think it fits the car well. I can do basic heel and toe shifts (and used to do those when I tracked my Porsche 944), but the DCT in the Alfa and the paddles instantly make me a MUCH better driver. And I'll never get tired of hearing the awesome downshifts, available sd libitum with a flick of my finger :D
The 4C can't work with a manual gear box, its just too short of a decline and spools so fast a manual would make it a hot mess.
First drive it before making a call. A manual box will ruin the car and make it undriveable due to the frantic unassisted steering combined with the explosive powerband. I thought the same before I drove one. Now I own one and can confirm it won't work as a manual.
'to find out, I actually bought that car', would love to be able to say that too 😅
Yes.... it's a dream, achievable dream
This and the F Types along with the R8s are bargain cars honestly o love em. In a world where Lambos and Ferraris seem to be a standard along rich people
R8s
4Cs
FType
And even the Porsches are bargains super car looking cars
Hey man, great vid! The 4C is my dream car but i also have the height issue. Im 6’8 and was wondering if i could fit in one.
Can’t
Thank you for your kind words!
At 6'8", there is a good chance you won't. It depends a little on how you're a built, and what kind of position you are willing to live with. I'm 6'4" and I fit better than I would have thought. I still have a little bit of headroom left, and can even have the seat one click from the bulkhead. I wouldn't say it's the best fit for me, but it's plenty good for shorter stints.
I think you'll have to try one out to see for yourself.
Not a chance. I own one and my buddy is 6'7 and there was no way he was getting in that thing. Even over 6'2 is pushing it.
I drive one daily and love every journey.
It’s impossible to drive it and not have a smile on your face! 😀
Love your video and I love Alfas.Hoping to buy a nice 2018 Spider I just found with 6.000miles. It will be my third Alfa.
Best of luck! Of hope you’re able to get it!
whoa, I was expecting to hear "boppity-boppity-bopp, we are back, we are back" RIP in Godfather
You need to remove those hideous things next to the rear numberplate, currently ruining the rear end. Great review.
:D I would - but I think that would require me to move as well, and then it would no longer be CA Dream Drives...
I like your final line. 👍
Love the 4c.
How tall can a driver be and still fit in the car?
Same Italian thrills for less money.
already in the shop immediately after this video was made

@@cadreamdrives Very true!
No rust problems now. Is it fair to keep going on about the Alfa's & Lancia's & Fiat's of the 1970's/80's ?
I wish they had made a V6 model and a little bigger
Underrated comment here.

I need that exhaust on my Brera TBi! 🙂
You don’t use premium gas?
Yes, always premium gas!
Very nice
Thank you very much!
Unfortunately it does not come with a proper 6 speed manual transmission.
Have you driven one in anger? No other box would make the car driveable. It is too frantic, nervous and punchy powerband to have a manual. Trust me, I thought the same as you before driving one.
Great❤
Guy after my own heart lol!
Thank you very much!
haha thanks. What's the accent? swedish?
Owned several of the brand in Europe and the U.S. High maintenance and undependable!
Not much to maintain. Maybe true for some Alfas but not for the 4C
I have owned 14 in Africa over 22yrs and I don't have issues with them. Just maintain them right. 4C particularly uncomplicated, reliable and cheap to maintain.
My car...not bad not good😮
How much?
It's like a proper sportscar buy then smaller....
It is build on the Lotus Elise like the Opel Speedster and the Tesla Roadster but the engine makes the difference... 👍
yes and sounds like you like it in the tail pipe as well
a dream
Love my 4C. Black like yours! But immagine 100 kg less and 100 hp more😎🍀. All made by Scara.
I have to say that for me, the 4C has plenty of power as it is. I could be wrong (it wouldn't be the first time...), but I think adding 100HP more might upset the balance of fun and serious track car that the 4C rides so perfectly now.
The 500 abarth is practically the same engine and steering wheel
That is soooo incorrect. This engine is the same as the Gulieta QV and the same used in the TCR.
Abarth use a 1.4 Multiair, Alfa has 1.75 dohc
Whats your height mate ?
😊I’m 6’4” (192cm). It’s tricky to get in and out of the car, but once seated, the fit isn’t too bad.

More like a sports car not a super car.
I’d rather get a Honda civic type R as much as I like this 4c.
Very different thing. Not comparable at all. You may as well get a superbike instead, as that is about as relevant a comparison.
But they look horrid. It's subjective I know....
$50,000 is still a shit lot of money for a used car!
It’s definitely not a trivial amount! However, in comparison with what many other cars are going for, the 4C is a bargain.
Black is my least favorite color for this car because it hides a lot of the body lines😜
I tend to agree with this in general. Black was not my first choice for the 4C either, but over time, it has actually grown on me. Never mind that you need to wash it within two minutes of taking it out in order for it to not look dirty....
It's 4cly stop trying to get the prices to rise
I mean it's a nice car but calling a 4-cylinder car a supercar? LOL
Pink shoes?
Yes!

$50k in Singapore only can buy a motorcycle only. Very cheap
So sorry to hear that! I grew up with cars being crazy expensive, so I feel your pain!
Secondly the car life for Singapore is limited for 10 years. After that need to scrap it or pay another $$$ for another 10 years renewal of ownership.
Sure would like to give you thumbs up, but you did not tell us how big YOU are.
I didn’t realize it wasn’t mentioned in this video. I usually always include it.
I’m 6’4” / 192cm 😊
Beautiful car but it never got actual accolades for actually having handling pedigree. which, after all, was it's design brief.
The seats are a little small brah.

60k$ is not a "bargain"
I think that all depends on your perspective. $60k (or in some cases, $45k) is not a trivial amount of money by any stretch - but when compared to what cars at this level generally go for, the 4C is definitely a bargain! You get so much for your money, compared to other cars.
