I recognize the effort of the work, but why not unzip the fabric and wash this cover. To me after washing this mattress the inside will get worse. In other hand, I suppose for the owner is less expensive paying for the washing than buy a new one😢, but honestly I couldn't sleep in there anymore. I would rather buy a new....

@@change-cleaning-service-center look to the minute 9:06 you will see in the corner of the mattress that there is a zip... you zip it out from there, and then you took off the cover. and there is also a sewing area you can took it off and resew the cover .
@Batoul Bella I have zips on my mattress so I can take the cover off often to dry clean it thick and paded. and I put a mattress cover on top of mattress
It is great to see him scrubbin a mattress. Who would ever think you could wash a mattress? I think what we are all wondering is, how is he going to dry it?
They're in the middle of a desert. Throw it outside in the sun for several hours, it will dry just fine.

14:07 The mattress has a removable cover, you could remove it and wash it (with better results) in the washing machine.
You used less detergent, less water, you rinsed it better!
The way you washed it, 40% of the detergent remained in the mattress, it will smell bad and cause allergies!

I was going to say the same thing. I saw the zipper at the end of the video. LOL
At the end of video we see a zipper on the side of mattress . Could it be thats for removing and putting in a washing machine. I dread water going down the drain , these men find some discards and try to use though and clean the rugs beautifully! There should be a way to recycle water too. Reusing dirty water on dirty things at first or maybe soak rugs overnight ,put them in the rain . Brush off beat off most dirt first ?
Nevertheless keep recycling items making them usable again.
I asked a bed salesman once if the zipper meant I could wash the cover, and he said "NO!! Don't try to remove the cover. The zip is for manufacturing purposes only. you would not be able to get it back on again."
I'm sure there are more than a few who would appreciate something that is soft and clean to rest on even though the springs are sagging. Something to think about during the Christmas Season. May God Bless.

I have cleaned a mattress several times. For simple stuff a carpet machine with upholstery attachment does the trick, or scrub brush using minimal water while its on its side and against the wall with a few towels beneath it and a fan...dries fine. Once, while we were away on an overnight trip, our dog had a not so little accident on my daughters twin size mattress. When you can't just go buy a new one, cleaning similar to this works but you have to keep it on its side, do it outside, and start early so the sun and wind can thoroughly dry it. It's not easy, nor is it ideal, but it can be done.

Huh? This guy wastes water on some ancient mattress (BTW remembering mattresses shouldn't be used for more than 8 years) So is this just for profit? Are the mattresses then donated somewhere?
This was a very interesting process to watch. My primary thought was that they would never get all that padding and the seams dry, plus the mattress is already worn out so what's the use in cleaning it?
Then I saw the zipper for taking the cover off the frame to wash it either by hand or in a large industrial washing machine. It certainly would have been easier to dry.

Maybe it has sentimental value!lol I didn't know a mattress was capable of being deep cleaned since you can't take it apart and most of the dirt and dead skin seeps in a mattress, but I've been wrong before.

I take my mattresses outside and wash them every year. I clean them and lean them up against the tree and let them air dry in the sun night time and bring them inside.That way the sun dries them and they smell so good.🙂

So how many days for this type of mattress (foam type) to completely dry? I’ve washed my mattress this way due to all the bed bugs crawling everywhere and i had to wash it this way to ensure no more bugs crawling the bed. Problem is it’s been almost a week now and still wet when you apply pressure on the foam. While it looks dry on the outside, when you press it, wet spots clearly form. How long is the drying process?
I want to do the same for my mattress, it has springs inside, that's what makes me hesitant to do it, I am worried they could rust, I thought about leaning it against a wall, and let it air and sun dry since the sun is very hot where I live, do you think I should proceed with the washing process?

If the washing detergent they use is anything like Biotex, the padding will have soaked up the washing detergent and it will have broken down the mould spores and any bacteria inside as well. Especially since it looks like it had a good soak all over.
I don't think it is possible to wash a mattress. It probably all wet and crumbling inside. The strings will rust.

Definitely recommend buying a bissell, my mum uses one to get marks off mattresses. It pulls all the dirt out the fabric, whereas what your doing its just absorbing all the dirt :)

We put the mattress under direct sunlight for 3-4 days to dry
